I never imagined I would see this blue velvet Alexander McQueen Fall 2008 coat, with gold embroidery on the red carpet, but of course it would be Trudie Styler who’d make it happen.

Trudie is not afraid of taking risks. They don’t alway pay off, but I really do like what she has done here.

She looks regal, like a queen without her tiara, but she would have to lose those gold hooped earrings.

When I first saw Kerry Washington in this gold Jasmine di Milo Fall 2007 dress, with the sheer yoke I hated it. But to be honest it has grown on me. There is something quite futuristic and McQueen-esqe about it.

Kerry was safely consistent last year, so it’s nice to see her wear something with a bit of an edge.

The Jasmine di Milo Fall 2007 collection seems like it’s having a bit of a revival. First Rihanna, now Kerry.

She completes her look with a black Mary Norton clutch, with gold detailing.

Demi Moore arrived with her hubby, wearing a stunning silver and black sequined dress, which she wore with the heavenly Christian Louboutin Eugenie satin pumps.

Jessica Alba wore black pants and a black tank, but she brighten up her look with a gold blazer, gold peep-toes, and a gold Jimmy Choo Kase oval clutch.

Marisa Tomei wore a black dress with bronze bubble hem. She completed the look with black tights, pumps and her Fendi Borderline satin clutch.

Shakira wore a strapless royal blue Carolina Herrera gown with black detailing on the side.

Kate Walsh arrived wearing a strapless Missoni floral printed dress, with brown sequined bodice.

MTV and ServiceNation’s “Be The Change: Live From The Inaugural Ball”

Demi Moore continues to blow me away.

She looks outstanding wearing a black strapless Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2009 cocktail dress, with a folded detail on the front of her skirt.

Her hair was wavy, make-up flawless, and she is starting to become one of my girl crushes.

Rosario Dawson showed off her enviable hourglass figure, wearing a body-con black satin Dolce & Gabbana gown.

Samantha Harris looked chic in a Farah Angsana Fall 2008 red chiffon gown with a pleated bodice.

The Creative Coalition’s 2009 Inaugural Ball

Anne Hathaway wore this red chiffon Dior gown, which had a gold embellishment on the empire line.

I do like the dress, but had the plunge not been so low, and had her shoulders been down instead of hunched up, I would have liked this even more.

I adore this strapless nude multi-tiered gown that Rachael Leigh Cook wore last night.

The dress is ultra-feminine with ruching on the bodice to add the floaty, girlie look.

Kim Raver wore a silvery strapless J. Mendel gown, with embellished detail on the bodice. She matched her dress with a silver clutch and a tasseled silver necklace.

Desperate Housewives actress Dana Delany was very elegant in a olive taffeta gown.

Alfre Woodard who also stared in Desperate Housewives, wore a Pamella Roland elegant white silk crepe strapless evening gown with a ruched bodice.

The Inaugural Purple Ball

Ashley Judd wore a silver one-shouldered Monique Lhuillier Spring 2008 gown with a bubbled tiered detail on the skirt.

Best Dressed Award
What more can be said about the stunning Olivia Wilde, that has not been said already?

She was one of the first to hit the red carpet in her exquisite Reem Acra Bridal Spring 2008 gown.

The gown had an jewel detail on the hip, and a gorgeous ruffled skirt.

Most Dramatic Award
Finally some Versace Spring 2009 on the red carpet.

January Jones was one of the few to bring drama to the red carpet wearing a Versace one-shouldered gown, with gold trim folds for added detail.

Biggest Hair Award
Drew Barrymore was stunning on the red carpet. Her hair was teased into a big style ala Marylin Monroe.

Her grey/blue John Galliano gown hung delicately off her shoulder, as she channeled Old Hollywood.

Best Gown Award
Maggie Gyllenhaal looked charming wearing a blue leopard print Lanvin Spring 2009 asymmetrical gown, which was presented on the runway in a much shorter style.

Best Strapless Gown Award
Jennifer Morrison’s electric blue Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2009 was beautifully complimented with her blue stone Lorraine Schwartz earrings, which were made specially for the dress.

Best Dressed Brit Award
Kate Winslet did us Brits proud, not only in the style stakes wearing this YSL strapless gown. But by also winning the Best Supporting Actress award for The Reader.

She sparkled in Chopard jewels.

The Turn Back Time Award
I don’t know how Demi Moore does it, but she must bottle it, and sell it.

Demi showed us why she is married to a much younger man, when she walked the red carpet wearing this cute pink Christian Dior Spring 2009 haltered gown.

The actress turned back the clock at least 20 years.

Best Black Award
Evan Rachel Wood’s Elie Saab Fall 2006 Couture black tiered gown, was by far the best black dress on the red carpet, as it shimmered as walked.

Again there is not a hit of Dita von Teese.

Best Asymmetrical Dress Award
I am so proud of America Ferrera, because she didn’t wear black, as I was expecting her to.

Instead she opted for this silver asymmetrical Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2009 dress, which was actually presented in black.

I love the gathered detail on the skirt, and the embellished detail on the neckline.

Most Vibrant/Best Red Award
Eva Longoria’s red Reem Acra gown, more than stood out against the red carpet. The actress who is just recovering from a cold, showed no signs of illness as she looked red hot.

She completed her look with a Daniel Swarovski silver clutch.

Most Improved Award
I really love this Reem Acra Pre-Fall 2009 gown on Rumer Willis.

Finally she has found a dress that compliments her hair.

