Front Row @ NYFW Weekend Catch Up

Front Row @ NYFW Weekend Catch Up

Here’s a quick catch up of the front row who caught my eye during New York Fashion Week this weekend.

Ciara @ Prabal Gurung: The singer wore a pretty Prabal Gurung embroidered angular insert dress with a flared silhouette styled with bondage boots courtesy of Casadei, which were presented during the designer’s Fall 2013 collection.

Solange Knowles @ Alexander Wang: What’s not to love about Solange’s outfit? The colour, the quirky glasses, the Wang Resort 2014 skirt, that bag and those sexy sandals…? Perhaps it shouldn’t, but it ALL works.

Rihanna @ Opening Ceremony: It’s been a while since we saw Rihanna front row at NYFW, as she tends to skip the shows and head to the after-parties. On Sunday she was front and centre at Opening Ceremony wearing a grey Zac Posen satin floral dress with Underground ‘Wulfrun’ creepers with a Lynn Ban choker. A part of me wants to say it’s ridiculous to pair such a pretty dress with creepers, but I have to say she sells it to me, as per.

InStyle Summer Soiree 2013

InStyle Summer Soiree

There were many more lovely ladies who attended the InStyle Summer Soiree held at the Mondrian Los Angeles in West Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

Darby Stanchfield: The ‘Scandal’ actress instantly caught my eye, not only because of the striking contrast between her gorgeous flame-red beehive and electric-blue drop-waist Paper London dress, but mostly because of her pronounced eyebrows, which gave the look a futuristic vibe, further punctuated by her sculptural Kzeniya clutch and Emporio Armani silver pumps.

Ashley Tisdale: Although this sleeveless Clover Canyon ‘Orchid Trip’ neoprene dress is very much expected from Ashley, I love the soft pastel pieces styled with the look. The black clutch is very much the odd man out here.

Analeigh Tipton: The actress was one of many who also opted for neutral tones, wearing a chic tunic top and matching trousers by Ermanno Scervino accented with a black waistband. Opting not to go with black accessories, she wore white Casadei sandals and carried a gold Stark clutch, with Dannijo earrings completing the look.

2013 Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet Round Up

Teen Choice Awards 1

Here is a roundup of the rest of the looks from the 2013 Teen Choice Awards.

Anna Camp: The blonde beauty wore an Emilio Pucci powder-blue sequinned long-sleeved dress with lace and point d’esprit inserts and an open back, which she styled with silver Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps, vintage jewels, a Kotur clutch and a chic topknot. You may remember that Selena Gomez wore this in black back in March on Letterman.

Brittany Snow: Also working a lace frock, Brittany wore an Oliver Tolentino green floral lace dress with a nude underlay styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Vamp’ sandals, a coral Oroton clutch – which looks very heavy – and a matching lip colour, with a braided updo completing her look.

Joey King: The ‘White House Down’ actress opted for a pretty lime-green Moschino strapless printed dress with embellishments, styled with gold sandals and a subtle pendant necklace.

Brittany Snow In ALICE by Temperley – 2013 MuchMusic Video Music Awards

Brittany Snow In ALICE by Temperley - 2013 MuchMusic Video Music Awards

Brittany Snow joined in the fun at Bell Media Headquarters in Toronto, Canada on Sunday evening for the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards.

Like Thandie Newton, she also selected a look from the ALICE by Temperley Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

While most of the attendees wore sexy sheer looks, bandage dresses or above-the-knee frocks, the blonde actress selected a pretty dress with a polka-dot sheer overlay which billowed in the breeze.

Her hot-pink pout matched her Nancy Gonzalez clutch, with black sandals, Dana Rebecca Designs jewels, a couple of rings by Graziela and a choppy bob completing her look.

Brittany Snow In Naeem Khan – ‘Call Me Crazy: A Five Film’ Premiere

Brittany Snow In Naeem Khan - ‘Call Me Crazy A Five Film’ Premiere

Brittany Snow looked lovely at the premiere of Lifetime’s ‘Call Me Crazy: A Five Film’ at Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California.

The ‘Pitch Perfect’ actress wore an embellished black Naeem Khan dress from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection with a Tacori ring.

While on the model, this dress has all the elements to be a go-to LBD, by wearing it below the knee, and adding black pumps rather than the model’s fierce t-strap sandals,  Brittany really takes it to a slightly boring, overly mature place.

While I love Brittany’s chic bob, this curled under and pushed behind her ears styling is only adding to the ‘too mature’ look of this ensemble. She’s given it more edge in the past with soft waves and sleek, straight styling, and either of those would have helped her look more her age.

While this whole look isn’t terrible, I just find it kind of boring. Do you agree? Or am I being too harsh?
