Cate Blanchett In Givenchy – ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ Royal Premiere

It may have been a royal premiere, but there was only one queen reigning supreme on the red carpet this evening for ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ screening at the Empire Leicester Square, and that was Cate Blanchett.

The Australian actress wore a winter-white Givenchy Spring 2013 gown.

Considering the near-freezing temperatures in the capital this evening, Cate was wise to wear this long-sleeve, side slit, high-neck gown with gold metal accents on both shoulders and inside the cuffs, but the surprise feature of this look was the open back.

The elegant gown was styled with a white Givenchy envelope clutch and Givenchy Spring 2013 fashion-forward heels.

I don’t know about you, but I think I just died and went to fashion heaven.

Olivia Wilde In A.L.C. – ‘Django Unchained’ New York Premiere

In the absence of Kerry Washington, we had to turn to Olivia Wilde for eye candy on the red carpet last night for the ‘Django Unchained’ New York premiere.

Unfortunately there wasn’t enough for me to get excited about, and this is coming from someone who has never met a jumpsuit she didn’t love, own or desire.

Her A.L.C. jumpsuit does have a sexy twist with a plunging neckline, but she’s not really selling this look to me.

Picture Kristen Stewart, Rihanna or Karolina Kurkova in this look and we have one hot red carpet look. What do they have that Olivia is lacking? Attitude.

Blue velvet Gio Dev pumps, a selection of necklaces and a black clutch accessorized her menswear-inspired look.

Chen Shu In Alexander McQueen – Johnnie Walker House Beijing

Chen Shu attended the opening of the ‘Johnnie Walker House Beijing’ in China earlier this week.

She looked divine wearing a pale-pink Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 gown, making it four McQueen gowns to grace the red carpet in three days.

The soft, elegant gown, with a bow accent at the waist and subtle train, was styled with a brighter-pink lip colour, a McQueen clutch and gold jewels.

Of all the McQueen gowns you have seen this week, which has been your favourite?

Seth Rogen In Ermenegildo Zegna – ‘The Guilt Trip’ LA Premiere

Funny man Seth Rogen joined Barbara Streisand on the red carpet for the LA premiere of ‘The Guilt Trip’, which took place at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, California last night.

Both dressed in black; he wore a three-piece suit (my favourite kind) by Ermenegildo Zegna.

I’m glad he opted for a gingham shirt and dotted tie with his peaked-lapel suit; otherwise, this look could’ve been quite formulaic.

Karolina Kurkova In Elie Saab – Moncler Celebrates 60th Anniversary Art Basel Miami Party

Karolina Kurkova joined Pharrell Williams at the private dinner celebrating Remo Ruffini and Moncler’s 60th Anniversary during Art Basel Miami in Florida on Friday evening.

As we all know, Karolina loves wearing menswear-inspired looks; no one rocked this trend better this year, so she feminized the look by opting for an Elie Saab Spring 2013 ensemble.

Her trio of magenta pieces included a collared button-up blouse paired with a matching crepe blazer and shorts.

The look was originally presented in a cool royal-blue hue, but everyone ups the ante during this event so I’m not surprised she opted for an even brighter colour.

The cut-out ankle boots and feathered clutch give the look an edge, with kohl-rimmed eyes and ‘I’ve been lounging by the pool all day’ hair completing her look.
