Zoë Kravitz supported the all-black dress code at the 75th Annual Golden Globes Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California, alongside Viola Davis and Lena Headey.

Opting for elegant simplicity, she was clad in a Saint Laurent velvet gown. The column silhouette had a graceful ease allowing the luxurious fabric to be the focus.

The actress coordinated her frock with green earrings, which has proven to be a popular look of the night.

Kate Hudson In Valentino Couture – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Bringing the sheer trend straight away into 2018, Kate Hudson attended the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California.

The black dress code did not keep the actress from exploring her seductive side in this Valentino Fall 2017 Couture lattice gown.

It’s not as if she needed help to drive attention to the plunge neckline, but her glamorous diamond pendant necklace certainly did the trick.

Yay or nay?

Kendall Jenner In Giambattista Valli Couture – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Kendall Jenner made an appearance at the 2018 Golden Globes on Sunday (January 7), joining Tracee Ellis Ross and Alexis Bledel.

The model made a bold statement in a Giambattista Valli Fall 2017 Couture gown. The inky black colour was offset by the dramatic train and shorter front.

I appreciate the drama of the look, but crave more fluidity in the skirt and train. I also think this would have been better on a red carpet like the Met Gala or saved for a time when Kendall was the guest of honour.

Lorraine Schwartz dangling earrings topped off the look.

Maggie Gyllenhaal In Monse – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Maggie Gyllenhaal rocked a Monse jumpsuit for the 2018 Golden Globes.

This sequined number looks like a dress at first glance, but when you take a closer look you’ll realize it splits off into pants as the sequins end below the waist.

Adding a simple yet memorable accessory, Gyllenhaal styled the jumpsuit with statement pearl earrings that delicately grazed her neck below her collarbone.

The actress didn’t change much of her signature hair and makeup and let her Monse piece be the star of the show.

Isabelle Huppert In Chloe – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Isabelle Huppert arrived at the 2018 Golden Globes wearing a bespoke Chloé dress by Natacha Ramsay-Lévi and Chopard jewelry.

This sequin Chloe gown with subtle ruffle detail on the shoulders made a statement, complimented by a bold red lip.

The actress’s auburn waves were styled effortlessly making her emerald green Chopard earrings pop and contrast well with her hair.

Of all the black gowns we’ve seen this evening, this one really stands out.

Margot Robbie In Gucci – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Margot Robbie was also one-to-watch at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California.

With her own distinct twist on the black dress code, the ‘I, Tonya’ actress and nominee donned a bold-shoulder Gucci plunge gown enhanced by a profusion of silvery embroidery.

In this case, the bold shoulders really acted as a nice counterbalance to the relative busyness of the shiny bow and floral motif.

The glamour of the look was made complete with her styling that included an elegant Roger Vivier clutch and Roger Vivier sandals along with sleek waves and a deep magenta lip.

Viola Davis In Brandon Maxwell – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Viola Davis is known for always looking perfect on the red carpet and it’s no different this year.

Kicking off award season in a velvet Brandon Maxwell gown with a Harry Winston statement necklace, Davis exuded sophistication at the 2018 Golden Globes. The sweetheart neckline accentuated her curves in the most subtle sultry way possible.

The ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ actress added more texture to her look with a satin Tyler Ellis clutch.

She stayed true to herself with natural hair and a dark brown-toned nude lip that worked perfectly with the simplicity of her red carpet look.

Can’t wait to see what else Viola wears this season.