Most Va Va Voom Award
I thought Hayden Panettiere looked outstanding, as she brought out the sex kitten wearing this Gianfranco Ferré Spring 2008 strapless eggplant gown.

This dress may look familiar, and that’s because it’s from the same collection as the dress Jennifer Morrison wore to the People’s Choice Awards.

Best Floral Award
Jenna Fischer looked ethereal in a multi floral print silk chiffon V-neck Zuhair Murad Resort 2009 gown with crystal embellished waist.

She completed her look with Chopard jewels.

Best Curves Award
Salma Hayek wore a figure-hugging Bottega Veneta gown, which shows us that my sexy senorita is back to her beautiful best.

She completes her look with Boucheron jewels.

If It Ain’t Broke Don’t Fix It/Another Strapless Gown Award
Kate Beckinsale is starting to become really predictable.

Yes she has a body to die for, and look fabulous in this J. Mendel gown. But I hope for her next red carpet appearance she wears something other than a figure-hugging strapless gown.

Best Over 40 Award
It not all about the youngsters. Kristin Scott Thomas more than held her own on the red carpet wearing a silk champagne Lanvin gown with sash neck-tie.

Good, But Not Great Award
Angelina Jolie’s shimmering Atelier Versace gown with a thigh-high split is not black – thankfully.

Best Couture Award
Anne Hathaway’s Armani Privé Fall 2006 gown was embroidered with Swarovski crystals. I wanted to be more wowed by her dress, but she does look absolutely stunning.

Best Necklace Award
Beyonce was not going to take any risks tonight, so she returned to her old friend Elie Saab who created this stunning strapless Spring 2008 Couture embroidered gown.

For those of you who watched the red carpet show on E!, you would have noticed that the dress was a little tight around the hips on B.

I really liked Beyonce necklace, which complimented the jeweled detail on the gown.

Best Colour Co-Ordination Award
I love how Christina Applegate complimented her yellow Roberto Cavalli strapless gown with yellow Lorraine Schwartz jewels and yellow diamond clutch.

Best Nude Award
Nude dress and gowns were very popular at this event, but for me Elizabeth Banks’ J. Mendel Spring 2009 ruffled gown, stood out the most.

The timeless/ageless beauty that is Demi Moore, arrived at the launch of Trump International Hotel and Tower Dubai wearing a cerulean blue Zac Posen Trickle halter dress back in June.

She wore her dress with with Ivanka Trump jewels, a black clutch and gold peep-toes.

The silk halter dress has a large ruffle detail cascading down the front of the dress to complete this elegant look.

You can buy this dress from Net-A-Porter’s international site for £1,150 or Saks.com for $1,800.

“Flawless” London Premiere

Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher hit the red carpet at the UK charity premiere for her new movie Flawless last night, and she look exactly that, despite the high 80s hairstyle.

The star who continues to defy her age, looked gorgeous wearing a black Chanel dress with a fringed detail for sleeves and a peplum on the waist.

Ashton on the other hand looks a lot less polished. The tie is beyond hideous, and I have never been a fan of men wearing suits that are not co-ordinated.

“Late Show with David Letterman”, New York

Did Teri Hatcher get in a fight with one of her co-stars on the way to Letterman last night? Because it looks like her dress has been ripped on one side.

It also looks like it’s unfinished, either way I am undecided as to weather this is genius or just sloppy, as I like it and I am repelled by it, all at the same time.

I liked the corseted steel grey Amanda Wakeley dress, the draping of dove coloured silk skirt, but I’m not sure if I like it all together.

“The Women” Photocall, Germany

Meg Ryan, was the only star of her hit movie The Women to attend this photocall in Germany this week.

She wore head-to-toe black. She wore a gold button L’Wren Scott dress, with black knee-length boots.

I really liked her long wavy hair in this movie.

10th Annual Key To The Cure Charity Shopping Weekend, New York

Lindsay Lohan looks quiet sweet here wearing a Matthew Williamson tapestry rose print top, black leather pants, and a bright pink pair of Christian Louboutin C’est Moi shoe boots.

Becki Newton opts for her favourite type of dress – a mini dress.

Debra Messing wears a very summery multi-coloured maxi Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress.

Africa Rising Music & Fashion Festival 2008, London

Every time I see Christina Aguilera on the red carpet, I always assume she can not get any worst, and every time I am wrong.

The singer arrived at the pretentious Royal Albert Hall in London last night wearing a Emilio Pucci Fall 2008 tunic, with black leather trousers, and purple YSL platform heels.

Like all that was not bad enough, she goes and adds clown make-up to complete this disaster.

Glamour Reel Moments, New York

Demi Moore sticks to her usual dark colours.

She wore a Catherine Malandrino black dress, with YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps.

It would have loved this sophisticated look had she added a touch of colour.

This is not a repost, it’s just uncanny that Courteney Cox and Demi Moore look so much alike. I never noticed it before.

They could be twins.

Courteney wore a black Balenciaga ensemble.

Kirsten Dunst’s black and white star print Topshop silk dress is so cute. It makes me wish I had brought one before they sold out.

Anna Faris picks up some much needed kudos points wearing this colourful printed sweet-heart neckline dress, with jeweled embellishments.

Calvin Klein’s New “Seductive Comfort” Bra Line Promotion, London

Eva Mendes never looks anything short of perfect, and on this occasion she does it again, as she smolders wearing a simple black Calvin Klein dress with lime green panels.
