At the 2008 American Music Awards Rihanna was sporting some serious hardware.

In the press room after collecting her 2 awards, Rihanna wore a custom made leather Phillipe and David Blond Fall 2008 corset which was covered in studs, spikes and dripping with metal chains.

For her performance she took it up a notch by wearing a neck ornament which was also made of leather with studs and chains.

She completed her look with Alexander McQueen gold tipped boots, and leather pants.

The great thing about discovering these designers, is that I was then able to identify two more Katy Perry’s dresses from her MTV Europe Music Awards wardrobe.

Katy Perry has scored a dream gig hosting the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards last night. But prior to the show Katy attended the official press conference at St George’s Hall in Liverpool.

The singer wore a colourful floral print Basso & Brooke Spring 2009 mini dress, with an Asian inspired belt, which she wore with lilac suede heels.

Katy had a very busy night with 11 changes in total if you count the red carpet dress, and the big apple costume which she wore to introduce the Ting Tins.

My favourite was the pink playsuit, which spelled Katy down one side. This one was most true to her personal style.

Katy also wore this amazing pink Elie Saab Spring 2009 dress, with a sparkly bodice and ruffled hem, when she introduced Sir Paul McCartney. This was one of my favourite dresses from the Spring 2009 collections, and she looks adorable in it.
