Leighton Meester In Giambattista Valli – ‘The Oranges’ New York Screening

Leighton Meester hit the red carpet at the Tribeca Screening Room in New York City, for the screening of her new movie ‘The Oranges’ yesterday evening with co-star Huge Laurie.

I was starting to worry that Leighton has lost her mojo when it came to her footwear, so I was relieved to see her wearing a pair of Jerome C. Rousseau leopard print pumps with her Giambattista Valli Fall 2012 dress.

As you know, I’m not one to get excited about an LBD, but I love the beautiful chiffon detail draped from the waist plus the addition of the gold waistband makes this look interesting.

Sultry waves, a black clutch, gold earrings and barely-there makeup completed her look.

    <3 so pretty!

This is just OK. The dress is nothing special and it is the wrong length. Not crazy about the high neckline either. Shoes aren’t great. Hair and makeup are nice.

  • EmmaWoodhouse

Beautiful and elegant. She’s back to her best. I love the belt with the dress, the draped skirt detail, and her gorgeous hair! The shoes aren’t my favorite but they are fun and interesting. BDOTW worthy.

  • Aline

Her hair is finally looking good again. I think she looks beautiful. But I actually really don’t like the shoes.

  • Amy

if you’re going to wear a LBD that how you should do it. This is absolutely perfection. So elegant!
    I want everything

I’m probably one of the biggest Leighton Meester red carpet fans, so I am so glad ot see her back on teh red carpet. I agree about her footwear mojo, it has been down this year, an I also feel like she has been MIA on the red carpet in 2012, so I hope we see more of her and her fabulosu shoes. I think that she looks gorgeous, ehr hair is perfection, and she’s managed to make black look interesting and modern.

The length isn’t working for her – makes it look matronly and stumpifies her legs significantly,. The belt seems a bit too tight, it doesn’t just cinches in her waist but appears to be making it physically smaller, a bit too much, she needed a narrower waist-defining belt instead, her sultry waves aren’t really working either. Would’ve preferred sleek hair, a slightly shorter length and sexy sandal instead.

Overall, she is trying a bit too hard here.

Her waist looks even tinier with that belt and I love those leopard pumps.

I love this – shows that simplicity does work when done well. Gorgeous, and back on form

  • Emily

She looks beautiful! Love the belt.

  • mokka

    That’s how you rock LBD!

  • Anna

She’s back on the red carpet! And she’s looking good!

I agree that black isn’t the most exciting of colors but few colors would work against that background.

Love the shoes, she wore leopard shoes to the TIFF premiere last year of this movie as well.

Hope she doesn’t disappear from the red carpet again.

  • Joan

She looks gorgeous even in a LBD! Very well styled!

  • Yeliz

Absolutely gorgeous from head to toe.

  • Alina

    • Yei

      me too

  • Martina

She looks stunning! The dress and the shoes are great and her hair and make up are amazing! She hasn’t looked this gorgeous in a while 🙂

    • Eri

Totally agree! I never found her sexy, but here she does look so and I can see her confidence shining through! She looks absolutely gorgeous here – not to mention the lovely dress but from her hair to makeup and shoes of course 🙂

      • Christine
