Nicole Kidman to wear Christian Dior Spring 2010

Leo is looking forward to the movie “Nine” which features heavyweight actress Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Sophia Loren, Kate Hudson, Judi Dench and singer Fergie.

In anticipation of the premiere ‘Nine’ Leo has created a red carpet wish for his favourtie actresses picking some of this season’s best catwalk eye-candy.

Leo said, “We’ll probably get to see it’s amazing cast of women working the red carpet together for a premiere. I don’t think any of them would like to stand less than the other.”

Over the next week all the picks are from Leo for the stars of this film.

Leo says, “First, I picked Dior Spring 2010 for Nicole Kidman because how many boring L’Wren Scott looks are left for her?”

“The latest Dior collection is very Bacall-esque and Nicole can really bring that kind of glamour so it really fits her. Plus, she looks gorgeous in darker colours against her porcelain skin.”

Camilla Belle to wear Alexander McQueen Spring 2010

Last week Catherine and I picked Camilla Belle for Best Dressed Of The Week as she was stunning in a bold Alexander McQueen Spring 2010 puffball dress with a beaded detail on the shoulders and waist.

Antonio has opted for another of McQueen’s fabulous dresses to be worn by Camilla in his wish.

Antonio said, “I was bored and I was looking through Style.com to see if they uploaded the McQueen Spring 2010 collection and when I first saw this dress I definitely thought of Camilla Belle.”

“She would do justice and way beyond to this dress. The print is bold, it is a Risk, but she can pull it off.” She would give a romantic, feminine feel to this dress, the colour
would melt to her skin tone and the details on the hips are gorgeous.”

“I’m still guessing if its an abstract print or a mix of reptile prints, but the dress is gorgeous. Thanks to Mr. McQueen for this creation.”

Let’s face it, the gorgeous Angelina could make a garbage bag look good. So if she were to do as Kelly wishes and slip into something as stunning as this Salvatore Ferragamo dress, we’d all know about it.

Kelly said, “I think that this Salvatore Ferragamo gown would be perfect on Angie Jolie.”

“As we’re well aware she prefers black on the red carpet so this would be within her comfort zone. However I think with her signature cat-eye make-up and hair pulled up this gown would make her look like the red-carpet royalty she should be.”

Katy Perry fan Sally wants to see the singer in a fresh piece by concept-driven design-duo Viktor & Rolf.

Sally says, “I’ve always loved Katy Perry’s eclectic and fun style but I am really loving that now she is starting to be taken a bit more seriously in the fashion world”.

“When I first saw this Viktor & Rolf collection my jaw dropped and I was covered in goosebumps.”

“I’ve chosen this strapless dress as she always looks great in strapless and seems to favour this style. I believe she has the personality and the sass to pull this amazing dress off and it would only give her more credibility.”

“Hopefully some of this unbelievable collection will make it on to some red carpets!”

Claire Danes to wear Christian Dior Fall 2009 Couture, Elie Saab Fall 2009 & Balenciaga Fall 2009

Claire Danes is a very sophisticated.

She tends to frustrate many as she doesn’t seem to take any risks on the red carpet, so Mario has picked a few looks that would definitely shake things up.

Mario said, “I’ve always liked Claire Danes and I think she has recently made an extraordinary improvement in her style yet I always have the feeling she stays in a sometimes-too-boring comfort zone. That’s why I thought of picking some slightly edgier looks for her, bearing in mind they need to have an elegant feel to them or Claire would never even think of wearing them.”

“Firstly I’ve thought of this red belted Christian Dior dress from the Couture Fall 2009 collection. It’s quite an uneven collection but there were some wonderful pieces this dress being one of them.”

“I think both the cut and the colour would look great on Claire. (She could maybe remove the lace from the hem, though I’m not sure if modifying a Dior is a privilege reserved only to the amazing Charlize Theron.)”

“The second piece is this beautiful Elie Saab gown from the Fall 2009 collection. Even though it may not seem too risky I think this look would give us a bit more drama from Claire, which is something I always feel she lacks. The colour is amazing and the shape and movement of the gown is incredible.”

