Anne Hathaway In Antonio Berardi – ‘Les Miserables’ Toyko Premiere

Anne Hathaway attended a press conference to promote their latest movie, ‘Les Miserables’, in Tokyo, Japan earlier today with co-stars Amanda Seyfried and Hugh Jackman.

Showcasing a different style from the pixie cut she’s been sporting for a while now, the actress wore a black Antonio Berardi Spring 2013 frock.

The dress has a lot going on with the spaghetti straps, the thicker halter straps which criss-cross at the back, the keyhole detail and the mesh panel in the skirt.

My first reaction to this is why oh why didn’t wear the Manonlo Blahnik runway light-blue sandals.

Her black peep-toes take the zing out of the look.

My second thought was that the dress would’ve had a more defined waist had she maybe gone down a size.

Nonetheless it was a great day for Mr Berardi as this was his second look to grace the red carpet by an A-list star.

I love this on her. A basic dress could always use more pow wow shoes but i think her deliberate muted yet classic look is a winner. Sheer elegance in all its simplicity.

This is a tough dress to pull off for anyone, but I do find it interesting. Not a slam dunk here for sure but I like it.

btw I think this dress will look good on Carey Mulligan.

I love the dress but it’s just not the right choice for Hathaway,She always chooses baggy dresses.

I quite like the dress, I just wish they left the mesh panel the same as the runway, Anne’s version looks to ‘heavy’… and different shoes obviosuly 😀

I agree that the dress needs to go down a size but I think she looks really nice. Still loving her short hair.

The model looks so strapping in it, but Hathaway looks like she’s been saddled with a backpack like she just came from a comic con. She’s tall, but perhaps not broad shouldered enough to work this.

Wish it had a simple bateau neckline instead of the keyhole and spaghetti straps mess. Other than that, I like the bell skirt but not the top so it’s not a great look in my book. Plus those shoes are boring.

It looks unflattering on her skinny figure. She looks nice but this dress needed to go down a size or two.

    Love the dress!!!
    Needed different shoes though!!!
I also love her with short hair!!!

I like this. Nice clean lines. Anne has the height to wear a longer hemline although i don’t call it a tea length.

It looks interesting on the runway but loses all appeal on Anne. It’s too baggy, her hair looks lame and the shoes are a snooze.

Hugh Jackman looks dashing as always though.

I also wish she had worn more fun shoes to liven it up, the peeptoes are so boring. Agree a bit of red lip would have been good, but I like the dress itself. This is an unfortunate shot of her as if she was moving or standing properly the dress would look a lot better.

I think the dress is beautiful itself and on the model but not on Anne, she can’t pull it off.

Girlfriend needs to take a break from black and wear a colour.
My expectations for this film are insanely high, but I can’t say the same fashion-wise, at least for Anne.
The fit here is terrible, and the shoes are beyond boring (and not complimentary to the dress).
The only good news is that her hair looks much better now than when she had just cut it.

I think it worked better on the runway

    Anne looks classy, as always!

This is one of Antonio’s worst designs.

This look is awful. I can’t believe Zoe had her wear this.

i really don’t like this, it looks like a sack and doesn’t flatter her at all!

The shoes could’ve been more interesting, the dress is hanging heavily off her, and she is not breathing any life into it. Perhaps a bold red lippie would’ve livened up the look a bit.
