Rita Ora In Alexandre Vauthier – 2017 Teen Choice Awards

Before Rita Ora took the stage to perform ‘Your Song’ during the opening act at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (August 13) in LA, she was on the red carpet, where she showcased her legends and cupcakes nail art.

This may have been Teen Choice, but Rita was wearing an all-grown-up outfit, oozing playful seduction in a hot-pink, slit-to-there Alexandre Vauthier robe-style wrap gown.

While she accessorised with a matching pink lip and a diamond body chain, it was her sunny-yellow highlights that gave the equally attention-grabbing dress a run for its money.

Some might find this all-around neon explosion a bit excessive, however, this is Rita we’re talking about.

And, she simply had to make a stand for her particular brand of sexy punchiness before changing into a sporty jumpsuit for her performance.

Yara Shahidi In Fear of God & Libertine – 2017 Teen Choice Awards

Yara Shahidi brought forth another version of her uniquely spirited style at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards last night (August 13) in LA.

Rocking her own version of athleisure, the young starlet showed that she wasn’t afraid to wear a sequined Libertine top with her sporty track pants and millennial-pink bomber courtesy of Fear of God.

More carefree glam came by way of Giuseppe Zanotti cage sandals and Tiffany & Co. bauble earrings.

I won’t pretend it wasn’t something of a trend-bending, disjointed effort, but her youthful zeal certainly worked in her favour. This was a look that was all in good, casual fun, anyway.

Millie Bobby Brown In Kenzo – 2017 Teen Choice Awards

Millie Bobby Brown’s outlook may have been a bit too sunny at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards last night (August 13) in LA, as it seems even she required sunglasses to shield her eyes.

That the funky Chrome Hearts shades were ageing to the young ‘Stranger Things’ starlet is an understatement.

But, even her bright yellow Kenzo Resort 2018 dress couldn’t right this style ship, as I found the tulle-overlay design to seem rather haphazard at best, and rather ill-fitting at worst. It nearly looked as if her under-slip had fallen too far below her dress.

I’d only keep the cool Pierre Hardy ‘Memphis’ colour-block sandals and scrap the rest of it. What about you?

Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Teen Choice Awards Roundup

More pretty young things took to the red carpet for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards hosted at the USC Galen Center on Sunday (August 16) in Los Angeles, California.

Shay Mitchell: The actress skipped the young and fun memo and instead channeled her inner glam-rock star in a Versus Versace scarf-print mini dress. Metallic Giuseppe Zanotti sandals reflected the gold accent buttons and belting while a sleek ‘do imparted a modern vibe.

Bella Thorne: In this Balmain coral-embroidered, corset-inspired frock, Bella took the mini to even more mini levels. She maneuvered it well despite the high potential for wardrobe malfunction between the top and the bottom. A Lee Savage gold clutch and Stuart Weitzman ‘Xchain’ sandals finished the statement.

Maia Mitchell: I loved the fresh youthfulness of the Aussie starlet’s breezy Giamba Spring 2015 white embroidered top and shorts, especially with the unique cape-like silhouette of the top that added another layer of visual interest. A long braid only added to the effortlessly cool vibe.
