2010 Costume Institute Gala – Christina Hendricks In L’Wren Scott

Christina Hendricks is a beautiful woman, but she didn’t quite shine so brightly on the red carpet at last nights Costume Institute Gala.

Her L’Wren Scott Fall 2010 blue chiffon flowing dress is beautiful, but her hair and make-up ruin this look for me.

The make-up has a dark gothic feel to it, whilst the hair looks really frizzy.

I also find myself distracted by the feathered creature on her shoulder, who seems to have grown bigger on the red carpet.

I love a woman who proudly shows off her assets, but I think it maybe time to put the twins away and come up with something new for the red carpet.

Seeing breasts before dress is getting tiresome.

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala – Kristin Davis In Archival Rochas For Decades

Kristin Davis looked stunning as she arrived at the Costume Institute Gala last night.

My first thought was, “no, not a black gown”, but I just love the details on her black satin archival Rocha for Decades corset gown.

The embroidery makes this look so interesting and gives it a sexy boudoir feel, plus her gold Fred Leighton jewels are exquisite.

A black and gold lust-worthy Judith Leiber clutch perfectly completes her look.

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala – Mila Kunis In Vera Wang

Mila Kunis is becoming a quite the brand ambassador for Vera Wang.

The beautiful actress looked stunning wearing a black and grey tumbled tulle Vera Wang ballgown.

The appliquéd sequin bodice and the drama of the gown is making me ache it’s so beautiful.

I love this look despite this feeling like a Marchesa type of gown.

Her earrings were the perfect finishing touch.

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala – Vera Famiga, M.I.A. & Jessica Alba In Gap Gowns

Here is a look at the other Gap Gowns from the Met Costume Institute Gala last night.

Vera Famiga wore a Sophie Theallet baby blue off -the-shoulder dress with black ribbon trim.

I know a lot of you hated this dress, but I don’t think would’ve been too bad if the dress didn’t have those pom pom sleeves.

I love the colour on her.

Alexander Wang designed M.I.A.’s gown.

I think he totally understood the needs of his client by infusing drama into this ethnic sparkling gold embroidered dress over a strapless leather dress.

Too bad she wasn’t graceful enough to pull it off.

Who holds their clutch under their armpit?

Jessica Alba was simply outstanding in her Sophie Theallet rose silk bias gown with train.

I just love the black lining which peeks out from the neckline and train.

She was the Gap girl of the night, oozing style, grace and giving us old Hollywood sophistication.

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala – Jessica Biel In Ralph Lauren

Both Jessica Biel and her beau Justin Timberlake walked the red carpet at the Costume Institute Gala last night.

Last year Jessica over did the St. Tropez, but this year she looks stunning.

Yes she does look a bit plain and at first I was dying for a colour pop, but on reflection adding colour to this look via a clutch or jewelery would have killed the look.

I adore her Ralph Lauren Collection ivory gown as it just whispers around her body and is so very flattering.

Petal covers would’ve prevented her from looking like she was smuggling raisins under her gown, but in the close up she is so beautiful I can overlook it.

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala – Mary J Blige In J.Mendel

Mary J. Blige looked amazing on the red carpet at the Costume Institute Gala last night.

She wore a sunset amber J.Mendel Spring 2010 strapless gown.

The colour is stunning on her, and I love those cascading layers and that ruffled detail on the bodice.

I love everything about the look apart from her hairstyle.

I’m just not diggin the bowl cut.
