Emily Blunt In Jason Wu – ‘The Five Year Engagement’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Emily Blunt joined her co-star Jason Segal on the opening night of the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival for the premiere of their latest movie, ‘The Five Year Engagement’, held at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City last night.

The British actress looked beautiful wearing a Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2012 dress.

She added a silver buckled belt to her black fit-and-flare strapless dress with a green embroidered leaf detail bodice.

The embroidered details were complemented with green Alice + Olivia ‘Devon’ pumps, plus she added a black Valentino clutch from the ‘Noir’ capsule collection.

Beauty-wise, I love the slicked-back hairdo which showcases those stunning Lorraine Scwhartz earrings.

A hot-fuchsia lip colour and kohl-rimmed eyes completed the look.

Emily has worn some amazing looks in her time, but this one ranks in the top 5 for me.

Dakota Fanning In Lanvin – 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Vanity Fair Party

Dakota Fanning hit the red carpet for the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Vanity Fair Party in New York City to celebrate the opening of the festival which runs from April 18 through to April 29.

The young actress wore a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2012 dress.

Her vibrant fuchsia pink frock is pretty, fun and youthful, but her tan Lanvin pumps are a tad conservative for the look.

Also I don’t get what’s going on north of her eyebrows. What is that thing on her head?

We asked her to do something new with her hair, not her head.

A gold clutch and copper eyeshadow completed her look.

Whilst I like this look, I’m baffled by the shoe choice and the headband, plus I think I miss the belt.

Anna Kendrick In Zuhair Murad – Vanity Fair Party At The 2011 Tribeca Film Festival

During the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City last night, Vanity Fair hosted a party which was attended by Anna Kendrick.

The ‘Twilight’ actress walked the red carpet wearing a show stopping, leopard print Zuhair Murad black lace dress.

I’m guessing Anna wanted the dress to do all the work, because she simply added muted Jimmy Choo black pumps.

She kept her make-up light and neutral.

Despite the gorgeous sexy dress, I’m finding it hard to get excited about this look.

Miranda Kerr In Roland Mouret – 2011 Tribeca Film Festival “The Good Doctor” Premiere

Miranda Kerr continues to flaunt her new-yummy mummy curves on the red carpet.

The model attended the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival “The Good Doctor” Premiere with hubby Orlando Bloom.

She looked stunning wearing a Roland Mouret Galaxy dress from the Fall 2005 collection.

Twelve seasons on and the Galaxy dress is still the go-to dress to show off a gorgeous figure.

Miranda accessorized with hot pink Christian Louboutin pumps and a black quilted Lanvin bag.

My only disappointed with this look is that I wish Miranda had worn the right bra with this dress.

A balconette bra or a strapless bra would have worked better.

As a Victoria’s Secret model she should’ve known this.

Rose Byrne In Chanel – 6th Annual Tribeca Film Festival Artist Dinner Hosted By Chanel

Rose Byrne also attended the 6th Annual Tribeca Film Festival Artist Dinner which was held at the Odeon Restaurant in New York City.

She was of course wearing Chanel.

Her black embellished halter-neck dress is from the Spring 2011 collection, was accented with a belt to give more shape to the dress.

Her simple updo showcased her bang on trend fringe.

Wearing her hair up allowed us to see the delicate embellishments around the neckline.

On this occasion strappy heels would’ve been preferred as her dress is so light and delicate.

The pumps feel a bit heavy for the look.

Eva Mendes In Gucci – 2011 Tribeca Film Festival “Last Night” Premiere

Eva Mendes was ravishing in red as she attended the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival Premiere for “Last Night.”

She wore a 70s inspired luxe red Gucci silk chiffon dress from the Fall 2011 collection.

The long sleeve chiffon dress was paired with nude Jimmy Choo heels and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels

A coral lip colour and luscious waves completed her look.

I love the look without the belt as it gives the look a less restrictive free flowing feel which Eva is happily evoking.

Hayden Panettiere In Julien Macdonald – 2011 Tribeca Film Festival “Hoodwinked Too” Screening

Hayden Panettiere attended the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival Family Screening of “Hoodwinked Too” at the Clearview Cinemas Chelsea New York City on Saturday.

The blonde actress opted for a Julien Macdonald Spring 2011 mini dress which has been modified from the runway.

Her blush and orange petal-print silk-chiffon dress has an orange overlay compared to the runway version which is blush.

Whilst I prefer the orange overlay on Hayden, I prefer the skirt on the runway.

Hayden shredded version feels a bit messy to me.

Her tan leather jacket makes her lingerie inspired dress more appropriate for an animated screening, as do her nude pumps.

The bronze Lauren Merkin clutch also provides a nice contrast.

2010 The Tribeca Film Festival Awards Night – Abbie Cornish In Toni Maticevski

Last week Abbie Cornish attended the 2010 The Tribeca Film Festival Awards Night in New York City.

The Australian actress showed her support for Aussie designer Toni Maticevski.

Her look included a gold sequin draped Toni Maticevski Fall 2010 pencil skirt, a black Eryn Brinie top and a white vest.

This ladies and gentleman, is what happens when you don’t go head-to-toe like the runway.

I know many of you hate when celebs go head-to-toe, but Abbie would’ve pull off this look had she worn the grey blouse.

Even though I appreciate the fact that Abbie tried to make this look her own, nothing works together.

Toni Maticevski’s Fall 2010 collection was stunning.

It’s such a shame that it’s been presented to us this way.

“Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston” New York Premiere – Sarah Jessica Parker In Stella McCartney

Friday night saw the world premiere of Whitney Sudler-Smith’s documentary “Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston”.

Sarah Jessica Parker, who recently joined Halston Heritage as president and chief creative officer arrived on the red carpet wearing a Stella McCartney Spring 2009 look.

I guess wearing Halston would’ve been too obvious.

Her ensemble included a stand-out stunning sequin ombre tank dress, paired with a blue cashmere boyfriend sweater.

Gold Brian Atwood strappy sandals and a cross-over Lanvin bag completed the look.

I still wonder why people wear cross-over bags on the red carpet as they can be so unflattering.
