Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji – 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Best Supporting Actress nominee Octavia Spencer walked the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards this evening.

Octavia wore a Tadashi Shoji lavender chiffon draped V-neck cap sleeve gown with jewel details.

Purple seems to be a trend for this evening, and Octavia wears it well.

A sleek french twist, Christian Louboutin shoes, statement earrings and silver Judith Leiber clutch finish the look.

Jessica Chastian In Givenchy Couture – 2012 Golden Globes Awards

Jessica Chastain hit the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards red carpet this evening.

She donned a white Givenchy Couture gown which was covered in pearl details and features a high turtleneck neckline.

Unfortunately, the gown’s beautiful artistry and intricate details are completely overshadowed by that horrible backcombed hair. An up-do would have been much better for the turtleneck.

The look was worn sans clutch, naturally.

Claire Danes In J. Mendel – 2012 Golden Globes

Claire Danes looked gorgeous as she took to the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards this evening as a nominated actress in the Best Performing Actress in a Dramatic Television Series for her role in ‘Homeland.’

She wore a J. Mendel Couture gown, which is a longer version of similar dress from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

The ecru and black, draped front gown has embroidered cap sleeves and an open back was style with a chic updo.

Hot red lips and silver jewels completed her look.

Ariel Winter In Dolce & Gabbana – 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Ariel Winter hit the 2012 Golden Globe Awards red carpet this evening.

The ‘Modern Family’ actress wore a deep purple Dolce & Gabbana princess dress. The ruffled skirt was extra voluminous, thanks to a layer of peekaboo black tulle.

Looking forward to her upcoming 14th birthday, Ariel admitted that the gift she is hoping for most is her own cell-phone. How refreshing.

Ariel completed the charming ensemble with Charlotte Olympia heels.

2011 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Trends

The biggest and most surprising trend on the red carpet at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards last night was the colour green.

Never have we seen so many shades of Hunter, Kelly, Jade and Forest green on the red carpet at one event.

The colour I usually love to see on red haired stars was embraced by these gorgeous brunettes.

The other big trend we often see on the red carpet was the one-shoulder trend.

Whether they opted for the left or right side, embellished or decorated with ruffles or feathers, stars can’t get enough of this style.

It’s the perfect way to show off those Yoga toned arms.
