Imogen Poots In Valentino – The Olivier Awards

Imogen Poots was also at the 2018 Olivier Awards on Sunday (April 8) in London, joining Kara Tointon and Ophelia Lovibond.

Clearly, a trend of this red carpet was sweeping gowns with off-the-shoulder romance, and Imogen beautifully obliged in this scintillating Valentino design.

The rush of glinting sequins throughout made for a sort of luminous movement throughout the layers of tulle, adding both dimension and dazzle.

I like how her chopped bob and smoky eye counteracted any tinges of overly precious appeal, instead adding a zap of modern edge to the enchanting princess gown.

Ophelia Lovibond In Ong Oaj Pairam – The Olivier Awards

Ophelia Lovibond joined Kara Tointon at the 2018 Olivier Awards on Sunday (April 8) in London.

Also opting for the fluidity of a draped confection, she donned an Ong Oaj Pairam Spring 2018 red chiffon gown.

With her pin curls and classic red lip, the look had something of a vintage-facing charm—even if I do think the seemingly snug bodice could have fit a little better on her.

Kara Tointon In Blumarine – The Olivier Awards

British beauty Kara Tointon was at the 2018 Olivier Awards on Sunday (April 8) in London, England.

Wrapped in an aura of bohemian romance, she donned a Blumarine Spring 2018 floral gown that ushered in an easy elegance along with the joys of the spring season to come.

This would merely be a lovely, ethereal chiffon gown were it not for the punctuation of the pouf sleeves at the sides—both a nod to classic allure and avant-garde modernity.

A navy box clutch, a pretty berry lip, and upswept locks completed this dreamy entrée to the evening.

2017 Olivier Awards Red Carpet Roundup

There were plenty more stars who climbed the steps at the Royal Albert Hall in London yesterday (April 9) for the 2017 Olivier Awards.

Denise Gough: We haven’t seen much of Burberry on the red carpet this year, yet they dressed two actresses at this event. Like Cush’s Burberry gown, Diane’s was decked out this embellishments, but unlike Cush, I didn’t love this. I’m not sure if it’s the shade of yellow, the embellishments with the yellow or the rouge lip and nail combo with the yellow gown, but something is throwing me off.

Audra McDonald: Eight-time Tony Award winner and Queen of Broadway Audra McDonald wore an exquisitely tailored gown in the softest blue-hued shade. This elegant off-the-shoulder style was one of my favourite of the night.

Rose Leslie In Christian Dior – 2017 Olivier Awards

Rose Leslie attended the 2017 Olivier Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday (April 9) in London.

I was grateful that Rose’s opted for a red Christian Dior Spring 2017 tulle gown, because I think we’ve seen every version in black the brand as to offer; so this somewhat felt like a fresh approach.

The black knitted logo bra I didn’t mind; I just still can’t bring myself to love those boy shorts with such a beautiful gown.

I’m intrigued to find out of any of you think the boy shorts work with these gowns.

Amanda Holden In Celia Kritharioti – 2017 Olivier Awards

With the Royal Albert Hall as her backdrop Amanda Holden looked mesmerising as she arrived for the 2017 Olivier Awards on Sunday (April 9) in London.

The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge wore a fairytale-like Celia Kritharioti custom gown which projects an unrivalled vision of femininity.

While there is nothing new about an asymmetrical gown, this one has been beautifully constructed with an amazing attention to detail that’s left me breathless.

This look could possibly be a BDOTY contender. Let’s see what the Met Gala and Cannes brings.
