Runway To Costume Institute Gala After Party – Jessica Biel In Marc Jacobs & Naomi Campbell In Versace

Jessica Biel changed out of her Atelier Versace red flamenco-style gown for a more comfortable look, when she attend the Costumer Institute Gala after-party hosted by Marc Jacobs at the Monkey Bar in New York with Justin Timberlake.

The actress looked much better wearing a Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 velvet blue mini dress, with nude satin Louboutin heels and a matching clutch.

I personally love dress on her, and much prefer the velvet blue to the runway velvet chartreuse.

A change for the better.

The black part at the front, is just the lining peeking out as she got out of the car. It’s the best full front shot I could find.

After pulling out of the main event in support of uninvited Azzedine Alaia, Naomi Campbell made sure she attended the after-party.

She showed off her legs in an impossibly tiny Versace Fall 2009 plunging paillette
covered aqua dress.

V59 Magazine’s 6 Supermodel Cover Swimsuit Issue

Kate Moss in a hairy Maison Martin Margiela Spring 2009 jacket, is one of 6 supermodels to grace the cover of V Magazine’s first-ever swimsuit issue, which was shot by Mario Testino.

Inside the issue you will also find other supers including Carmen Kass, Isabeli Fontana, Natalia Vodianova and some hot well oiled guys to drool over in various beach and pool side pics, that will have you longing for your summer vacations.

Claudia Schiffer in handcuffs, strikes a one-legged pose wearing a Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 swimsuit, and YSL cage booties.

Matthew Williamson for H&M campaign girl Daria Werbowy, is an absolute knock out, wearing a Versace Spring 2009 cut-out Julie Verhoeven print swimsuit.

Wearing only bikini bottoms, Eva Herzigova’s look is inspired by Marilyn Monroe. Even in the simplest, plainest swimsuit Gisele Bündchen still stands out.

Naomi Campbell takes on a Playboy look, wearing a one-piece strapless swimsuit, gold cuffs and bunny ears. I swear I have seen Naomi pictures before. This is an old picture, right?

I will be standing at my newsagents on May, 6 with Kate and Daria’s covers in my hand, deciding which to buy. You?

Who Wore Versace On The Cover Better? Claudia Schiffer, Elle Macpherson or Hayden Panettiere

One Versace dress made the cover of 3 British titles recently.

Vogue UK can take the bragging rights, as Claudia Schiffer appeared in their April 2009 issue first, wearing this metallic Versace dress on their cover.

Elle Macpherson graced the Tatler May 2009 issue, whilst the only non-model of this trio, Hayden Panettiere, wore this dress on the May 2009 cover of InStyle UK

All 3 look great, but this dress feels less predictable, and looks far better on Hayden, so she wins for me.

Versace Fall 2009

The first few pictures from the Versace Fall 2009 collection had me worried, as lots of dark and neutral colours were presented.

Had Donatella given in to the doom and gloom of the recession?

Heck no, because there was a burst of colour which included fuchsia, orange, red and every shade of blue on the colour chart, from navy to aqua.

Donatella presented what she knows best sexy, yet sophisticated glamour.

There were plenty of sequins, high-thigh splits – which Liz Hurley will love – plunging necklines, liquid, jersey dresses, belted coats with embellished hems, leather bomber jacket, and skinny pants, which were all typically Versace, but not overly flashy or excessive.

I hope to see the gowns on stars like Charlize Theron – the blue halter would look amazing on her. Penelope Cruz in any of them, because she really needs to bring sexy back.

Who Wore Versace Better? Gisele Bundchen or Mar Saura

Kimora Lee Simmons once made a statement that no one should wear something from the runway, which has been worn by supermodel Carmen Kass (pictured below), because you will just look stupid/second best.

For me this statement also applies to Gisele Bundchen, but Spanish actress Mar Saura, wore the same pink satin plunging neck Versace Fall 2008 gown to the Goya Awards, which Giselse had worn to the Costume Institute Gala last May.

My chin hit my keyboard when I first saw Gisele in this dress, and she also made my Top 10 dresses of 2008, so it’s very easy to say that she wins this for me.
