Who Was Your Best Dressed This Week?

I’ve added January Jones since so many of you were upset that she wasn’t added to the Emmy’s poll.

Have a great weekend and thanks again for all your kind comments for my Emmys coverage.

why can’t i choose jennifer carpenter?… she looked amazing at the emmys!

    • Fashion Critic September 5, 2010 at 10:14 #

I think I’ve answered this question many times on this post.

It’s clearly possible for a beautiful young woman in a big, expensive gown to get it wrong, as FC has shown on many occasions. And a beautiful young woman in a big gown who gets it right tends to win these polls.

In this case, for Best Dressed with a capital D it has to be Anne Heche. Not a young woman, not a big gown, but absolutely, elegantly, Dressed to perfection.

What about Maria Menounos in Ralph and Russo? She was the best for me and second on the Emmy’s poll!

    • Fashion Critic September 5, 2010 at 07:59 #

I think it makes sense to pick the winner from the Emmy poll don’t you think.

      Maria didn’t win.

  4. Bahar Karaoglan September 4, 2010 at 23:27 #

    January Jones of course!
This dress by Atelier Versace… she looks like a mermaid!
All right, the shoes could be much better but this gown is so catchy you don’t even need to take a look at her shoes!

OK I get it. No need for shouty caps.

Anna came 7th in the Emmy’s poll so what sense would it make to put her in this poll.

I don’t understand why some still don’t get this

  6. Ally September 4, 2010 at 19:22 #

I love January’s dress and it looks great on her, but she was just so lazy w/ the rest of her look. 🙁

I went with Natalie, but I also love Yasmine. I’m just a sucker for a great red gown.

yet another good week for fashion.. poor january and those terrible black pumps.. such a waste of an amazing dress.. jessica alba looked ridiculous in that dress.. like an overgrown barbie doll or something.. either way, not cute. i haaad to choose Kiko Mizuhara in Valentino Couture because shes a breath of fresh air!!

  8. P. September 4, 2010 at 17:50 #

WOW, one of the hardest poll. JJ looks pretty darn amazing in Atelier Versace, but that awful Louboutin’s really put me off this look. Violante Placido looks so regal, love it. Jess and Natalie were very happy on her dresses choices, both look drop dead gorgeous. Yet, who really deserves the prize this week is Dianna Agron. Gosh, she was the vision of perfection wearing that sumptuous Carolina Herrera ballgown. Another thing, she is a newcomer, then this should be taken into account as well.
It’s still early, but I’m thinking I found my BDOTY.
Yeah, I loved it that much

  9. Ben September 4, 2010 at 16:23 #

It was a tought choice between Natalie Portman and Dianna Agron-but in the end I went for Natalie. I almost fainted when I saw that dress.

  10. Ayesha September 4, 2010 at 15:28 #

Kiko Mizuhara for me……without a doubt!!
At first sight i didn’t like it at ALL….but her on a later on a closer look……….. she’s STUNNING!!!

    • Ayesha September 4, 2010 at 15:29 #

oops……i mean ‘loved’ her on a closer look, missed a word.

  11. Lilla September 4, 2010 at 14:24 #

I voted for Kiko’s Valentino – though i love both her looks. plus she actually bothered to dress from head to toe – her hair’s perfect, & so are her shoes

  12. Amy September 4, 2010 at 11:47 #

I loved JJ’s Versace dress – absolutely gorgeous. It worked with her skin tone, hair style, makeup & attitude. Everything else was muted so the uniqueness of the dress shone through.
I didn’t love the shoes but they didn’t detract from the dress for me.

GREAT coverage FC – love your work!

  13. Jo September 4, 2010 at 09:35 #

Eva Mendez in that to die for lilac Dior ensemble!

  14. Alina September 4, 2010 at 07:45 #

Jessica Lowndes deserved to be in this poll more than Jessica Alba and January Jones.

I voted for Natalie , but Violante and Kiko in Valentino Couture deserve it too.

  15. Kiwi September 4, 2010 at 07:38 #

Kiko-either of her looks.. both are so divine

  16. Z FASHION BLOG September 4, 2010 at 05:32 #

I loooved January Jones in Atelier Versace!

  17. Vidhya September 4, 2010 at 04:13 #

does this mean we r nt going to have a who was your best dressed in venice fim festival???? that wud have been a killer.. 😀

I love that versace gown.. its a dream come true to see it on the redcarpet.. so ignoring the shoes and giving it to her for the plain attitude she is oozing in the dress

  18. Ashley September 4, 2010 at 04:08 #

    Jessica Alba looked absolutely radiant!

  19. Rebecca September 4, 2010 at 02:51 #

    What happened to Eva Mendes?

  20. Elaine September 4, 2010 at 01:28 #

was hoping to see Jessica Lowdnes in Luisa Beccaria in the poll – apart from that Violante Placido wins it for me 🙂

  21. Rosie September 4, 2010 at 00:59 #

FC, thanks so much for your emmy coverage. It is fantastic – by far the best out of all the blogs, tv, newspapers, etc.

Also, I’m loving the Venice Film Festival posts as well!

    Keep it up xxx

    • Fashion Critic September 4, 2010 at 06:25 #

      thanks Rosie xxx

  22. Catherine September 4, 2010 at 00:27 #

Not Jessica’s Dolce & Gabana? She wins it for me!

    • Fashion Critic September 4, 2010 at 06:26 #

90% of the comments said they hated it, so no Jessica in D&G

  23. mol September 3, 2010 at 22:19 #

There is something I like about each look this week, but the three vying the most for my eyes are Natalie and both of Kizo’s looks…….particularly Kizo in Mui Mui (not ready to commit yet though!)

    • mol September 3, 2010 at 22:20 #

      sorry, Miu Miu!

  24. justme September 3, 2010 at 21:47 #

I voted for Violante. She looked flawless.

  25. Jones19 September 3, 2010 at 21:23 #

    Natalie Portman killed it!

    • shubby doo September 4, 2010 at 17:16 #

co-sign. my 2nd favourite was dianna

  26. ber September 3, 2010 at 21:22 #

It was a toss up between Yasmine and Natalie, but Yasmine’s added drama won out.

    • mm September 3, 2010 at 22:55 #

I voted for Yasmine. I did wish Claire was on the scene.

  27. Ev September 3, 2010 at 21:22 #

I think all of these look deserve to be named BDOTW, except for January Jones (it is such a shame – ruining an OUTSTANDING dress with bad shoes) and Jessica Alba (why wear something that makes you look square?). However, I voted for Natalie Portman – her red dress made me forget to breathe for a few seconds.

  28. Hisadora September 3, 2010 at 19:59 #

Yes, I loved January Jones in her Atelier Versace fabulous dress. If it wasn’t for the shoes I’d give this to her. But Dianna Agron in Carolina Herrera looks so fantastic that she got my vote!!!

  29. a September 3, 2010 at 19:40 #

my vote goes to Kiko Mizuhara in Valentino Couture. she looks elegant in that dress. plus she bothered to wear an amazing pair of shoes that complimented the look. my least fav is january jones. i feel let down by the hair and the black pumps. natalie portman on the other hand, looks amazing but i feel like ive seen the look on her before.

  30. Dorian Gray September 3, 2010 at 18:32 #

Thanks for adding JJ! I loved her 🙂
