Sally Hawkins In Vivienne Westwood – ‘The Shape Of Water’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Sally Hawkins joined her co-star Octavia Spencer for ‘The Shape Of Water’ 74th Venice Film Festival photocall and premiere on Thursday (August 31).

Photocall: The British actress was oozing a carefree vibe in this flowy chiffon maxi dress, featuring a vivid print hinting at her quirky personality.

Premiere: As always, no prizes for guessing she wore Vivienne Westwood for the premiere. While some might have issues with the rust colour – which I actually don’t mind – my greatest issue are her Jimmy Choos. They were far too distracting as they didn’t complement the elegant gown at all.

Rebecca Hall In Prada – ‘First Reformed’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Rebecca Hall continued to perform her juror duties during the 74th Venice Film Festival yesterday (August 31).

The British actress has really hit the ground running at this event. I’ve found myself blown away by each of her looks.

On this occasion she wore vanilla-hued Prada gown featuring the brands signature embellished details which she complemented with a fringed Prada clutch.

I love the Grecian goddess vibe of look, and the clutch adds so much charm here, but the hair was a tad lackluster.

De Beers jewels completed her look.

Amanda Seyfried In Valentino & Alexander McQueen – ‘First Reformed’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

It was exciting to see Amanda Seyfried back on the red carpet after becoming a new mum earlier in the year. And what better way to make a comeback than the 74th Venice Film Festival.

Photocall: Printed with lips and lipsticks, I love the playfulness of her Valentino Resort 2018 dress. I wasn’t always a huge fan of the Seyfried/Givenchy union, this feels way more suited to her style. Stuart Weitzman ‘Bebare’ sandals completed her look.

Premiere: I really wanted to love this Alexander McQueen look. Normally their rare red carpet sightings are a beauty to behold, but I found myself disliking the patchwork nature of it. “We’ll add some florals. What about sheer lace? Don’t forget the polka dots. We must incorporate a handkerchief hem” Arggghh. Too much is going on here. The only thing I love here are her Chopard earrings from the ‘ Temptations Collections’.

Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji – ‘The Shape Of Water’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Octavia Spencer is in Italy to promote her new film, ‘The Shape Of Water’ during the 74th Venice Film Festival on Thursday (August 31), where she of course wore Tadashi Shoji.

I don’t know about you, but I found myself being surprisingly underwhelmed by Octavia on this occasion.

Photocall: This style fits Octavia to a tee, but this dress would’ve been so much better had the lining not been so stark. It was the wrong shade for this navy dress.

Premiere: While I do love this look, especially the wine-hue, I would’ve loved something that was more in tune with the grand occasion. This as a gown would’ve been magical for me. Lorraine Schwartz jewels completed her look.

Rebecca Hall In Gabriela Hearst – Venice Film Festival Opening Ceremony Dinner

After taking my breath away at the opening ceremony, Rebecca Hall was back on the red carpet for the dinner celebrating the 74th Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (August 30).

On this occasion she kept things typically simple wearing her favourite brand Gabriela Hearst.

I love how her Resort 2018 dress, which possess the tailored sophistication of menswear, had stylish depth imbued via her Gabriela Hearst ‘Demi’ bag and Malone Souliers ‘Eunice’ sandals green sandals.

‘Downsizing’ Venice Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the rest of the looks from tonight’s opening ceremony for the 2017 Venice Film Festival.

Renata Kuerten: The Brazilian model showed how you bring the magic and drama of a European Film Festival in Alberta Ferretti. This feathered Fall 2017 gown was perfection from head-to-toe.

Greta Scarano: The Italian actress also selected Alberta Ferretti, sweeping the red carpet in a lighter than air sheer number styled with matching satin Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and Crivelli jewels.  This is what red carpet fairytales are made of.
