Runway To “The Stylist Project” Exhibition – Ginnifer Goodwin In Christian Dior

Ginnifer Goodwin gives us a rare smile at “The Stylist Project” Exhibition in LA last night.

What’s not rare is a cute look from the “Big Love” actress.

The sun it out here in London, which puts me in the mood for a cute summery floaty dress with bare legs and strappy sandals.

I love the floral prints mixed with the purple lace on her Christian Dior Spring 2010 dress.

With her cute pixie cut she paired her look with a bejeweled Dior clutch and black ankle strap heels.

Runway To State Dinner At Elysee Palace – Carla Bruni-Sarkozy In RM by Roland Mouret

Yesterday evening I received a tweet from Kristen saying “Is Carla Bruni wearing the same RM dress that you wore to the BAFTAs?”.

After clicking the link I saw the beautiful Carla Bruni-Sarkozy was wearing the exact same teal green RM by Roland Mouret Fall 2009 gown I had worn to the BAFTAs just last week.

The First Lady of France wore her gown to welcome Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and his wife Svetlana to a state dinner held in their honour at Elysee Palace in Paris.

Carla’s hair was styled into a loose updo which got me thinking that she’s quite clearly taking style tips from me. j/k *winks*

Her look was paired with blue satin Christian Louboutin kitten heels, so she was very much representing French designers last night.

Who knew the First Lady of France and I share the same taste in clothes.

We don’t share the same taste in footwear though. I would never wear kitten heels. *shudders at the thought*

I forgot to say previously that Amber Valletta was the first to wear this gown.

Roberto Cavalli Fall 2010

Before the Roberto Cavalli Fall 2010 presentation, Roberto walked over to Anna Wintour thanked her for attending his show then kissed her hand.

Not many can make Anna Wintour blush, but Roberto Cavalli did.

He then headed to the side of the runway to watch his presentation. I found this surprising, but it makes perfect sense that he view the collection as the buyers and editors do.

I was later informed via twitter (what did we do before twitter?) that Oscar de la Renta has watched his show by the side of the runway too.

Before the presentation I’d wished Cavalli would bring back some of his distinctive animal prints and he didn’t let me down.

Leopard, tiger and cheetah prints were presented, but they were toned down and blended with the collection rather than stood out.

Cavalli concentrated on rich brocade pieces which dominated this collection via coats, pants, jackets and bags.

My favourite piece was the red coat worn by Natasha Poly. It feels like a vintage piece with rich history.

Apart from the brocades we saw velvet, military chic and many boho backless floaty maxi dresses.

Nicole Richie will be first in line to wear those maxi.

This collection was boho-chic in a very modern way, and I totally love every part of the presentation.

Who Wore Christian Dior Better? Daisy Lowe or Jordana Brewster

Daisy Lowe attended the unveiling of Claridge’s Christmas Tree in London last year.

The model wore a Christian Dior Resort 2010 dress with a nude underlay to show off the lace details.

Her look was a paired with an interesting Pauric Sweeney Ball Bag.

Jordana Brewster wore the same dress when she attended Kimberly Brooks’ “The Stylist Project” exhibition hosted by Vanity Fair and Dior in LA this week.

The actress paired her dress with a black satin clutch and black Jimmy Choo ‘Lace’ ankle strap patent heels.

Daisy’s looks so dishevelled in her look and the fact that she’s torn a hole in her dress is unforgivable.

Jordana is perfectly polished and respectful of the Dior dress she’s wearing so she wins for me.

On a side note, I think this dress looks much better as presented by the model with the black underlay.

Jenny’s Academy Awards Wish List

Carey Mulligan to wear Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2010

It seems like a lot of you are hoping for Carey Mulligan to wear Monique Lhuillier on the red carpet for the Oscars. I guess you are tired of the Lanvin and Prada.

Jenny said, “Since Carey is nominated, she should wear a fantastic gown”.

“A lot of people have been disappointed thus far, but this dress is a lovely color which would suit her skin tone and hair color. The rosette details are divine and this dress is a show-stopper”.

I agree the rosette details make this dress stand out.

It would be nice to see Carey wear something with some texture and volume.

Great pick

Antonio’s Academy Awards Wish List

Anne Hathaway to wear Armani Privé Spring 2010

The Oscars are this Sunday so here is a look at some of Antonio’s wishes for the big night.

Of Anne Hathaway Antonio said, “We heard that Anne had an eye on some dresses at the Armani Privé show during the Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris. I hope Rachel Zoe picks this special dress for Anne.”

“I think was made for her although lady gaga wore the modification or very similar design based on this dress to the Grammy’s”.

“This structured strapless dress is heavily embellished with a tulle overlay, the skirt with the rise-and-fall-hem is structured that would give a modern twist on Anne classic features. With some gorgeous simple strappy sandals or heels and a leiber miniadure the outfit would be perfect”.

I love Antonio’s description of his wish for Anne. I think Anne would give this look outstanding in this gown, much like did wearing Atelier Versace at the 2008 Venice Film Festival.

Carey Mulligan to wear Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2010

I’m desperate for a vibrant colour on Carey Mulligan, and Antonio has picked the perfect colour for the newly blonde actress.

Antonio said “This vibrant blue dress is AMAZING (sorry for the capitals) its would give her an stunning silhouette, and the thing is that I wanna see is this colour on her with her pale skin and short pixie cut.”

“With some stunning jewels and a black satin sash around her waist (kinda’ like the Jason Wu-esqe’ satin sash) it will look great on her.

Anna Kendrick to wear Marchesa Resort 2010

“I want Anna Kendrick to be my “Lady in Red” of the night, in this gorgeous red strapless Marchesa Resort 2010 gown.”

“Its simple but it has an old Hollywood vibe that would look great on Anna, without bling, simply bracelets, no necklaces need. Perfect!”

Anna has to wear a gown, so I hope she picks this gown Antonio.

Marion Cotillard to wear Christian Dior Spring 2010 Couture

Antonio said, “Im sorry but… It’s Dior..”

“This Dior dress is STUNNING, with Marion’s raven locks, I don’t have enough word to say how much I’ll be pleased if she wears this gown at the Academy Awards. I love the folds at the back of the dress and the embellished details on the bust line and on the detail at the back.”

Despite this being Dior, it’s a stunning gown.

I would like to see Marion try to get down the red carpet without bumping into someone with that big bow 🙂

Diane Kruger to wear Christian Dior Fall 2004 Couture

“OMG, i dont know you FC but this gown leaves me speechless, its stunning, amazing….”

“I want Diane to do the honor of wearing such a masterpiece. The embellishments around the bust line, and down to the hip its just breathtaking”.

“With Diane’s blond hair tied back in a slick pony tail or and updo, with a sultry make-up a la Dita-von-Teese without the red lips this would be a great look.”

OMG indeed this look for Diane would be amazing.
