Runway To New Years Eve Party – Chloe Sevigny In Louis Vuitton

Chloe Sevigny co-hosted at New Years Eve Party last night with rapper T.I. at the Gansevoort South Hotel in Miami. Also in attendance was actor James Franco, Keenan Thompson and Jaslene Gonzalez.

Chloe was looking cute wearing a Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 ensemble consisting of a sheer berry blouse with a gold trim on the high neckline. Her orange mini skirt was embellished with a silver and berry sequins to compliment the blouse.

Not many could pull of this look.

Chloe’s accessories of animal print bangles, clutch and strappy sandals all also came from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 collection.

I must own a pair of these heels. I just love ’em.

When Stars Wear The Same Thing Twice – Fergie In Gucci

It looks like the Credit Crunch is affecting us all.

Fergie performed at the Palazzo in Las Vegas last night wearing the same black, gold and magenta printed Gucci Fall 2008 dress, which she wore when she performed at the Fashion Rocks event back in September.

She even wore the same black leather Gucci Devendra Mid-Heel Boots.

The only differences are that her hair is straighter the second time around, and she wore the dress with a black sash the first time around.

Victoria Beckham’s Obsession – Victoria Beckham Collection

When Victoria Beckham’s 10 piece collection was unveiled, a lot of people were impressed at how good it was. Heidiwood and Lauren Conrad Collection it was not.

Her collection was sold out within hours when it hit the shop floor at Selfridges in London, and didn’t even make the shop floor at Selfridges Manchester as the collection sold out at a preview the night before. Bergdorf Goodman has sold out of nearly half the stock in just a week, so she is doing very well.

Victoria has been seen wearing her collection many times, just to show off how good she looks in it, because lets face it no one is going to wear this collection better than Mrs B herself.

The thing is, that is all she seems to be wearing of late. There are 10 pieces – with some coming in 2 colours – within her collection and she has worn 6 of them.

Hopefully she will return to the more colourful side of her wardrobe soon.

Red Carpet Trend Of 2008 – Jumpsuits

The Spring 2008 runways were full of jumpsuit, as were the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 runways. So it would be safe to say that the jumpsuits trend will not be going away anytime soon.

My favourite jumpsuits this year were worn by Malin Akerman, Joy Bryant, Angie Harmon and Amy Adams.

Spring 2009 jumpsuit are so wide-legged, you would be forgiven for thinking that they were dresses, like the Missoni one’s both Joy Bryant and Kerry Washington wore.

Designer Of 2008 – Alber Elbaz for Lanvin

Ladies Loved Lanvin on the red carpet this year. Celebrities could not get enough of Alber Elbaz designs.

Natalie Portman, who wore his signature tiered ruffle cocktail dresses many times on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival which kicked started the trend of wearing Lanvin on the red carpet this summer.

Padma Lakshmi and Natalie both wore 3 stunning Spring 2008 design’s, with Carine Roitfeld wore my favourite billowing dress, with a large patent belt to nip in her waist.

Lanvin fever did not die down when the Fall 2008 collections hit the runway. Quite the opposite. Even more stars walked the red carpet in the dark, mysterious designs.

Elbaz even managed to make what appears to be a bin liner -as worn by Brandy- look good.

Herve Leger was last years winner, before we had Herve Leger overload.

Shoe Of The Year 2008 – YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps

You could not swing a Fendi handbag on the red carpet without bumping into a celebrity wearing a pair of YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps in 2008.

Coco Rocha was the first to be seen wearing these gorgeous platform shoes back in July, and they soon became the red carpet staple.

Although these heels are very high at 5½”, they are surprisingly very comfortable to wear in comparison to Louboutin’s.

The shoes came in black leather and black patent leather, and the soles varied from blue, black and yellow.

Victoria Beckham was surprisingly one of the last to hop onto this trend.
