Freida Pinto to wear Blumarine Spring 2009

Freida Pinto has been busy working on a new project with Woody Allen.

Lauren is already looking ahead to the promo tour of that movie, as she’s picked out the perfect shimmering frock for the Indian actress to wear on the red carpet.

Lauren says, “We haven’t seen much of Freida since awards season but the next time she makes an appearance on the red carpet I would love for her to wear this stunning Blumarine dress”.

“It was one of my favourite pieces from that collection and the colors would really work for her. Hopefully she will wear it somewhat similar to how it was presented on the runway.”

The dress has everything: glamour, sparkle and sex appeal without being trashy. It a real head-turner and it will only enhance Freida’s beauty.

Megan Fox to wear Alexis Mabille Fall 2009 Couture & Armani Privé Fall 2009

Megan Fox had an interesting run during her “Transformers” promo tour.

It was mostly good with a few down times, but since then her style has taken a serious nose-dive.

Lucas has noticed this and picked two magnificent pieces for the young actress.

Lucas says, “I would die if Megan fox wore the LBD from the Fall 2009 couture Alexis Mabille collection”.

“Megan loves Armani so I think she would also look great in the blue sequined, low cut, tiger printed Fall 09 couture gown”.

I love the Armani pick. I can see it on Megan, even though I had originally reserved this in my mind for Ellen Pompeo post-pregnancy.

The dress is very elegant, that even someone like Megan would feel regal in such a magnificent gown.

Angelina Jolie to wear L’Wren Scott Fall 2009

We were frustrated by Angelina Jolie’s lack of colour for such a long time, and now she just teases us every now and again with hints of colour.

Recently she returned to her leather Gothic phase, but Teleholic has 3 wishes I hope come true and shake up Angelina’s style.

Teleholic said, “I think this L’Wren Scott 2009 dress would be perfect for Angelina’s style, mainly because it’s dark, which she loves, but without a hint of black, which we’re tiring of. Baby steps, Angelina. The green gives her an earthy look, and we already know she glows in green”.

“This Elie Saab Fall 2009 electric blue dress would be bold for Angelina: mainly because of the color and the style. Even so, I think this color would make her eyes pop, and with the right hair, makeup, and shoes, this would look stunning on her. She definitely needs to lose the tights though.”

“This Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2009 Couture dress amazed me the instant I saw it. It’s been on my Angelina wishlist for a while now so I laughed when Dita von Teese wore it the other day. Anyway, this dress does have the black but I think she would be forgiven for that because it’s such an interesting dress. It’s WAY out of her comfort zone. I think that this would be the definition of a risk for Angelina, but I have the confidence that with the right hair, makeup, shoes, and attitude, she would pull this look off perfectly. She might modify the lower part of the dress to get rid of the sheer, but that’s to be expected, this being Angelina and all. Only Dita would be able to pull off this look unmodified.”

I love the two first picks as they are not black, yet they wouldn’t totally out of her comfort zone because of the classic cuts.

The JPG Couture gown would take her out of her comfort zone, and this is what make this pick so interesting.

I would never have picked it, but now Teleholic has I’m very intrigued.

Katy Perry to wear Andrew GN Spring 2009

Katy Perry has a very unpredictable style. At one event she can be wearing a flowing gown, and the next a vintage flapper dress. That’s what makes her so unique and interesting to watch on the red carpet.

Antonio picked a colourful Andrew GN Spring 2009 dress for the singer. He said, “Loove the colors, the beading, everything, something different is still being Katy. With her new do (the bob) and a bright clutch, and Jimmy Choo’s, she’s ready!”

Great choice. I especially love the colourful beaded details.

Zooey Deschanel to wear Erin Featherston Fall 2009 & Erdem Fall 2009

I can imagine Zooey Deschanel has a lot of fun when she creates her looks, as they have a retro feel with charming details like bows or flowers.

While most young actresses are showing off their cleavage and legs, Zooey is covered up in a cute dress and tights.

Sally said, “I’ve always loved Zooey and love the fact that she has her own style and sense of self. She is never one to jump on a trend or an ‘it’ label and sticks to her own look. I was hoping for more appearances from her with latest movie just being released but haven’t seen much of her lately.”

“I know Fashion Critic is going to kill me but I would love these looks with black tights. Zooey often wears them on the red carpet and I love that it gives all her looks more depth and a harder edge in contrast to her soft, vintage look.”

“I love the Erin Featherston black dress. The fullness of the skirt and lace bib detail would be perfect for her.”

“The printed Erdem dress is a silhouette she wears quite often. The blue would look amazing against her pale skin and blue eyes. This label doesn’t get enough exposure on the red carpet.”

Despite not being a lover of tights, I totally get why Sally would want Zooey to wear tights with these look, plus tights are very much Zooey’s signature and they complement both looks on the runway.

Like Sally said I wish we saw more of Zooey on the red carpet, because if we did I’m sure she would have worn both these looks by now because they were made for her.

Diane Kruger to wear Roksanda Ilincic Resort 2010

Roksanda Ilincic is not a mainstream designer that every one would have heard of, but the Serbian-born and London-based designer makes some fantastic pieces.

Kellyn said, “I would love to see Diane in all of these pieces, they’re very feminine and also fashion-forward!.”

“I think the dark dress would be perfect because it’s simple and chic, but also unique! I love the details in it and Diane would totally own it!”

“I picked the dress in the middle because of it’s colour, it’s just so pretty and it would look lovely on Diane. Again, it’s simple, which would allow her to wear it well rather than the other way around.”

“The last dress is just so cool that I had to include it! I adore the grey and yellow, and the skirt detail is really pretty too! If Diane couldn’t pull it off, I don’t know who could.”

I love that none of these looks are predictable Diane. They’re not Chanel nor Valentino.

They would all work perfectly for Diane like Kellyn says, because even those they appear to have a Gothic vibe about them, Diane would bring out the romance in each piece.

Dita von Teese to wear Marchesa Spring 2009

Dita von Teese wears a lot of black, so I’m glad neither Lena’s wishes are black gowns.

Lena said, “I don’t think anyone has worn these stunning gown on the red carpet before, maybe because no one has the guts. Dita has the personality, grace and poise to pull them off.”

“The pink one will look very beautiful against her pale skin.”

You are so right Lena. No one has the guts, as they would be scared to get lost in these voluminous gowns.

I also agree that the pink gown would be perfect against her pale skin.
