Sidewalk Style: Victoria Beckham In Victoria Beckham

The last time we saw Victoria Beckham out shopping she was debuting a dress from her Victoria by Victoria Beckham Spring 2012 collection.

Yesterday she was spotted out with baby Harper shopping in Manhattan wearing an elegantly tailored Cadillac-pink wool and silk-blend crepe dress from her Spring 2011 collection.

I’m so happy that VB is back to wearing colour again.

The designer accessorized her self designed dress with her namesake Victoria bag, which’s added to their virtual shelves for Fall this week, proving that she is her own best brand ambassador.

You may remember that Victoria’s BFF Eva Longoria wore this same dress earlier this year.

Lily Collins In Marc Jacobs – “Abduction” LA Premiere

When I saw Lily Collins on the red carpet at the “Abduction” LA Premiere last night, I was shocked at her transformation.

The young actress looked fabulous wearing a Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 dress.

Her floral embroidered satin neoprene dress has double grosgrain straps which she wears with one off each shoulder.

The dress also has a peplum at the waist to give her the perfect hourglass shape.

Lily appears to be channelling Audrey Hepburn with her darker hair and side-swept bangs.

I love the pop of colour via her Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps which matched her ruby lips.

This is a super cute look with plenty of personality. This has been a missing ingredient from her other red carpet looks.

Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti Spring 2012

Models walked down a spiral staircase before taking to the runway for the Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti Spring 2012 presentation during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday.

The setting was perfect for this ethereal collection.

Ms Ferretti was inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s ‘The Great Gatsby’, so we saw 20s inspired looks ranging from drop-waist dresses, loose pant suits, beaded calf-length dresses, chiffon wrap dresses with handkerchief hemlines and oversized blazers.

Floral prints dominated the collection with a neutral colour palette of nude, ice blue, grey, orange, ivory and pink.

Philosophy is the kid sister to Alberta Ferretti, but it appears she’s done a lot of growing up since last season.

I hope we get to see a lot of this collection on the red carpet and that it will be embraced by more than just young Hollywood.

Model sported a side-parting with frizzy ends whilst they walked the runway wearing bi-colour Mary Janes.

Emma Roberts In Tibi – “I Don’t Know How She Does It” New York Premiere

Emma Roberts was one of the many stars who attended the “I Don’t Know How She Does It” New York Premiere on Monday night.

The actress opted to wear a strapless Tibi dress.

Her red chiffon bustier dress is cinched at the waist and drapes beautifully to the floor.

Emma accessorized her look with a large black oversized clutch and a statement necklace with an embellished diamond-shaped charm.

She finished her look with swept up hair and light makeup.

I’m a huge fan of this dress on Emma, especially the colour, but for me the accessories don’t work for me.

The clutch is way too big and the hippie-style necklace doesn’t match the pretty, feminine vibe of the dress.

J. Mendel Spring 2012

J. Mendel’s Spring 2012 collection gave us feminine pieces that are both timeless and modern.

The designer is highly regarded for his red carpet worthy gowns and furs, so it was a refreshing to see his day-wear having a more slouchy sportswear feel featuring vertical stripes and bold colour blocking for a more modern aesthetic.

Nearly every piece was loose-fitting as they fluttered down the runway revealing thigh and central splits (hello Blake Lively).

Blue and green popped against the mostly neutral colour palette of lemon, white, black and nude with a few printed looks showcased in the middle of the presentation.

Evening wear ranged from sexy, fitted and embellished to ethereal, draped and pleated.

Gilles Mendel may find himself with a whole new celebrity fan base following this collection.

Paul Hanlon at Tigi gave the model side-swept wet look hair, whilst Gucci Westman for Revlon ensured the models had sun-kissed skin.

Front Row: Mary-Kate Olsen, Melissa George, Selma Blair and Ashley Olsen

Favourites: Printed dress with a layered peplum and one shoulder drape gown with asymmetrical skirt

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Blake Lively, Zoe Saldana, Taylor Swift, Amanda Seyfried, Gwyneth Paltrow, Solange Knowles, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Garcelle Beauvais, Leelee Sobieski, Jaimie Alexander, Jessica Alba, Michelle Williams and Lara Bingle
