Rachel McAdams to wear Marchesa Spring 2010

Rachel McAdam’s has been wowing me on the red carpet lately and Marvel has chosen this Marchesa gown as a premiere look she’d love to see her in.

Rachel is January’s Vogue cover girl and it seems like she’s ready for her big fashion moment.

Marvel said, “I would love to see Rachel Mcadams in this Marchesa dress. She rarely hits the Red carpet but every time she does she is able to be graceful and still ooze sex appeal.”

“The dress is wonderfully constructed and was one of my favourite dresses on the Marchesa line. She would beyond gorgeous if she hit the red carpet to ‘Sherlock Holmes’ in this stunning dress. Forget Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, all eyes would be on her!”

I completely agree with Marvel on this choice for Rachel. I think that she has the sophistication and glamour needed to pull a piece like this off.

Meri has chosen 4 Spring 2010 looks for fashion fan Leighton Meester.

Meri says, “I admire Leighton Meester’s fearless and edgy style. I would love to see her in any of these looks.”

“With the right hair style and make-up she can easily pull them off and look superb.”

“Leighton loves to wear mini dresses and I think she can show both her sassy and edgy side with my first 3 picks.”

“We are not very used to seeing Leighton wearing pants on the red carpet therefore I picked this Rodarte piece for her. I think she can rock this look with some fierce heels
and red lipstick.”

What I love about all these looks is that they are edgy, yet not over the top.

Leighton has struggled to find this balance recently, so these looks would be a step in the right direction.  The Givenchy is my favourite.

Victoria Beckham to wear Chanel Fall 2009 Couture & Valentino Fall 2009 Couture

Katie has chosen four different Fall 2009 Couture looks for the Queen Bee herself Victoria Beckham.

Katie says, “I’d love to see Victoria in this look from the Chanel Fall show. This red suit with a fur collar would look amazing on her. I think it would be great to see her in
more suits as she is getting older. The bright color would be unexpected since she mostly wears black and white. The belt would cinch her tiny waist and would really
flatter her small frame. This look is bold and eye-catching while being lady-like.”

“It would be great to see V in something like this.”

“There are three looks from the Valentino show I would love to see Victroia in. These looks were made for her. The first is amazing. It’s black so she’d love it plus it has fur and lace which I think she would cary off. She is able to pull of very structural and interesting gowns so I don’t doubt she would look great in this. I’d love
to see her in something with more detailing which this provides. She would look so powerful in this.

“The next look would also be great as I think she would wear this dress with such confidence. Her body would look so amazing in this tight and tiny dress and she loves
showing off what she’s got. Who could be better to wear this sexy little dress than Victoria?”

“Lastly I have picked a look that is structured and black…what more could Victoria want? It’s not something we’ve seen her in before. I dont think she would get lost in this look because she is so striking and carries her outfits so well. She could really work this dress with some great bold shoes.”

I’m picking my brain here, but I can’t seem to remember a time when Victoria wore Couture.

I’m not sure the Chanel look would work on Victoria, but I LOVE the Valentino picks.  All are above the knee so VB can show off her toned legs and all have drama and sassy sex appeal that would appeal to Mrs B.

Jennifer Lopez to wear Elie Saab Spring 2010 & Donna Karan Fall 2009

I can definitely see why Jake has wished for form-fitting Elie Saab and Donna Karan looks in deep bold colours for Jennifer Lopez.

Jake said, “I wish for Jennifer Lopez to wear Elie Saab Spring 2010. The low neck and nipped-in waist would flatter JLo’s curves.”"

“I’d also like to see her in Donna Karan Fall 2009.  Burgundy is not an obvious choice but on Jennifer I think it’d shine.”

My absolute favourite is the Elie Saab dress for all the reason Jake has stated, but I also think the Donna Karan dress would flatter Jennifer’s curves but would she wear such a high neckline?

Sarah Jessica Parker to wear Christian Lacroix Fall 2009 Couture, Christian Dior Fall 2008 Couture & Hérve Léger Spring 2010

Her alter-ego Carrie Bradshaw has had some of the most stylish moments of the last decade so Sarah Jessica Parker sure knows how to dress.

Thomas has brought a new kind of wish to RCWL by adding accessories for the SATC star.

Thomas said, “Well I wanted to do something a little different so I put an entire look together for Sarah/Mrs. Bradshaw/Big.”

“I love this Fall 2009 Christian Lacroix Haute Couture suit just full of glamour and I think that Sarah is one of the only people that could pull this look off in real life-minus the head scarf.”

“I would pair it with the Hérve Léger Spring 2010 clutch. The clutch just has a structural elegance to it and is well matched with the suit and the shoes- with those you don’t need another wow factor, just something simple yet chic. This clutch is enough.”

“Then there are the Christian Dior Fall 2008 Couture shoes. They are just a statement in themselves and well, I love them!”

Thomas I love that you thought about a head-to-toe look, and I also like that you didn’t pick anything too cutesy for SJP.

As much as I like your choice of dress, I’m drawn to those heels….did I say drawn I mean I’m drooling over those heels.

Chloe Sevigny to wear Dries Van Noten Spring 2010

Chloe Sevigny loves to mix it up combining vintage finds with high-end goods. She oozes cool and YSL Girl has chosen something she’d love to see Chloe play with.

YSL Girl said, “I would love to see Chloe Sevigny wear anything from Dries Van Noten Spring 2010. Because she takes so many risks, I would love to see her attempt to pull off the antique colour printed skirt and have her team it with the top from the second look!”

This was one of my favourite Spring 2010 collections, and I’m delighted that YSL Girl has wish for Chloe to wear these pieces as she wouldn’t make them too complicated.  She would wear them with ease and confidence.

I fear we won’t see much of this collection on the red carpet, but I hope I’m wrong.

Emily Blunt to wear Elie Saab Spring 2010 & J. Mendel Fall 2009

This Elie Saab look has proven popular on our Wish List page and a shortened version of the metallic dress was recently chosen for Beyonce, but Jake would like to see it worn by English rose Emily Blunt.

Jake said, “I immediately knew that Emily would do the Elie Saab dress justice. It would make her glow and Emily always looks fabulous in floor-length dresses. She has a history of dressing to the nines on the red carpet and both the Elie Saab and the J. Mendel will enhance her assets in all the right places.”

“Simply put, both dresses are magnificent.”

I agree, but being a huge Elie Saab fan, I would naturally love to see this worn by Emily as she often likes to wear embellished looks.
