Chloe Sevigny In Proenza Schouler – 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards

Chloe Sevigny kept it monochrome at the 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 5) in New York City.

Her custom black and white lacquered dress by Proenza Schouler was in-keeping with the ‘American Horror Story’ actress’s edgy modern style.

The Proenza Schouler cuff was the perfect accompaniment for the lace effect dress and cropped bib-style top.

I love the ensembles futuristic touches, like the silver clutch. These details were grounded by the choice of simple strappy sandal and high bun.

Black and white, futuristic and classic, the look was a harmonious balance and blend of styles and colours.

Chloe Sevigny In Opening Ceremony – Creative Time Gala 2017

Chloe Sevigny attended the Creative Time Gala 2017 on Wednesday (May 3) in New York.

I wouldn’t exactly describe her Opening Ceremony Spring 2017 flutter-sleeve dress as creative, which may surprise some as the actress is known for her more provocative grasp of style.

While the Delfina Deletrezz choker and black boots did make this more of a signature Chloe look by edging up the girly spirit of the frock, the styling is what didn’t sit well with me.

It was really the choker that was the toughest sell, given the high neckline and her long locks.

Chloe Sevigny In Preen – ‘The Dinner’ LA Premiere

One of the few events taking place on Monday night other than the Met Gala was ‘The Dinner’ LA premiere, attended by Chloe Sevigny.

If your first thought looking at this floral dress was designd Vivienne Westwood, you were not alone, however, you would’ve been wrong as it was Preen.

I have never been a fan of a look feeling restrictive so the squished chest is putting me off this look.

Chloe Sevigny In Alessandra Rich – 2017 Tribeca Film Festival After Party For ‘The Dinner’

Chloë Sevigny attended the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival after-party for ‘The Dinner’ on Monday (April 24) in New York City.

Chloë’s habitual style has always been an acquired taste. You either love it or hate it.

This may stir up some controversy, but I don’t hate this lime green Alessandra Rich dress from the Fall 2017 collection.

Sure, it’s a lot to take in, the high collar, shoulder embellishments, and the wide belt with a rhinestone heart, but the punchy green velvet is simply electrifying. It’s fearless, and we shouldn’t expect anything less from fashion’s most provocative trailblazer.

I wish she would have opted for a different shoe.

Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons Collaboration Launch Party

No stranger to collaborations, Louis Vuitton has now partnered with pop artist Jeff Koons on a limited line of accessories launching in April 28. To celebrate this Masters capsule collection, a dinner was held in Paris on Tuesday (April 11), with a host of LV-clad lovelies in attendance.

Jennifer Connelly: With a nod to a softer, romantic mood, Jennifer let her hair down in this decorative brocade and lace frock topped with a feathery stole. The label’s signature patent booties brought back the edge we’d expect in a look from this actress.

Fan Bingbing: Fan wore the signature sheer asymmetry of this gown effortlessly, which we’ve seen in different variation on Sophie Turner and Janice Man. I just think it would have been better served by sleeker styling, as the handbag and earrings competed rather than complemented the dress.

Cate Blanchett: As per, Cate cut a striking figure. But, the tailored regality of the sculptural top disappeared a bit with the drop-crotch pants, which can be something of an acquired taste.

Chloe Sevigny In Proenza Schouler - '#Horror' New York Premiere

Chloe Sevigny attended the New York premiere of ‘#Horror’ on Wednesday (November 18) in New York City.

I have always liken Chloe’s style to marmite; you either love it or hate it.

My feeling is this Proenza Schouler Spring 2016 look will cause yet another divide.

I’m sure some will argue that there is too much going on with this flamenco-inspired piece.

However, I am on the love side – from the ankles up.

Yes, it’s a little all over the place with the ruffles, the cut out, the asymmetrical hemline and cow patches, but it’s visually arresting, and a much needed antidote to lack of colour and chances taken on the red carpet in recent weeks.

A Proenza Schouler ‘Hava’ clutch and oversized Proenza Schouler earrings rounded out the look.

Do you love it or hate it?
