Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Friday night saw the world premiere of Whitney Sudler-Smith’s documentary “Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston”.

Sarah Jessica Parker, who recently joined Halston Heritage as president and chief creative officer arrived on the red carpet wearing a Stella McCartney Spring 2009 look.

I guess wearing Halston would’ve been too obvious.

Her ensemble included a stand-out stunning sequin ombre tank dress, paired with a blue cashmere boyfriend sweater.

Gold Brian Atwood strappy sandals and a cross-over Lanvin bag completed the look.

I still wonder why people wear cross-over bags on the red carpet as they can be so unflattering.

Kristen Bell was one of the many guests invited to Chanel’s 5th Annual Tribeca Film Festival Dinner.

She was of course wearing Chanel.

There is something about this 50s-inspired dress which makes me think of Blair Waldorf.

It’s not an edgy black, nor a sexy black dress, but sweet LBD.

Almost a bit too sweet, especially as she’s playfully holding her skirt in a “look at me mummy” kinda way.

I think an updo or a ponytail would have added something to this look, because Kristen isn’t really saying much in this dress despite the modified skirt and lined blouse.

She kinda looks the same as always.

I do like the ankle Chanel strap heels, the cuff bracelet and the clutch, but I just feel like something is missing.

Alicja Bachleda is probably known as Colin Farrell’s baby mother, but she’s an actress and a singer in her own right.

Last night she looked breath-taking as she walked the red carpet at Tribeca Film Festival for screening of “Ondine”.

Haider Ackermann always blows me away on the red carpet.

We don’t see his work that often, but it’s always a pleasurable experience because of the fine details and the way his pieces elegantly wrap around a the woman’s body.

Alicja striped down this look, by wearing just the Haider Ackermann Spring 2010 lilac wrap pocketed suede vest, with the lilac Haider Ackermann skirt.

The result is spectacular.

Not many of us are fond of mullet skirts or dresses, but I think she pulls this look off effortlessly.

The pink top under her vest is the only thing to slightly bother me, but I love her hair pulled back with this look.

Rebecca Hall looked quite formal on the red carpet for “Please Give” premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival last night.

Despite the formality of her look the Brit actress still look fabulous wearing a Givenchy Spring 2010 ensemble.

The look consisted of a black sleeveless top with wide white lapels and a tie at the waist plus black pegged pants.

I like that she kept the look clean and that she didn’t try to make it too girlie by over accessorizing.

Rupert Sanderson Estelle cut-out heels and a black Bottega Veneta minaudiere satin clutch completed this clean fresh look.

Didn’t Jessica Alba recently cut her hair?

Well a long hair Jessica arrived on the red carpet for the Tribeca Film Festival screening of “The Killer Inside Me” in New York.

The actress opted for a floaty ethereal Chloé Spring 2010 dress.

Her romantic ivory dress with pleated embroidered layers is so beautiful.

The look was complete with statement necklaces, a sculptural gold cuff, tan strappy Marni sandals and a white studded clutch.

I like the way Jessica is mixing things up, going from edgy in Proenza Schouler to boho in Chloé.

On the red carpet Jessica saved Kate from what could have been a very embarrassing moment as a gush of wind caught Kate’s skirt.

Jess deserves a spot on the BDOTW poll.
