Alicia Vikander In Louis Vuitton & Rosetta Getty – 2015 Toronto International Film Festival

Alicia Vikander In Louis Vuitton & Rosetta Getty - 2015 Toronto International Film Festival

From the Venice Film Festival to the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, Alicia Vikander continued making the rounds with appearances at ‘The Danish Girl’ TIFF premiere, HFPA/InStyle’s Annual TIFF Party, and the Holt Renfrew And Variety Magazine Cast Dinner, all hosted this past weekend in Toronto, Canada.

‘The Danish Girl’ Premiere: Continuing her BDOTW chic streak, she returned to a more minimalistic aesthetic for the TIFF premiere on Saturday (September 12). Her custom-made Louis Vuitton open-back gown was crafted in silk satin, crepe, and leather. I love how this mix of materials created movement across the all-black dress while providing visual interest. Romantic curls injected a note of charming femininity into the edgier look.

HFPA/InStyle’s Annual TIFF Party: Making a quick change, she donned a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton ensemble for the party after the premiere, channeling elegant grace. The Fall 2015 classic tweed dress was edged up with leather studded sandals and a Petite Malle clutch While the charm of the wavy strands was again likeable, I may have preferred a loosely tied-back updo with this tweedy frock—but perhaps she had little time to restyle her hair between events.

Holt Renfrew And Variety Magazine Cast Dinner: Giving the Louis Vuitton looks a night off, she wore a sleekly simple Rosetta Getty Pre-Fall 2015 dress at ‘The Danish Girl’ dinner on Sunday (September 13) held at The Holts Café. You may remember this dual-colour, less-is-more design was previously worn by Elizabeth Olsen, but I was just as content to see it repeated without a jacket this time around.

Naomi Watts In Burberry Prorsum, Vionnet, Fausto Puglisi – 2015 Toronto Film Festival

Naomi Watts In Burberry Prorsum, Vionnet, Fausto Puglisi - 2015 Toronto Film Festival

Over the weekend, Naomi Watts attended the ‘Demolition’ press conference, ‘About Ray’ premiere, and InStyle & HFPA Party, all hosted during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.

‘Demolition’ Press Conference: While her ‘Demolition’ premiere look wasn’t her best moment, this Burberry Prorsum Resort 2016 dress was somewhat redeeming at the press conference on Friday (September 11). I love the romantic feminine appeal of the lace contrasted by the sharper structure of the dress and its geometric black paneling.

‘About Ray’ Premiere: A day later, everything was coming up rosy for the actress who attended the screening at the Princess of Wales Theatre in a Vionnet Resort 2016 suit with Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ metallic sandals. I’m not always a fan of Pepto Bismol pink on the red carpet, but I found this mannish statement with colour-blocked crimson lapels a striking study in contrasts. Shame about the distracting wrinkles throughout.

InStyle & HFPA Party: Making a quick change from her premiere suit to sexy lace, she later made the party rounds at the Windsor Arms Hotel in a Fausto Puglisi Resort 2016 frock styled with a Rauwolf clutch. No matter how hard I try, I simply cannot get past the distracting neon-green apron that dominates the dress—it is reminiscent of a vampy French maid costume gone wrong.

Elle Fanning In Emilio Pucci & Gucci – ‘Trumbo‘ & ‘About Ray’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Elle Fanning In Emilio Pucci & Gucci - 'About Ray' & ‘Trumbo‘ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Elle Fanning was by far the best dressed during the 2015 Toronto Film Festival on Saturday (September 12), which saw her take to the red carpet twice for the ‘About Ray’ and ‘Trumbo‘ premieres.

‘About Ray’ Premiere: This Emilio Pucci black and white silk chiffon halter gown shows that Elle can do grown up glamour while still possessing plenty of charm. I love that on this red carpet full of Hollywood heavyweights, she managed to take centre stage. This leaves me totally starstruck.

‘Trumbo‘ Premiere: Elle’s second look from Gucci’s Fall 2015 collection was decidedly playful thanks to the asymmetrical pleated details, red belt with a purple silk floral broach and bejewelled hair accessory.

Rachel McAdams In Cushnie et Ochs & Zimmermann - 'Every Thing Will Be Fine' & Jason Reitman's Live Read Toronto International Film Festival Photocalls

Rachel McAdams attended the ‘Every Thing Will Be Fine’ and Jason Reitman’s Live Read photocalls this weekend during the 2015 Toronto Film Festival.

‘Every Thing Will Be Fine’ Photocall: Taking this opportunity to showcase her vampy side, the actress was smouldering wearing a Cushine et Ochs Fall 2015 strapless dress enhanced with a peek-a-boo mesh panel. The look was styled with a deep red lip, Jack Vartanian diamond ear climbers and Christian Louboutin ‘Toerless Muse’ pumps.

Jason Reitman’s Live Read Photocall: The following day, Rachel was a totally different woman wearing a Zimmerman ‘Admire Cherry’ dress which exuded plenty of bohemian vibes. While the look is pretty, it kinda feels out of place at this event.

Rachel Weisz In Louis Vuitton, Valentino & Gucci – 2015 Toronto Film Festival

Rachel Weisz In Louis Vuitton, Valentino & Gucci - 2015 Toronto Film Festival

Rachel Weisz made a return to the red carpet during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, where she attended ‘The Lobster’ and ‘Youth’ premieres on Friday and Saturday respectively, plus HFPA/InStyle’s Annual party in Toronto, Canada.

‘The Lobster’ Premiere: I was delighted to see this Louis Vuitton Resort 2016 look on the red carpet as this was one of my favourite from the collection. Some might consider a t-shirt and maxi skirt too casual for a premiere, but I think this look upholds endless amounts of elegance.

‘Youth’ Premiere: It took me a while, but I now see the whimsical charm of Rachel’s Valentino Resort 2016 gown. Having seen this over the weekend, my first thought was the dress was sprouting fungus. The look was styled with a simple updo and Jimmy Choo ‘Cameo’ clutch.

InStyle & HFPA Party: Rachel’s final dress hails from Gucci’s Resort 2016 collection which she styled with Kurt Geiger ‘Hazel’ platform sandals and her Jimmy Choo ‘Cameo’ clutch. I love how this the mod style dress was in complete contrast to the first two looks, however, I’m surprised she selected such a playful piece.

Which was your favourite?

Kate Mara In A.L.C., Valentino & Self-Portrait – ‘The Martian’ Toronto Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Kate Mara In ALC Jumpsuit & Valentino - 2015 Toronto Film Festival

Kate Mara joined Jessica Chastain for the ‘The Martian’ photocall and premiere on Friday (September 11) during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, plus she attended EW’s Must List party the following day.

‘The Martian’ Photocall: Kate’s red carpet looks tend to be a tad predictable, but I didn’t see this A.L.C. ‘Chandler’ jumpsuit on the horizon. The sleek one-piece accented with cut-out was styled with Brian Atwood + Donald Robertson ‘Alis Lips’ pumps.

‘The Martian’ Premiere: Kate second look was considerably more enticing than her co-stars option for the premiere. Oozing glitz and plenty of glamour, the look was styled with gold Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and a Rauwolf clutch.

EW’s Must List Party: Kate’s third Self-Portrait Fall 2015 look had a touch of déjà vu about it, as she tends to gravitate to these style of mini dresses.
