Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Julianne Moore was her usual sophisticated self at the premiere of ‘What Maisie Knew’ during the Toronto Film Festival last night.

The actress chose a tailored Alexander McQueen dress for the red carpet.

Julianne rarely puts a style step wrong – and here she’s stayed true to form.

The neckline is a little daring for a woman of her age, but it works. As does her natural hair and make-up.

Christian Louboutin ‘T-Spiga’ T-bar pumps, Eddie Borgo earrings and McQueen clutch are also welcome additions.

Keira Knightley dazzled at the premiere of her film ‘Anna Karenina’ at the 2012 Toronto Film Festival last night.

The actress chose a black Elie Saab gown from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection for the event.

The gown is a similar cut to the Chanel Couture ensemble she wore to the London premiere earlier this week – this look, however, is far superior.

The lace detail is beautiful rather than bulky and the narrower belt works better on her waist. Even the sheerness is done tastefully, resulting in a sophisticated silhouette.

Keira finished her look with a side-swept fringe, Chanel earrings and Gucci heels.

Marion Cotillard stayed true to her Gallic roots for the premiere of her film ‘Rust & Bone’ at the Toronto Film Festival last night.

The French actress chose a grey Christian Dior Couture piece from the Fall 2012 collection for the event.

The neckline works well on Marion, as does the demure length. The blink-and-you’ll-miss-it nod to a peplum also adds an interesting detail.

She finished off her look with blue heels, a gold cuff and a sleek side-swept updo.

Emily Blunt attended the opening night of the 2012 Toronto Film Festival yesterday for the premiere of her film ‘Looper’.

The actress showed off her petite frame in a formfitting Roland Mouret dress.

I love this darker red hue on Emily and the designer’s signature ‘Galaxy’ neckline works well. The strappy sandals are also a nice choice. I do, however, wish she’d worn her hair in a sleeker style.

Matching Lorraine Schwartz bangles on each wrist and a pair of pretty Lorraine Schwartz rings completed her look.

When Kristen Stewart hit the red carpet for the ‘On The Road’ premiere during the 2012 Toronto Film Festival, it took me a while to figure out what was different.

It finally dawned on me that it was her hair. Pardon me if this comes across rude, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it look so clean, or so straight for that matter.

Her efforts also didn’t go unnoticed in the dress department, either, as she looked lovely wearing a Zuhair Murad Fall 2012 Couture knee-length dress.

The long-sleeved black lace dress with colourful beaded floral embroidery was of course paired with Jimmy Choo black pumps; no changes there.

A slick of dark pink lippie and a gold pendant necklace completed her look.

Maggie Gyllenhaal attended the Toronto Film Festival Premiere of her latest movie, “Hysteria” this week.

She opted to wear a beautiful ivory lace Lanvin Resort 2012 maxi dress.

The actress didn’t add anything but red lips and a simple updo to her look.

Whilst I like the simplicity of her look, I really wish she added something to define her waist.
