Angelina Jolie In Joseph & Ralph Lauren – ‘In The Land of Blood and Honey’ New York Premiere

I knew I spoke to soon yesterday, as it was back to black for Angelina Jolie.

She walked the red carpet at the School of Visual Arts for the New York premiere of her directorial debut, ‘In The Land of Blood and Honey’ with Brad Pitt looking sickeningly gorgeous as usual.

The beauty of this look is its simplicity as Angelina paired an elegant in her black satin Joseph cold-shoulder blouse with a black pleated Ralph Lauren skirt.

Had it not been for that beautiful gold Ofira necklace, this would’ve been a total snooze fest.

It’s good to see that Brad has cleaned up his act somewhat. He no longer looks like he’s on his way to the nearest soup kitchen.

sickening gorgeous? Or just sick? She really looks beat to me. And she’s wearing a sack. That necklace doesn’t make up for that.

Is Jen Rade still Angelina’s stylist? can someone please fire her? i can’t take any more of this “style”, i would call it matronly, but even my grandmother has far more interesting taste! Just let Brad dress her for awhile, he seems to have pretty good taste in clothing, (its the hair washing that is an issue for him) Or better yet let Zahara and Vivien loose on her. I’m sure whatever they gome up with would be a hell of alot better!

As usual boring but I guess she wasn’t going be particularly interesting style wise when promoting being director of such a serious film.

I generally love Angelinas simple elegance… and in an evening gown I find her very graceful and ethereal.. this however is very boring. It feels too old for her and the top is very overwhelming on her frame. I do like the skirt though, I just wish she’d opted for a different blouse.

Angelina’s brother is James Haven, my bad.

The whole Jolie-Pitt clan (Angie, James Haden, Mr and Mrs Pitt as well as Brad) wore black. I’m guessing the point was to keep the attention on the actresses, because at the end of the day, Angelina shouldn’t be the main event (I mean, when do we ever see a director get so much attention?).

This reminds me of her black Vivienne Westwood dress…that look was better for her in my opinion. This is nice but nothing special–I love when she wears colors. Her green Golden Globes dress was amazing!

Angelina always looks the same these days….. The whole flowy thing. Her hair and make-up is always the same. I just need her to give me another jaw dropping red carpet moment

  9. Gaber December 6, 2011 at 18:32 #

I’d love to see her cut her hair and jump into some tight clothes.
Seriously, one good red carpet appearance per year just isn’t a good average for a star of her magnitude.

Oh, and her street style (all white) would’ve been much better than this one for the premiere! Remember the Oscars, when she wore a white tuxedo??

    • Linda December 7, 2011 at 12:24 #

Yes, she should wear white more often. I loved her street style look, it was very glamourous. This is not.

  11. Mary Gatto December 6, 2011 at 18:10 #

You know what? I usually love what she wears (LOVE black, I think it’s very chic) but this one is sooooo boringzzzzzz. And please, do something ’bout the hair, Angie! ANYTHING!

  12. Alina December 6, 2011 at 18:09 #

    This IS a snooze fest.

I don’t understand why she doesn’t wear colour.

  13. Nat39 December 6, 2011 at 17:59 #

Old, drab, matronly from the droopy all-black outfit to the flat and dull hair and makeup. Awful.

  14. marie December 6, 2011 at 17:53 #

brad is still brad..and i want that necklace so bad!

  15. Isadora December 6, 2011 at 17:36 #

She’s beautiful, but I’m tired of seeing that blouson silhouette on her.

  16. Rebecca Z December 6, 2011 at 16:57 #

Ho hum. But Brad…well he’s pretty exciting.

  17. Emi December 6, 2011 at 16:43 #

Maybe I’m the only one who doesn’t like the necklace, or at least not with an evening gown. I like the dress but the hair is a let down…

  18. Meg December 6, 2011 at 16:41 #

There’s nothing positive about this look.

  19. dee December 6, 2011 at 16:39 #

    This is boring and matronly.

    • J December 6, 2011 at 16:47 #

      Yes, very matronly.

    • Arie December 6, 2011 at 17:21 #

+1 the necklace is the only thing that saves this look and of course her stunning face

FC I literally lol’d at your soup kitchen comment 😉

      • maria December 6, 2011 at 18:36 #

i agree. she can only get away with this due to her beautiful face and hair.

love the necklace but this is been there done that.

  20. DivaMom December 6, 2011 at 16:28 #

They really try to downplay their superstardom, which makes me love them all the more.

  21. DivaDebbi (Beauty and Fashion Blog) December 6, 2011 at 16:24 #

+1 FC. All in all stunning.

  22. Jones19 December 6, 2011 at 16:17 #

Bored and bored. The necklace is this look’s saving grace.

  23. AW December 6, 2011 at 16:17 #

The necklace is nice but this is still a snooze fest. Resting on your laurels because you’re beautiful is not fashion.

This is boring, I can purchase it in any local department store and my grandmother would gladly wear it.

    • Ginger December 6, 2011 at 16:57 #

      LOL! and a definite +1!

    • lee December 6, 2011 at 17:42 #

      • manja December 7, 2011 at 09:52 #
