Solange Knowles attended the 2012 MoMA Party In The Garden Benefit in New York City last night where she was the guest DJ.
The star is known for championing fresh young talent and on this occasion she wore a look by Central Saint Martin’s graduate Flaminia Saccucci.
She almost wore the full runway look which consisted of a green floral blazer, white blouse, and what appears to be half knickerbocker, half culottes situation.
Solange opted out of wearing the yellow-and-black tyre-track leggings – thankfully.
A gold-and-ivory clutch, gold Cartier jewels and nude Casadei pumps accessorized her look with the finishing touches including her trademark ‘fro and a hot-red lip colour.

I don’t understand the half skirt and half leotard thing she is wearing. It’s just weird and ugly.

This is a fun and quirky ensemble, I like it. Her shoes however are just boring.
She is so fun on the red carpet. I love that she is bringing new designers press cred. I love everything except for the dull shoes.
If she was wearing a proper skirt or even shorts, instead of those underpants/diaper, I would totally be on board with this look.
Solange looks drop dead gorgeous. Being a Fashion icon is not for the faint of heart and her look is clearly not for ur button down average joe so it won’t sweeten everyone’s taste bud. We have to admire and only wish we were this daring and could pull anything of! Solange is IT for me this year her fashion game constantly blows me way. Clearly a leader of the pack.

I like her a lot and admire her risk-taker approach, but can’t get into this particular look. The print is muddy, the skirt ridiculous, especially paired with the conservative shell and jacket top. Memo to the designer: just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.

This must be the definition of someone “owning” an outfit. Aside from that hideous yellow leg, the runway version just looked ridiculous to me. On Solange, however, it looks terrific. She really has an eye for what suits her.
