Who Was Your Best Dressed At The British Independent Film Awards?

Olga Kurylenko In Balmain – British Independent Film Awards 2017

Following her appearance at the Dubai International Film Festival which saw Olga Kurylenko don two Elie Saab Couture gowns, the actress was back in London for the British Independent Film Awards on Sunday (December 10).

Making lustre the operating principle of her red carpet look, Olga opted for a different style of glamour in Balmain.

Crafted with thick, textural embroidery and metal beading, I love how the fringe trims add a sassy edgy.

While we’re more used to a particular, some might say predictable, style from Olga, I think manages to pull this heavy-duty look off with great aplomb.

Do you agree?

Joanne Froggatt In Temperley London – British Independent Film Awards 2017

Joanne Froggatt joined a host of stars on a cold night for the British Independent Film Awards on Sunday (December 10) on Old Billingsgate in London.

The ‘Downton Abbey’ actress opted for a romantic silhouette via this Temperley London Spring 2018 gown.

Structured with a fitted bodice, the look proceeds to casts a spell in frothy tulle with embellishments which floats ephemerally along the skirt.

Unlike the model, Joanne opted for red pumps instead of a red lip, but I love the look either way.

Hayley Atwell In Jenny Packham – British Independent Film Awards 2017

Hayley Atwell attended the British Independent Film Awards on Sunday (December 10) on Old Billingsgate in London.

As a bridal gown, this Jenny Packham dress works.

As a red carpet gown, I have to say it’s possibly one my least favourite looks of the night.

Dated is a word that is used often, but it very much applies in this case.

Factor in the out-of-place black clutch and this look is only gorgeous from the neck up.

Allison Williams In The Row – British Independent Film Awards 2017

Allison Williams also joined the list at the British Independent Film Awards 2017 on Sunday (December 10) on Old Billingsgate in London.

While some may be left uninspired by her minimalist statement from Spring 2018 collection of The Row, there was something striking in its languid, slip-dress allure that made no apologies for its extreme simplicity.

I like how her blonde waves echoed the effortless nonchalance of the look.

Did you like the pared-back nature of her styling, or were you left wishing for something more?
