Nieves Alvarez In Saint Laurent – ‘Feria de Sevilla’ Bullfight

Despite our personal objections, the Saint Laurent Spring 2013 collection is getting a lot of celebrity love.

Nieves Alvarez joined Miriam Yeung in wearing a look from said collection this weekend, when she attended the ‘Feria de Sevilla’ bullfight in Seville, Spain.

Who knew bull fight was such a dressy affair?

We’ve seen plenty of pant suit combos, but Nieves, as expected gives the look a fresh twist.

So many celebs have been slaves to the runway styling, that it’s refreshing to see her colourful accessories including a Jimmy Choo red pumps, a black Jimmy Choo clutch and what I thought was another striped bag was actually a seat cover from the event.

Nieves opted to carry her jacquard blazer, as the weather looks glorious there in Seville.

Maria Jose Suarez In Emilio Pucci – Emporio Armani Madrid Boutique Opening

Maria Jose Suarez attended the opening of a new Emporio Armani store in Madrid, Spain yesterday evening.

The Spanish beauty opted to wear a sexy Emilio Pucci frock from the Resort 2013 collection to liven up the black carpet.

Her raspberry keyhole dress with flamenco-style ruffles on the open sleeves was styled with Yanes jewels, a gold Escada clutch and the Jimmy Choo ‘Malika’ perforated booties we’ve seen on Diane Kruger in silver-and-gold and Alex Curran in black.

The yellow version really pops against the black background.

Effortless, loose waves and glossy lips completed her spirited look.

I’m glad she didn’t add the belt as featured on the model, as she didn’t need it.

Blanca Suarez In Victoria Beckham – ‘Los Amantes Pasajeros’ Rome Photocall

Blanca Suarez attended the ‘Los Amantes Pasajeros’ photocall held at Residenza di Ripetta in Rome, Italy last month.

The Spanish beauty wore a Victoria Beckham Spring 2013 dress, the less sporty version of a similar look which took to the runway.

Her crisp white dress features a pointy collar, rectangular lace front panel, asymmetrical side panels and a figure-hugging pencil skirt.

You may remember that Michelle Williams wore the runway version in black a few weeks ago.

Michelle’s look was more youthful; Blanca’s sexy frock suits her sexy screen siren persona, with the style of this dress being very much a signature look from Victoria Beckham.

Despite growing as a designer, and taking her brand in different directions for the past two seasons, Victoria has clearly not forgotten that her loyal customers still want a classic VB fitted dress.

Vanesa Romero In Tibi – ‘Tres’ Press Conference

Vanesa Romero was out promoting her new movie ‘Tres’ by attending a press conference in Madrid, Spain this weekend.

This star print may bring back memories (good or bad) of the Dolce & Gabbana star-print craze which took over the red carpet in 2011, but Vanesa’s look on this occasion is actually by Tibi.

Her black tee and relaxed-fit silk pants featuring a white galactic print were styled with yellow Christian Louboutin pumps.

A further pop of colour was added via her pink lip shade, with kohl-rimmed eyes and a simple ponytail providing the finishing touches to her promo-tour look.

The shoes perfect this look for me. They could’ve been anonymous (nude) or generic (black) but her selection provided the perfect punch.

Fotogramas Awards 2013 Red Carpet Round Up

Here are some more great looks from Monday night’s Fotogramas Awards 2013, held at the Joy Eslava Club in Madrid, Spain. I was surprised by the amount of re-runs.

Celia Freijeiro: The actress wore a Christian Dior Spring 2010 silver lurex wrap dress with a lace trim, which we first saw on the gorgeous Charlize Theron back in November, 2009. She styled the look with Jimmy Choo ‘Dream’ elaphe sandals from the Spring 2013 collection with multi-coloured tassels, and a purple sequinned clutch. The accessories and her bold lip colour bring down the look.

Dafne Fernandez: Second only to Nieves Alvarez when it comes to my favourite Spanish stars, the actress wore a Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2013 black-and-white-striped dress which we’ve seen on Nicole Richie. Dafne’s styling of her look was more favourable than Celia’s as Dafne opted for sleek black sandals, a matching clutch, gold hooped earrings and a red pout.

Nerea Garmendia: The next re-run came courtesy of this Michael Kors optic-white top with silver embroidery, optic-white shorts and a silver belt from the Spring 2013 collection, which we saw with gold embroidery on Nina Dobrev. Chartreuse Jimmy Choo bow-accented pumps, a silver Jimmy Choo clutch and Yanes jewels accessorized the look. The shoes upstaged the rest of the look don’t you think?

Blanca Suarez: The final re-run was an Emilio Pucci Spring 2013 dress, which we have seen on Kate Bosworth. Unlike Kate, Blanca opted for colour, adding hot-pink shoes, gold accessories, plus red nails and red lips.

Who wins: Hollywood or Madrid?
