Leighton Meester to wear Basso & Brooke Resort 2010, Moschino Resort 2010, Antonio Berardi 2010 & Emanuel Ungaro Resort 2010

Leighton Meester has become quite a red carpet diva with her edgy looks that are so far away from her Gossip Girl character Blair Waldorf.

So of you like this edgy direction, some of you hate it. From Swati’s picks I can tell she like Leighton’s new look.

Swati said, “Leighton Meester is one feisty lady. In a total contrast from her upper-east side character, she prefers to edge it up on the red carpet. Some of her looks have been downright hideous, yet I applaud her for always trying something new and unusual”.

“I would love to see her in the following pieces which are a perfect blend of edgy and femininity, just like Leighton”.

I love each look especially the Basso & Brooke and the Ungaro looks, because the avant-garde dresses are softly sculptured to flatter the female form.

Ashlee Simpson to wear Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 & Diane von Furstenberg pre-Fall 2009

Ashlee Simpson has always gives us a rock chick look which sometime comes off and try-hard, sometimes groupie, but sometimes it does work.

Linda appears to not buy into this style as she has picked softer looks for the actress/singer.

Linda said “I know most people loved her nude Jill Stuart playsuit look at the InStyle Summer party, but I feel like I’ve seen that look on her a few times now. Also, I wish she would dress with a little more coverage, colour and for lack of a better word, maturity”.

“The Marc by Marc Jacobs would be fantastic for her complexion and hair and I love the ladylike details. The Diane von Furstenberg dress, I just love the print and think Ashlee would rock it”.

What I love about both these looks is that they are both green. We have seen in the past that green works really well on red heads - think Amy Adams and Isla Fisher.

Charlize Theron to wear Armani Privé Fall 2009 & Lanvin Spring 2009

When it comes to Charlize Theron we expect 2 things:
- Perfection
- Dior

Rebecca only opted for one of the two, as she didn’t pick any Dior pieces for her wishes, but refreshingly Armani Privé and Lanvin.

Rebecca said, “The first thing I noticed about the stunning Armani Privé gown was the colour, it just jumped out at me. It’s hard to go wrong with couture but the pattern of this dress gives it an edge”.

“The Lanvin dress would be perfect for Charlize. Again the vivid color caught my eye, as well as the material and cut. This was one of my favourites from that particular collection”.

Lucas also picked the Armani Privé gown for Megan Fox, but I think both ladies could pull it off.

We see Charlize in a lot of one-shouldered dresses, so the Lanvin is a good pick but I would die if she - or anyone - ever wore the Privé. It really is an exquisite gown. One of my favourites from that collection.

Emma Roberts to wear Balmain Spring 2009, Versace Spring 2009 & Louis Vuitton Resort 2010

Emma Roberts is becoming quite the fashionista.

She has worn Versace Couture, Dior and many other big names.

Emma loves short sassy frocks and Antonio would love to see more of the same.

He said, “I’m a huge fan of Balmain, i looove everything that is edgy, also sweet girly dresses”.

“The Balmain Spring 2009 pink dress is gorgeous, with the embellished mesh detail and the one shoulder. It’s gorgeous, its sexy, edgy, but quite fun”

“I picked Emma because shes got that charm to pull off this risky dress for a star of her age. She’s been picking a few edgy choices that look good on her.”

“The Versace Spring 2009 pink embellished dress is fun, age appropriate and fashion-forward. I looove it, I’m in love with this dress, Emma would wear soo gracefully!”

The Louis Vuitton Resort 2010 LND (little navy dress) this dress is fun and relaxed. I love the cut-outs of the skirt, and the bow detail on the shoulder strap, plus the pleated skirt and part of the bodice, its gorgeous.”

“This dress is wore look great paired with Louboutin Mary Janes and a Mary Norton clutch, ready for red carpet.

Britney Spears to wear Armani Privé Spring 2009, Christian Lacroix Couture Fall 2009 & Valentino Spring 2009 Couture

When I received Iris’ wish I had to double check that her wish was for Britney Spears.

We usually associate Britney with tired looking extension, very short denim shorts and unflattering mini dresses.

At the Teen Choice Awards it may as well have been 2000, for all the progress she had made style-wise.

Iris would like to see a HUGE change.

Iris said, “I’ve always really liked Britney, and have always rooted for her, hoping she would get back to her best”.

“What I never loved though was her fashion sense. I just got so tired of always seeing the same unflattering dresses on her. So here are 3 dresses that I think can make her shine like the superstar she is - you will not be surprised that none of them are short, as I think her legs are really not her best feature even though she insists on showing them of.”

“This Armani Privé Spring 2009 dress I think would make her sparkle, in a sophisticated way.”

“The Christian Lacroix Fall 2009 Couture dress I picked for her is black, and although I love her in bright colours, I think this would have been a better black option for her than the one she wore to the Teen Choice Awards recently.

“I would LOVE to see Brit Brit in this green Valentino Spring 2009 Couture 2009 dress. The colour would look great on her, and it shows a bit of leg which she loves so much, without being tacky.”

I love all of Iris’ choices and I think they would look great on Britney, but does she have the poise to pull them off?

I’m not so sure.  She always looks so uncomfortable on the red carpet.

Selena Gomez to wear Erin Fetherston Fall 2007

It’s not usual for celebs to look back to past seasons for their red carpet looks and that is what Kellyn’s has done for her wishes for Selena Gomez.

Kellyn said, “I’ve always adored Erin Fetherston and I wish that her pieces were worn more often on the red carpet! This is quite an old collection, but every time I think of Erin I think of this collection and it brings a smile to my face! I love the whimsy and fairy-tale qualities that the clothes possess!”

“I think that Selena totally has the charm and grace to pull these looks off without looking silly. She always looks beautiful but still manages to dress age-appropriately. The dresses are so delicate and Selena would look like an angel!”

What I love about these looks is that they have come at a time when Selena is dressing too old for her age. These PYTs would be the perfect looks to put a smile on both mine and Kellyn’s face.

I really can’t pick a favourite.

Charlize Theron to wear Roksanda Ilincic Fall 2009 & Christian Dior Fall 2009 Couture

Charlize Theron has worn a lot of black for her last few red carpet appearances, so I was happy to see Marvel pick two dress vibrant in colour.

Marvel said, “Like you FC I have many girl crushes and one of them is Charlize Theron. I still say ‘WOW’ at the purple ruffle Dior dress. I was browsing on Net-A-Porter, when I came across this stunning Roksanda Ilincic ssymmetric ruffle dress.”

“The ruffles wouldn’t dominate her as she has the grace and posture to pull it off. If she pulled her hair back and wore silver strappies, I can die a happy girl. She isn’t afraid of colour and the dress has some black lace (which she has rocked before).”

“My second is Christian Dior as Charlize wouldn’t be Charlize without Dior. Although she didn’t attend the show, this dazzling hot pink Dior dress would be great on her. From the twisted material to the stunning detail this would be a head turner. Again hair pulled back and silver accessories would perfect this look”.

“I know it may be too much pink for her but she WILL NOT look like a Barbie doll”.

I love that Marvel was specific about Charlize pulling her hair back in both these dresses, because both have so much detail around the neckline it would be a shame not to show it off.
