Paz Vega In Jorge Acuña – 2017 Goya Awards

If you’re anything like me, you’ve been waiting patiently for the princess gown moment of the 2017 Goya Awards, which were hosted on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid—and Paz Vega delivered it.

Granted, hers was of a significantly darker, more dramatic variety with the slim turtleneck top and feathered ball skirt of this Jorge Acuña confection delivering an intriguing black swan edge.

Her jet-black pixie cut and red lip worked to heighten the mystique of the look even more.

Juana Acosta In The 2nd Skin Co. – 2017 Goya Awards

Juana Acosta attended the 2017 Goya Awards on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid.

Working the winter-white look, she wore a gown by The 2nd Skin Co that sophisticatedly glided over her figure.

However, the shoulder detail on the otherwise minimalist design bore the uncanny resemblance to a clown ruffle, leaving me to only ponder how much I wanted to remove it.

The rest of the ensemble couldn’t have been more chic, though, with sparkling Tiffany & Co. jewels along with a sleek updo and a red lip to round it out.

Aura Garrido In Lorenzo Caprile – 2017 Goya Awards

Aura Garrido vamped up the red carpet at the 2017 Goya Awards on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid.

She relied on the sleek lines and sharp slits of her Lorenzo Caprile off-the-shoulder black gown to deliver a sense of drama for the otherwise minimal design.

Accessories including a Louis Vuitton clutch and Jimmy Choo lace-up sandals more or less blended in with the look, so it’s no surprise her matte red lip commanded attention.

It’s the choker necklace I question, as I’m not sure if it emboldened the look or took it into costume-y territory. What do you make of it?

Silvia Abascal In Armani Prive – 2017 Goya Awards

Silvia Abascal attended the 2017 Goya Awards, held on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid.

Through her Armani Prive Fall 2015 one-sleeve gown, we relived the creative fun of Giorgio Armani’s collection.

The dress certainly didn’t take itself too seriously with the cascade of multi-coloured textures that were a mix between pom-poms and fringe carpet.

The diamond bracelet was certainly not needed, but the bold magenta clutch tied the look together.

Mar Saura In Michael Kors – 2017 Goya Awards

Mar Saura went for the gold at the 2017 Goya Awards, held on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid.

Her textural Michael Kors gown adds to the velvet crush we’ve lately seen on the red carpet over the past few weeks.

Keeping the golden sheen of the look front and centre, she kept the styling to an effortless minimum with a black and gold box clutch, minimal jewels, and loosely curled waves.

Michelle Jenner In Christian Dior Couture – 2017 Goya Awards

Michelle Jenner attended the 2017 Goya Awards, held on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid.

The actress wore a Christian Dior Fall 2016 Couture asymmetrical gown.

While I loved the look for its pure white innocence, and the intrigue of the black motif at the side, I found myself wanting to remove the pleated side panels to reveal the clean lines of the column dress beneath.