“Finally I’ve gone for Balenciaga, a house that’s producing some fabulous work lately. I’ve chosen this aquamarine printed dress.”

“I think the high neck and the long sleeves would be to Claire’s liking. Yet at the same time it would be something new on her as the awesome cut, slight ruffling on the shoulders and the folding details on the skirt move away from the plain designs she tends to pick.”

Beyonce Knowles to wear Aquilano.Rimondi Spring 2010, Costume National Spring 2010, Georges Chakra Fall 2009 and Elie Saab Spring 2010

Alfredo red carpet wishes are dedicated to Beyonce who is known for making strong statements on the red carpet, so he picked feminine designs to flatter the star.

Alfredo Says, “Award season is almost here and Beyonce will definitely be strolling down the red carpet like no other. I want to see her in new designers with more colour on
the red carpet, I want gowns/mini dresses in strong jewel tones like midnight blue, emerald green, and royal purple.”

“She would look lovely in these Aquilano.Rimondi Spring 2010 gowns. These are a long shot as Beyonce has never worn this designer and it’s the opposite of what
she would normally wear. She rarely wears ruffles so that would be a surprise.”

“I love the colour of the Costume National Spring 2010 gown it just need to be altered a bit for Beyonce’s body. This one is probably a more likely choice as she has worn Costume National before.”

“Or this green Georges Chakra Fall 2009 dress could work brilliantly. It’s beaded, that should seal the deal!”

“Since Beyonce’s love for Elie Saab is undeniable and his pieces are amazing we’ll let her slide with one or two pieces from him. Just NO Balmain for the Red Carpet.”

Dita Von Teese to wear Christian Dior Fall 2008

Dita Von Teese has a very strong look and dresses with true individuality and expression. Rebecca has found a Christian Dior Fall 2008 look that she believes would be perfect for the pin-up.

Rebecca said, “Despite this gown being a couple of seasons old, I would still still die for someone to wear it. It really is outstanding. Dita automatically came to mind when I saw it.”

“I don’t know where she could really wear the gown as she would even struggle to get away with it at the Oscars. But being Dita, she would surely find the right event for this masterpiece.” “Most people would look ridiculous and totally out of their comfort zone but I think she has the poise to pull it off.”

Given Dita’s confidence and bold taste in dress I agree with Rebecca.

A perfect fit for this couture piece.

Rihanna never plays it safe. Whether she’s on the red carpet or walking the streets of New York or Paris.

Lauren wishes to see Rihanna wear one of the amazing gowns we saw at Viktor & Rolf Spring 2010 presentation.

She said, “I’m dying to see this Viktor and Rolf ball gown on the red carpet, and I think Rihanna might be the only person who could pull it off. It would be amazing.”

It would be pretty amazing. The last time we saw Rihanna in a gown was at the 2008 BET Awards, so it would interesting to see how she would pull this off.

Regina has always wished to see Cate Blanchett wearing Balmain.

Regina says, “She that rare woman who can make these clothes worthy and will not look cheap and trashy as many other celebs.”

“When I saw the new collection with all the gold and military style, I immediately wanted to see in it on Cate Blanchett.”

“Not everyone can pull of the first Balmain outfit, but Cate it will make look easily. This top reminds me the warrior woman, and skinny trousers will emphasize her amazing figure.”

“The gold sequined dress has cut outs in the most unexpected places, but only Cate will make it look classy.

“When I saw this Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2010 suit, I immediately thought of Irina Spalk, Cate’s character in the Indiana Jones movie”.

“Cate looks fantastic suits, I hope she will wore something similar on the red carpet.”

I never thought of Cate as a Balmain girl, as so many celebs has cheapened the brand. Regina’s picks have made me reconsider.

Cate is a strong woman, and these pieces were designed for someone strong, confident and powerful. Cate fits that mold.

My favourite has to be the Dolce & Gabbana suit. It’s so classic and Cate always wears suits with an air of elegance.
