Nieves Alvarez In Gucci – Vogue Who’s On Next Awards

Nieves Alvarez attended the Vogue Who’s On Next Awards in Madrid, Spain this evening (May 24) wearing a very familiar look.

Some might be thinking, “did we really need to have a third outing of this look?”

But I think in terms of styling Naomie Harris and Shu Qi kept the shoes simple whereas showed us how you can take this look up a notch with embellished Louboutins, a Buglari clutch and jewels.

Third time’s a charm, or was this one re-run too many?

Malaga Film Festival 2018

After Opening Day, the Malaga Film Festival 2018 continued to see a spate of stars on its red carpet in Malaga, Spain. And, they brought the glamour in spades on Day 2 and Day 3 of the festival on Saturday (April 14) and Sunday (April 15).

Paz Vega: I love how Paz paid tribute to the host country in a gown from Madrid-based The 2nd SKIN Co.’s Spring 2018 collection on Day 2 of the festival. The delicacy of the ballet-pink, chiffon layers was artfully awakened by the dimensional poufs of floral-like embellishment throughout for a striking effect.

Malaga Film Festival 2018 Opening Day

A trio of beauties were at the Opening Day of the Malaga Film Festival 2018 last Friday (April 13) in Spain.

Eugenia Silva: My feeling is that this glittery Armani Privé Spring 2017 held promise, but it was compromised in execution with the overly sheer effects—as well as what I would call an unnecessary addition of jewels with the earrings, necklace, and cuff plus the embellished clutch all rallying for attention. Less is often more.

Juana Acosta: This charmingly feminine H&M Conscious Exclusive frock was previously worn by Mena Suvari, but Juana mastered the eco-chic look so well that you won’t find me complaining. This was the perfect union of girlishness and glamour with the metallic accessories adding a special layer of dimension to the dress.

Belén Cuesta: Stripped of its western, cowgirl influences seen on the runway, this sparkling Christian Dior Resort 2018 corset dress retained a more straightforward elegance that Belén did not complicate by over-styling it with jewels.

Clara Lago In Maria Escote – Silk Epil Presentation

Clara Lago was a beauty in brights at the Silk Epil presentation on Thursday (April 12) in Madrid, Spain.

The Spanish actress was clad in a Maria Escote dress bedecked with a multicoloured diamond pattern.

The shorter hemline coupled with the coordinating belt gives the outfit a mod finish.

The longer length had an exuberant elegance, but the mini showcased her pins to full effect. My only slight nitpick is that the hem could have had a smoother finish. It looks a bit warped from this vantage point.

Mascaró shoes and Gemmasu jewels brought even more vivacious colour.

Paz Vega In The 2nd Skin Co. – ‘Fugitiva’ TV Series Premiere

Paz Vega made an impression on the red carpet for the ‘Fugitiva’ TV Series premiere held at the Callao cinema on Monday (April 2) in Madrid, Spain.

Easy opulence lies at the heart of 2ND LAB’s aesthetic, and this burgundy jacquard top and trouser Pre-Fall 2016 combo is a beautiful reflection of those values.

I love how the sculptural shape is married with sumptuous texture in this uber cool look, and how she didn’t over accessorize the look, just adding a matching pair of maroon pumps.

The look feels instantly modern, unfussy and elegant – everything you expect from a Paz Vega look.

Nieves Alvarez In Diane von Furstenberg – TUMI Store Opening

Nieves Alvarez feted the TUMI store opening in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday (March 20).

She can always be relied upon to bring flash and pizzazz to her every ensemble, and this Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2018 look had every bit of that bold spirit.

This ensemble was far and away from a wrap dress, and I liked the intrepid mix of stars and stripes here.

Aquazzura pointy heels tied the red elements together, with a TUMI bag (naturally), Bulgari watch, and Messika jewels rounding out her accessories.

You may remember that Janelle Monae wore this look earlier this year.

Union De Actores Awards 2018 Red Carpet Roundup

Texture and bold prints were popular styles at the Union de Actores Awards 2018 on Monday (March 12) in Madrid, Spain. Lovely ladies joined Penelope Cruz.

Juana Acosta: The Colombian actress struck a pose in a Johanna Ortiz gown. It was brimming with dark romance from the deep colour palette and full sleeves. Jimmy Choo shoes and clutch played up the mood while the slit down the front added a sensual undercurrent.

Elena Anaya: Showing some leg, the ‘Wonder Woman’ actress donned a Carmen March frock. I fear that many will describe this as a garbage bag dress given the textural quality of the fabric. She carried a #MasMujeres red fan. Like #MeToo, it helps support equality for women in cinema.
