Who Wore Peter Pilotto Better…Gillian Jacobs or Naomi Watts?

Who Wore Peter Pilotto Better Gillian Jacobs or Naomi Watts

Gillian Jacobs wore a wispy layered and whimsical embroidered Peter Pilotto Spring 2015 dress to a dinner party hosted by Irene Neuwirth for Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos back in April.

Although we didn’t favour the necklace, we did love the rest of her styling which especially the magenta lip which provided the perfect flirty finish.

Naomi Watts wore the same dress while attending ‘The Sea of Trees’ photocall during Cannes Film Festival last month.

Despite her raspberry Jimmy Choo sandals and Anita Ko jewels keeping this look on the right path, Gillian wins for me as I prefer the belt, shoes plus the overall youthful injection she gave to this look.

I think both of them wore this dress very well. My vote goes to Naomi though. I like her simple red sandals a bit more and Gillian’s necklace was too much.

Naomi. I prefer her shoe choice

Definitely Naomi. Gillian’s look is too cluttered and heavy, plus I so appreciate Naomi’s red shoes.

Naomi wins by far, to me. She kept it simple and light.
Gillians shoes are awful with the busy-ness of this dress, and the belt just adds to the fussiness. AND is she wearing a necklace too yet with this?? Or my imagination….

The belt adds nothing for this look. Naomi looks far better.

I also like this more on Naomi, especially because of the shoes. I also prefer the simpler styling without the belt and necklace, on Naomi it just feels more effortless and summery somehow.

I agree – the dress is busy, and the black sandals compete. I also think they are way too heavy for the dress.

I’ll give this to Naomi quite easily. The dress is already so busy that I truly appreciate her simple-yet-sophisticated (the sandals) and airy (the hair) styling. She almost makes me like the dress actually.
