Freida Pinto In Gucci – ‘Trishna’ New York Premiere

Freida Pinto opted for a more masculine approach to red-carpet dressing for the premiere of her latest film ‘Trishna’ on Friday night in New York City during the Tribeca Film Festival.

The Indian beauty wore a chic Gucci Pre-Fall 2012 suit.

Her raspberry single-breasted suit was styled with a black silk-chiffon blouse and a black leather belt also from Gucci.

I love that she kept the black-and-gold butterfly pin detail which was complemented with a black-and-gold striped Fendi beaded baguette.

A bright-pink lip colour, a bun with side-swept bangs, and simple black Gucci pumps completed her look.

It not often we see Freida taking a risk on the red carpet, but this bold suit is a BDOTW contender in my eyes.

Cobie Smulders In Reem Acra – ‘The Avengers’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Scarlett Johansson left the promotional duties to Cobie Smulders this weekend.

The brunette actress joined co-stars Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth on the red carpet on Saturday night for the Tribeca Film Festival premiere for ‘The Avengers’.

Opting for another bold colour, Cobie looked stunning wearing a Reem Acra Spring 2012 gown.

Her orange-crepe v-neck gown with embellished cap sleeves was styled with complementary gold accessories including a Judith Leiber clutch, a Ippolita gladiator cuff and statement earrings plus a H.Stern ring.

A sophisticated updo and nude lippie completed her look.

Jennifer Morrison In Donna Karan – ‘Knife Fight’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Jennifer Morrison attended the ‘Knife Fight’ premiere during the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City last night.

The actress becomes the third celebrity this week to wear a look from the now very popular Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

Her sleek strapless black-and-white jumpsuit with wide-legged pants was styled with aqua-stone earrings and an orange lip colour.

A simple ponytail was all that was needed to make this look red carpet ready.

I love that she didn’t try to make the look too dressy or fussy.

You may remember that Rooney Mara wore this same look on ‘The David Letterman Show’ earlier this year.

Malin Akerman In Victor Costa – ‘The Giant Mechanical Man’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Malin Akerman was also at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival yesterday evening attending the premiere for ‘The Giant Mechanical Man’ in New York City.

She wore a vintage Victor Costa dress.

Her black velvet and champagne satin strapless wrap-style dress with a sweetheart neckline was styled with Fred Leighton jewels, an Anya Hindmarch black clutch and Walter Steiger ankle strap heels.

A wavy updo completed her look.

The satin panels ruin this dress for me. They’re not as smoothed out as I would like them to be.
