Harper’s Bazaar Woman of the Year Awards Red Carpet Round Up

Here are some more looks from Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards which took place at Claridge’s Hotel in London yesterday evening.

Ellie Simmonds: We’ve had the face of and the voice of the 2012 London Olympics; here we have the face of the Paralympics, Ellie Simmonds. The athlete wore a midnight-blue Stella McCartney dress with a V-neckline and black embellishments. She was honoured on the night with Victoria Pendleton and Jessica Ennis, all receiving the ‘British Ambassadors of the Year’ award.

Daisy Lowe: The model opted for pale makeup with smoky eyes and blood-red lips while wearing an embellished Elie Saab gown. Her ¾-length-sleeve gown was styled with a Charlotte Olympia clutch. Daisy often opts for this type of makeup so it wasn’t just for Halloween.

Ruth Wilson: The British actress wore a black silk camisole top with her striking Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 skirt with a flounced hem. Black Kirkwood pumps and an Anton Heunis three crystal square statement necklace accessorized her look.

Yasmin Le Bon: The supermodel wore a Willow Resort 2013 draped top and loose-fit pants with a snakeskin print which she styled with petrol-blue Nicholas Kirkwood peep-toes and a silver clutch. Read More…

Olivia Munn In Peter Pilotto – 2012 Courage in Journalism Awards

Olivia Munn attended the 2012 Courage in Journalism Awards hosted by International Women’s Media Foundation at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California last night.

The actress, who you all want to drop the cutesy looks, wore a Peter Pilotto Fall 2012 dress on this occasion.

Her blue velvet dress with a mesmerizing digital print and cut-outs was styled with Christian Louboutin ‘T-Piga’ heels.

A simple bun and glossy lips provided the finishing touches.

Is this an improvement on yesterday’s look?

You may remember that Olga Kurylenko wore this same dress back in August.

Holliday Grainger In Peter Pilotto – ‘Great Expectations’ London Film Festival Premiere

On yet another cold and rainy night during the London Film Festival, Holliday Grainger added a burst of colour to the dull red carpet.

She wore a Peter Pilotto Resort 2013 ensemble consisting of a blue sleeveless, printed, collared silk blouse featuring contrast embroidery at the yoke and a fitted pencil skirt with an equally striking print and a short side slit.

Opting not to wear the Nicholas Kirkwood heels as worn by the model in the lookbook, Holliday opted for simple black Mary Jane pumps.

Thankfully because of her bold print dress, her Charlotte Olympia ‘Pandora’ Perspex clutch, her interesting cuff and the way she’s working that bold dark lip colour, the blah shoes aren’t that much of an issue.

A spiky topknot completed her fashion-forward (sans Mary Janes) look.

Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 On ModaOperandi

Being the fashion-forward fashionista that she is, Anna Dello Russo wore a Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 look just weeks after it took to the runway in London.

The Editor-at-Large for Vogue Nippon wore the striking ensemble earlier this week for the Giambattista Valli and the Chloe Spring 2013 shows during Paris Fashion Week.

The Peter Pilotto collection, which served up architectural shapes softened by fluid lines and a host of modern digitized prints, is now available to pre-order from ModaOperandi.com.

You can even pre-order ADR’s printed Peter Pilotto blouse with short flutter sleeves and matching skirt with a flounced hemline.

My favourite look is the ‘Irina’ dress. Which one do you love?

Rashida Jones In Peter Pilotto – 2012 Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award

Rashida Jones attended Montblanc’s 2012 Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award Ceremony honoring (her father) Quincy Jones at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

Any Spring 2013 collection which has been full of delightful printed pieces, the first person I put on my ‘Who I Would Like To See Wearing This Collection’ list is Rashida, because she not afraid to wearing them.

Case and point was this gorgeous Peter Pilotto Resort 2013 fitted dress with a bold print and a white collar.

The dress wasn’t left to do all the talking as she added a Roger Vivier metallic pink clutch, and two-tone Valentino neon-pink and nude slingbacks.

Still not quite done with this fun, colourful look as she added a fuchsia pink lip colour to provide the finishing touch.

I wish more stars would have fun with fashion like this, and I’m so glad she didn’t play it safe with the accessories.

Emma Watson In Peter Pilotto – 2012 MTV Video Music Awards

Emma Watson brightened up the red carpet at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday evening wearing a bold, colourful look.

She opted for a Peter Pilotto Resort 2013 ensemble which featured a colour-block top with black trims and mesh detail throughout, which was paired with a structured A-line skirt with an embroidered front panel and solid back panel.

There was a time when Emma was sporting LBD after LBD (with feather accents) on the red carpet, so I’m glad she’s having more fun with flirty, colourful pieces.

Black Tom Ford sandals with cut-outs and lace-up details accessorized her look, with a halo braided hairstyle and bubblegum-pink lippie providing the finishing touches.

Katharine McPhee In Peter Pilotto – 9th Annual Style Awards

Katharine McPhee clashed her prints on the red carpet at this year’s 9th Annual Style Awards at New York City’s Lincoln Center last night.

The singer-turned-actress looked lovely in a Peter Pilotto dress from the designer’s Resort 2013 collection.

The print mismatch between the shift and the R&Y Augousti clutch is perfection – as are the Charlotte Olympia ‘Dolly’ platform pumps. I do, however, think that her outfit would work better in the daytime rather than for an evening soiree.

Do you agree?
