Natalie Portman In Gucci – ‘Vox Lux’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Natalie Portman In Gucci - ‘Vox Lux’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

When I saw this picture on Kate Young’s instagram this afternoon which simply said @gucci, I was convinced that this gold creation was for Dakota Johnson.

So I was surprised to see Natalie Portman wear this custom Gucci sequined gown to the premiere of ‘Vox Lux’ during Venice Film Festival on Tuesday (September 4).

Mostly because Natalie is a Dior devotee, and secondly because she usually sticks to black.

But that’s the beauty of film festivals, it often sells us these beautiful dreams which aren’t fulfilled the rest of the year.

Some might find something to nitpick: bold shoulders perhaps – but I’m mesmerized by this look from head-to-toe.

She is a vision. I feel like I’ve waited so long for a break out moment from Natalie. And boy did she deliver.

Chopard Jewelry completed her look.

you’re right. and her style has really improved since then imo. actually makes me excited for her next red carpet looks.

Charlize Theron too seems to be wearing less Dior to events (though looking at Dior ready to wear, who could blame her). Maybe Dior contracts are becoming less restrictive under Maria.

One of her best looks. This dress makes me think of Linda Evans in “Dynasty”. So far, one of the best looks seen in Venice.
And she looks beautiful and graceful as always.

    Wow.

This is overwhelming her. She is not wearing the dress. The dress is wearing her. Big no for me! Just doesn’t work for her.

I was really surprised to see Natalie in such a shiny and out of her comfort zone outfit. A nice change if you ask me.

this is a hideous 80s esque design that people will be looking back at in 3 years like WTF.

i am SHOCKED that anyone thinks this looks good???? natalie is beautiful but the shoulders + the black belt + the visible illusion v-neck yuck

You’re MESMERIZED by this look, not “memorized.”

I don’t love it, but it’s the most interesting look she has had in a long while.

Gaudy Gucci but it’s different for her.

I love the color on her, but the dress itself is ugly, specially this nonsense bolt-bow

I find this dress gaudy and the shoulders a bit ridiculous. The beauty look is aging. Yet despite that, I am pleased to see Natalie try something different.

It took me a while to come to the conclusion that I kinda love this too.

I kinda love this, super unexpected for sure.

Dress is ugly and she hasn’t the presence to pull it off. Period.

    +1

I can appreciate the boldness in going for something like this, but I honestly just don’t believe her in this gown.
