Angelina Jolie to wear Alexis Mabille Fall 2009 Couture
I’m always wishing for bold colour on Angelina Jolie, but Jennifer has found the perfect darker dress to suit Angelina.
Jennifer said, “Though this is far reaching because of the bows, I was perusing the Fall 2009 shows, and when I saw this piece.”
“I fell in love and thought that Angelina should wear it. It’s from the Alexis Mabille Fall 2009 Couture show, and I have to admit I liked several of his pieces. The dress is sleek, it has a mile high slit on both sides (playing to Angie’s legs), and while not black, is in a darker color (which she so often favors). I think it would be daring and different, and I love the navy blue.”
I love the the fact that the darker colour will appeal to Angelina, whilst there’s plenty of drama in the detail to keep me happy.

Rachel Weisz to wear Miu Miu Fall 2009
Rachel Weisz also goes for interesting edgy pieces you wouldn’t expect her to wear, but she always pulls them off.
Robinson says, “I LOVE Rachel Weisz, she’s one of my favourite actresses and I found her the most beautiful. She always looks sexy yet elegant and sophisticated, and with personality. When I first saw this animal print Miu Miu dress I instantly though of her! I think she’ll look so exotic, with her oriental eyes and her perfect figure!”
“The bejeweled dress from the Miu Miu collection I adore. I think Rachel would wear it well, too. Actually I think she’d look divine”.
I wouldn’t have thought of picking the printed dress, but seeing it alongside Rachel I think her she would look so elegant wearing it.

Cate Blanchett to wear Armani Prive, Christian Lacroix and Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2009 Couture
After seeing Cate Blanchett in the front row for Armani Prive’s Fall 2009 show it showed Martin that Cate Blanchett is truly the undisputed queen of couture.
Martin says, “I’d love to see Cate in this stunning Armani Prive pantsuit, which has a refinement and elegance that is perfectly in tune with her aesthetic. She pulled off pantsuits with aplomb in her role as Katharine Hepburn in The Aviator and this one particularly appeals to me because it is both powerful and feminine – two qualities that Cate faultlessly projects whenever she appears on the red carpet.”
This look takes me back to when Cate wore a pantsuit to receive her Hollywood Star, and I feel it would be the perfect choice for her. It maybe grey but it certainly is not boring.
Martin continued, “Christian Lacroix presented what may be his final couture collection during haute couture fashion week and I think that this gorgeous beaded dress with black silk and lace ruffled jacket would be perfect for Cate. It has a real sense of that subtle and understated drama she manages to convey so effortlessly.”
I see this on both Dita and Cate only. All others stars should steer clear. Character, grace, style and poise is needed to pull this off.
With regard to this outstanding Jean Paul Gaultier gown Martin said, “My final pick for Cate is this amazing Jean Paul Gaultier silk floor-length gown with external gilt-edged corseting and exaggerated shoulders. One of the things that I most admire about Cate is how she is able to push the fashion boundaries in futuristic designs from Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga without ever looking ridiculous or contrived. The dress is undoubtedly edgy, but if anyone can pull off this futurist goddess warrior look, it is Cate Blanchett.”
This would be an absolute dream. The colouring against her pale skin, the hard corset contrasted with the soft chiffon gown…..I have goosebumps.

Dita von Teese to wear Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2009 Couture
Antonio wishes to see Dita von Teese bring some drama to the red carpet.
Antonio says, “Looove this dress, the drama of it. It’s sooooo Dita. Loove it, just with her, the outfit is complete.”
Although I prefer Dita in more colourful looks, I totally get why Antonio pick this for Dita. If she ever does wear it, I hope she also wears those stunning cuffs.

Sharon Stone to NOT wear Christian Dior Resort 2010
I normally post on what you wish to see our favourite celebs wearing on the red carpet, but Kiran has another idea.
When Kiran saw the Christian Dior Resort 2010 collection, Kiran had a different type of wish.
Kiran said, “”Leopard print is not for the faint hearted and is a difficult trend to work. The print could perhaps be considered a case of the good think Maggie Gyllenhaal is that gorgeous Lanvin, the bad perhaps Vanessa Williams in that headache inducing Versace and the downright ugly Sharon Stone in Christian Dior Spring 2008 Pajamas. One person who has always taken the print into tacky and vulgar territory when worn is Sharon Stone. She just never seems to get it right so, as a result, I hope that Sharon Stone HAS NOT seen the Dior resort 2010 collection. While she has managed to stay ‘tame’ and away from animal prints, like any leopard-print loving predator, I’m sure she has sniffed out her prey (the entire collection) and is ready to devour it all. A Dior ‘Cannage’ (the bag) is one thing but this would just be Dior carnage. She really takes the idea of being a ‘cougar’ to a whole new level!
So Sharon, if the temptation is too much and you feel the need to release you inner beast on the Hollywood red carpet jungle by all means carry the Louis Vuitton Leopard Nocturne African Queen clutch, drape a chic Stephen Sprouse Leopard print scarf around your neck or even don a pair of Louboutin’s in the said print but DO NOT, and I repeat do not wear a piece from this collection because if you do, don’t complain when the fashion police come to hunt you down!”
As someone who has applauded Sharon’s recent switch from leopard prints to solid colours, I wish alongside you that she never considers this collection.
Unfortunately I believe the allure of this collection will be too great.

Sophia Bush to wear Malandrino Fall 2009
This is what I would like to see more of on the red carpet. A burst of bright fuchsia pink.
Zahib is a huge fan of Sophia Bush, but has been feeling a bit let down lately.
Zahib said, “Sophia has always been consistent but lately she has been slipping. She has worn Trib Two heels as if they are the only shoes on the planet!!”
“Sophia has worn many beautiful dresses from Malandrino and I think this dress would be a great colour for her, and would be perfect for the summer.”
I agree it would be a great summer dress, but I would love to see Sophia wear this dress in the Fall when everyone else is picking boring black, she would stand out it the way we all know she can.

Michelle Williams to wear 3.1 Phillip Lim Resort 2010
When I received Kellyn’s wish I didn’t need to ask which Michelle Williams she was referring to, because it was quite clear from Kellyn’s picks that they were for Michelle Williams the actress, and not the singer from Destiny’s Child.
Kellyn said, “I would LOVE to see Michelle Williams in 3.1 Phillip Lim Resort 2010! She always manages to look effortlessly chic, and I think this collection would be perfect for her against her skin, the detail on the bodice would just make her look even more stunning, plus the hem of the dress would be nice to add a slight princess touch.”
What I love about these looks are the organic simplicity each look possesses.
Michelle doesn’t need bling or loud colours to stand out, that’s not her style, but these looks are.
I love the last look because I see Michelle wearing it off the red carpet, but also on it to an event like the Independent Spirit Awards and still making it onto the Best Dressed List.
