Red Carpet Fashion Awards

It was WAGs night out in Manchester yesterday, as Philip Armstrong hosted a fashion show at Harvey Nichols’ department store with Coleen Rooney in attendance.

Coleen opted to wear a pink fit-and-flare Philip Armstrong dress with padded shoulders which is not to dissimilar from the previous look.

Whilst the dress has some cute elements, you wouldn’t wear this dress past the age of five for a themed costume party.

What was the designer thinking when incorporating those nude panels? Which don’t look so nude against Coleen’s tangoed tan.

Giuseppe Zanotti beige mesh peep-toe platforms and a gold YSL clutch completed her pukey pink look.

More WAG watch as Coleen Rooney was out again today at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, England with her WAG-a-licious posse for the John Smith’s Grand National Ladies’ Day.

Coleen showed her support for local Liverpool designer Philip Armstrong by looking uber cute wearing one of his dresses.

Last month she tweeted how much she loved this sleeveless dress has a lace top with a structural flares skirt.

She accessorized with Christian Louboutin peep-toes and a black fold-over clutch.

A top knot and diamond-studded earrings completed the look.

This is quite a refined look for the WAG don’t you agree?

Love or loathe?

One of my favourite looks of the year so far came courtesy of Ginnifer Goodwin wearing a striking neon pink Roksanda Ilincic Spring 2012 dress.

The actress wore this pink ‘Margot’ lantern sleeve dress to the 2012 People’s Choice Awards back in January.

Her dress was styled with Van Cleef and Arpels jewelry, Jimmy Choo ‘Kyrle’ ankle boots and a black Kzeniya envelope clutch added a slightly tougher edge to her look.

Coleen Rooney was spotted at Aintree yesterday heading to her private box with friends wearing the same dress, which was accented with a black patent leather belt.

The WAG also added a black clutch and towering peep-toe Louboutins to her look.

Ginnifer wins for me.

I love the knee-length version of her dress. Her look was so stylish and effortless.

I also prefer her sleek marcel waves to Coleen’s backcombed bouffant.

Manchester United Football Club hosted their annual Players of the Season Awards at Old Trafford last night.

All the championship players and their WAGs were there, but the Queen Bee Coleen Rooney caught my attention.

The WAG to Wayne Rooney looked lovely wearing a summery Azzedine Alaia Asteride knit dress.

It looks like the WAGs are following the celebrity trend of wearing Christian Louboutin Daffodil platforms which Coleen colour co-ordinated with a matching quilted Chanel clutch.

Her hair and make-up are flawless.

I’m really excited to let you know that theOutnet.com will be having an amazing Alaia sale this coming Tuesday 24th May.

Here is just a sneak-peek at the heart-stopping shoes, belts and bags which will be available at up to 60% off so mark your calendars now.

Gwyneth Paltrow wore this pretty pink Azzedine Alaia dress to attend the Baume & Mercier Gala Evening in Geneva, Switzerland back in January.

The actress, who was named as the newest ambassador of the watch brand, teamed the dress with a pair of eye-catching Pierre Hardy bright pink peep-toe heels and a Baume & Mercier watch.

I do like this look on Gwyneth but have to agree with some of your comments that it is a little too cutesy on her and doesn’t really drape around her waist too well.

I would also have preferred lighter eye makeup, rather than the smoky eyes that Gwyneth went for.

Coleen Rooney wore the same dress to attend Ladies Day at Aintree earlier this month.

She looked lovely teaming the dress with a matching Louis Vuitton ‘Limelight’ clutch and nude Prada peep-toe platforms.

Her look was completed by teasing her hair into a half updo and wearing co-ordinating candy pink nail polish and lipgloss.

My vote is going to Coleen because her outfit is such a great springtime look and I think the dress fits her figure better than it does on Gwyneth.

I love that Coleen also stuck to a monochromatic colour scheme with her accessories, nail polish and makeup and managed to keep it looking interesting.

As you know I love WAGs.

I won’t pretend I don’t love their ‘more money than style’ approach to fashion as I find it thoroughly entertaining.

Coleen Rooney was spotted wearing Chanel as she made her way to watch her husband play for Manchester United against Everton last week.

The Liverpudlian wore a Chanel Resort 2011 gold striped dress with a matching cropped cardigan.

Her dress is considerably shorter to the one presented on the runway and it’s perfect for Spring.

Coleen accessorized her look with a beige Chanel quilted bag and Christian Louboutin cork platform sandals.

Only a WAG would wear Chanel to Old Trafford.
