Television Academy’s Farewell to Mad Men Event

Television Academy's Farewell to Mad Men event

The Television Academy hosted a farewell event for the popular television series, ‘Mad Men,’ at The Montalbán in Hollywood, California on Sunday (May 17), where the show’s leading ladies made an appearance.

January Jones: The line motif of the Jil Sander Fall 2015 collection was readily apparent in January’s ensemble, as she walked her own line in this ensemble that was all about precision. The pop of baby-blue was beautiful against the sharper edges, but the look seemed a bit too strict and forced, and the black pumps did nothing to lighten the mood.

Elisabeth Moss: Her Chikimiki Fall 2015 pleated and colour-blocked dress would have come across as more vibrant with a brighter lip and a bold shoe to magnify the hues of the frock.

Christina Hendricks: Christina arguably had the most fun with her magenta suit and embellished pumps, although the look had a more mannish spirit than we are accustomed to seeing from the curvaceous actress. Her lighter strawberry locks may continue to be a letdown here, especially for those who appreciated the vibrancy of her more fiery strands.

Christina Hendricks In Zac Posen – ‘Mad Men’ Black & Red Ball

AMC Celebrates The Final 7 Episodes Of "Mad Men" With The Black & Red Ball - Arrivals

Christina Hendricks attended the ‘Mad Men’ Black & Red Ball held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Wednesday (March 25) in Los Angeles, California to celebrate the final 7 episodes.

The actress effectively shut down the red carpet wearing a custom Zac Posen green ball gown, striking in both style and stature, which has me wondering, why hasn’t she shown this type of consistent form in the past?

The fun part about this dress is that it was a twofer, as the ball skirt could be removed to reveal a dress with a more streamline silhouette.

As a lover of the statement, go-big or go-home, I have to say I love the look with the ball skirt, but this is so good that it works either way for me.

I’m glad she had yet another green dress, red hair moment as they have always been so glorious in the past.

Christina Hendricks described the wrapping of Mad Men as a “long, emotional day” for the cast and crew, while making a guest appearance on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ to promote the final season on Monday (March 23) following the New York premiere.

Perhaps in homage to the sharply dressed series, the actress wore a pinstripe power suit by Max Mara in a chic double-breasted style.

I love this for the throwback style and the cool vibe. It seems that her stylist has hit a rich vein of form, as this is yet another great look for Christina, simply accessorized with Vhernier jewels and black pumps.

Last time out, I was bothered by Christina’s hair being down, but on this occasion I realized that what I am missing is the rich flame colour, as she has transitioned to strawberry blonde.

Christina Hendricks In Vivienne Westwood Couture – ‘Mad Men’ New York Screening

Christina Hendricks attended the ‘Mad Men’ New York screening held at The Museum of Modern Art on Sunday (March 22) in New York City.

The actress’ red carpet round has been rocky, but when she opts for designers who know how to flatter that gorgeous figure of hers, she’s onto a winner.

Her Vivienne Westwood Couture dress hugs, nips and contours in all the right places with the ruby sequin heightening the sensual appeal.

If I was to nitpick, I would’ve loved this look more with her hair up, but I’m too busy celebrating the success of her frock.

The look was styled with an Anya Hindmarch ‘Duchess’ clutch and black Jimmy Choo ‘Abel’ pumps.

Christina Hendricks In Paule Ka – 2014 International Academy Of Television Arts & Sciences Awards

Christina Hendricks In Paule Ka - 2014 International Academy Of Television Arts & Sciences Awards

Christina Hendricks attended the 2014 International Academy Of Television Arts & Sciences Awards held at New York Hilton on Monday (November 24) in New York City.

Following her impressive Zac Posen dress from last week, I want to applaud this Paule Ka effort, but I am on the fence.

After all it’s not black, it highlights her gorgeous figure, but the bow has me at odds.

Is it too overwhelming or does the detail make the dress?

I’m leaning towards the latter as the gown would’ve been straight up and down without it.

Ivory and blue striped Bionda Castana ‘Lama’ pumps, a sparkling navy clutch and Kwiat jewels accessorized the look with a simple ponytail and lip-plumping red shade providing the finishing touch.
