Adjoa Osei Pre-Fall 2011

This week I met a very talented designer Adjoa Osei who showcased her capsule collection, Adapt.

The effortlessly chic array of hand finished jersey vests, loose fitting tops and bright maxi skirts are all emboldened with a signature woven West African print detail.

The key focus of the both the collection and the brand is to enhance everyday pieces with African print, creating an ‘experimentally classic’ look for women who appreciate well placed accents of colour and details without compromising on their simple, clean lined staples.

Adjoa Osei is not about seasonality, trend or shock factor but about intertwining signature print detail into the fabric of every day silhouettes making it accessible to everyone.

The designer creates timeless, wearable pieces so you won’t find any clichéd tributes to ‘tribal’ inspired clothing here.

This collection was launched in July and is available now.

Check out for more details.

Who Wore Lanvin Better? Gemma Arterton or Sandra Bullock

Gemma Arterton chose this strapless black Lanvin jumpsuit to wear to the “Tamara Drewe” 2010 Toronto Film Festival Premiere back in September 2010.

The British actress went for a minimalist look, wearing barely any makeup and accessorizing with simple black pumps and a feathered clutch.

A simple ponytail completed her look.

Sandra Bullock wore the same jumpsuit to attend the premiere of “The Change-Up” last month.

The actress looked incredibly chic, pairing the jumpsuit with black strappy heels, intricate gold bracelets and hooped earrings.

She wore her hair down in sleek, loose waves and finished her look with soft pink lipstick.

The fit of the jumpsuit is off on Gemma, especially around the legs and she definitely needs more exciting accessories to brighten up her look, so my vote is going to Sandra.

If you can’t make up your mind, click on the image above to see more pictures of these ladies in their Lanvin jumpsuit.

Emily Montague In Alice + Olivia – “Fright Night” LA Premiere

Emily Montague attended the LA Premiere of her new movie, “Fright Night” at the Arclight Hollywood yesterday.

The young actress who has been dubbed the newest ‘rising star’ appears in the remake of this movie alongside Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, David Tennant and Dave Franco.

You may recognize Emily from her guest appearances on ‘Days of Our Lives’, ‘Melrose Place’ and most recently ‘Rules of Engagement.’

Emily dazzled on the red carpet wearing an Alice + Olivia ‘Fleur’ dress.

Her striped racer back dress has sequinned and beaded stripe accents plus a scoop neckline.

This perfect summer’s evening dress was paired with Aldo ‘Bremseth’ pumps and a pewter Judith Leiber clutch.

A simple ponytail perfected her look.

Kerry Washington In Zuhair Murad & Nina Garcia In Aquilano.Rimondi – Project Runway Season 9 Episode 4

Kerry Washington and Joanna Coles were the guest judges on Episode 4 of Project Runway.

Kerry wore a pink Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 dress with a bow neck-tie and black lace detailing with Christian Louboutin peep-toes.

Marie Claire’s Joanna Coles was typically sophisticated wearing a sleeveless red sheath dress with matching sandals.

Nina continues to be the one-to-watch when it comes to her fashion choices on the show, because she wore a Aquilano.Rimondi Fall 2011 embellished gold top with black tapered pants.

Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi’s aren’t worn enough on the red carpet. The Italian designers are very talented so I wish they would get more celebrity recognition for their work.

Heidi Klum was surprisingly mute on this occasion as she opted for a black embellished sweater, leather skirt and Jimmy Choo ankle boots.

‘Glee’ For Vogue US September 2011

The cast of ‘Glee’ sported a black, white, red and silver theme for their American Vogue September 2011 editorial which was shot by Norman Jean Roy.

Lea Michele was of course front and center in the picture wearing B Brian Atwood Liese metallic peep toe ankle boots with a silver Balmain Fall 2011 dress which we’ve seen on Leighton Meester during the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.

Heather Morris wore a star print Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 fur trimmed coat with Nina Ricci Fall 2011 heels.

Jenna Ushkowitz wore a red cowl-neck Ohne Titel Fall 2011 dress and Dianna Agron wore a Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 ensemble which included a paillette covered skirt.

Amber Riley and Naya Rivera are most noticeably absent.

I don’t see why they were not photoshopped into the picture like Chord Overstreet, Ashley Fink, Cory Monteith and Mark Salling clearly were.

Vogue has chosen the Gleeks to be spokespeople for this year’s Fashion’s Night Out.
