Aura Garrido In Louis Vuitton & Chrisitan Dior – 2015 Malaga Film Festival

Aura Garrido In Louis Vuitton & Chrisitan Dior - 2015 Malaga Film Festival

Aura Garrido attended both the ‘Asesinos Inocentes’ photocall and ‘Sexo Facil, Peliculas Tristes’ premiere, during the 2015 Malaga Film Festival on Wednesday (April 22) in Malaga, Spain, where the Spanish actress favoured French brands.

‘Asesinos Inocentes’ Photocall: While the Louis Vuitton Resort 2015 collection has been done to death, I do on occasion find myself still enjoying the absolutely youthful and jovial pieces on the red carpet. Sadly, I don’t sense that here. The look doesn’t seem to fit Aura’s considered, elegant style.

‘Sexo Facil, Peliculas Tristes’ Premiere: Aura’s second look was much more like it. Hailing from the Christian Dior Resort 2015 collection, I love how this gown demonstrates that simple is beautiful, without being boring. The sophisticated look was styled with a Louis Vuitton Petite Malle clutch.

2015 Malaga Film Festival Opening Ceremony

2015 Malaga Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Spanish stunners were out in force for the 18th Malaga Film Festival opening ceremony, hosted at the Cervantes Theater on Friday (April 17) in Malaga, Spain. Here, a roundup of the looks—many from Spanish designers, naturally—that took to the red carpet.

Manuela Velasco: The star’s pastel-blue Oscar de la Renta high-low gown with metallic flowers was surprisingly one of the more subtle, safe pieces on the red carpet. She reflected the silver in the dress with her Aquazzura pumps. She looked lovely with her sideswept waves yet something about this ensemble registered as too precious for Manuela.

Silvia Abascal: Nixing a gown, the actress took an edgier angle in a Stéphane Rolland Spring 2015 Couture white jumpsuit with golden sash embellishment paired with stacked Christian Louboutin shoes for added height. Carrera y Carrera jewels added a Spanish touch. In theory, I loved the artistry of this look with the swoosh of the long cape. But I cannot get past the nude illusion panel that sadly compromises the design.

Celia Freijeiro In Vivienne Westwood – Valle-Inclán Theatre Awards

Celia Freijeiro In Vivienne Westwood - Valle-Inclán Theatre Awards

Celia Freijeiro hosted the Valle-Inclán Theatre Awards held in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday (April 14).

I’m certain this gown needs no introduction as it’s classic Vivienne Westwood.

From the hypnotic colour, to the draped design and corseted waist, there is no chance of me growing tired of Vivienne’s signature gowns any time soon.

The gown is further enhanced by Celia’s beauty, flowing locks and effortless styling.

One of the BDOTW list me thinks. Do you agree?

Blanca Suarez In Zuhair Murad Couture – ‘Perdiendo el Norte’ Madrid Premiere

Blanca Suarez In Zuhair Murad Couture - 'Perdiendo el Norte' Madrid Premiere

Blanca Suarez attended the ‘Perdiendo el Norte’ premiere held at Capitol Cinema on Thursday (March 5) in Madrid, Spain.

The Spanish beauty wore a Zuhair Murad Spring 2014 Couture white tuxedo-inspired gown, which I love, but I was really disappointed by Blanca’s styling.

The shoes and the clutch don’t complement this chic offering. Simple no-fuss accessories would’ve worked so much better.

I also found that leaf belt obstructive. A thin belt or no belt at all would’ve provided the perfect finishing touch.

Blanca Suarez In Zuhair Murad – Fotogramas Awards

Blanca Suarez In Zuhair Murad - Fotogramas Awards

Blanca Suarez attended the Fotogramas Awards ceremony held at Joy Eslava on Monday (March 2) in Madrid, Spain.

The actress wore a Zuhair Murad black sheer gown featuring an explosion of colourful floral embroidery that put a spring into this elegant gown’s step.

I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t think this dress was Valentino at first as it possesses the dainty ladylike qualities you don’t always associate with Zuhair Murad, who usually comes to mind upon sight of an overtly sexy gown that the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio adore.

Confidently displaying an air of charisma and grace, this look was one of my favourites from this event, not only for the colours and Blanca’s poise but also for her styling.

I’m sure you’ll agree this look is much improved over her Film Independent Spirit Awards effort.
