Sofia Boutella In Prada – ‘The Mummy’ Taiwan Premiere

From Sydney, the cast of ‘The Mummy’ headed to Taiwan, China on Thursday (May 25) for the films premiere.

Sofia Boutella was showcasing her softer side one again wearing a pretty lemon-hued gown from Prada.

Yes, Prada.

This is proof once again that when the mood takes them, the Italian brand can make some stunning red carpet gowns.

What I love most here is the romantic mood and the delicate floral embellished straps which drape elegantly down her back.

Gal Gadot In Givenchy – ‘Wonder Woman’ LA Premiere

Gal Gadot looked every inch the leading lady for the LA premiere of her upcoming movie ‘Wonder Woman’ on Thursday (May 25).

I love that she chose a red Givenchy Fall 2017 sequin gown, because not only does the colour make an instant statement, but it also happens to be one of the colours in Wonder Woman’s original outfit — and what better way to give the role a nod?

She stayed true to the theme with her accessories too, opting for gladiator sandals from Aldo and a gold wrist cuff from Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

Robin Wright In Saint Laurent – ‘Wonder Woman’ LA Premiere

Robin Wright attended the ‘Wonder Woman’ LA premiere on Thursday (May 25), wearing a black velvet Saint Laurent Fall 2015 dress.

Let’s start with the positives: The way that the dress falls asymmetrically across her body and the sash from Robin’s halterneck, which loosely fell on her back, are both standout features.

Unfortunately I am not a fan of styled this look with the pumps and the uninspiring hairstyle.

Picture this with sandals, a slick back ‘do, the flower accents and a lot more attitude. It would’ve been magical.

What I am a fan of though, is that clutch. There’s nothing better than a statement handbag and I absolutely love the Saint Laurent patterned star clutch, not to mention the triangular earrings, which match the angular pattern on the purse.

Laura Dern In Rodarte – ‘Twin Peaks’ LA Premiere

Laura Dern wanted to turn heads when she showed up to the ‘Twin Peaks’ LA premiere on Friday (May 19) in Rodarte.

She did. But unfortunately it was for the wrong reasons.

I’m not sure what Laura was thinking with this Fall 2015 dress as it’s too busy: the combination between feathers, sequins and bold prints makes you dizzy. Then again, Rodarte is known for pushing boundaries.

The only positive about this is that the plunging V-neck, which is a look that really compliment her figure and her hair looks great in the wavy updo.

I’m not sure why Laura is trying to go down an edgy route, but it’s not really work for me.

Connie Nielsen In Alberta Ferretti – ‘Wonder Woman’ LA Premiere

Connie Nielsen attended the star studded ‘Wonder Woman’ LA premiere on Thursday (May 25).

The actress opted to wear a full-length, flowy Alberta Ferretti dress which may be considered modest, but the V-neckline and the single shoulder aspect ensure the dress is not boring or old-fashioned.

Wearing her hair in a simple updo and minimal accessories really works in her favour.

What we loved most about this dress is the illusion neckline – yes, there is one.

Further proof that it can be done correctly if the right skill and quality tulle fabric is used.

Amanda Seyfried In Versace – ‘Twin Peaks’ LA Premiere

When Amanda Seyfried attended the premiere of ‘Twin Peaks’ in LA on Friday (May 19), her outfit matched the dark mood of the drama series.

The actress kept it simple with a black Versace Fall 2017 mini-dress, but there was something special about her hemline which made the simple cut of the dress much more interesting.

The word ‘EQUALITY’ was embroidered into the hemline — a fitting message, since Hollywood has been known to favour it’s male counterparts.

Usually I wouldn’t be a fan of the dark plum lipstick given her pale complexion, but considering that ‘Twin Peaks’ revolves around the supernatural, it seemed fitting, plus it gave her outfit a sort of vampire-chic element.

And I love that she kept the look simple, only accessorising with a pair of Stella Luna shoes, and gold jewels which complimented her footwear.
