Red Carpet Fashion Awards

20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - ArrivalsStylists and makeup artists alike seem to be against the matchy-matchy trend, but Elisabeth Moss may have just proved them wrong. With bold red lips to complement her bold red Michael Kors gown, Elisabeth stepped out looking gorgeous (and not the least bit matchy-matchy).

Celebrity makeup artist, Jenn Streicher for Maybelline New York, was inspired by the city of love. “When Elisabeth stepped into her dress, elegance, grace and Paris all came to mind!” says Streicher.

Streicher prepped Elisabeth’s skin with Hourglass No 28 Primer Serum, then sponged on Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation #5 and blended outwards. The liquid foundation was set with the Maybelline New York Dream Wonder Powder, which was applied on Elisabeth’s nose, forehead, and chin.

Elisabeth’s cheeks were brought to life with Maybelline New York Face Studio Master Glaze in Just-Pinched Pink.

For her eyes, Streicher kept it simple as not to clash with the lip color. She swept Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Tattoo Metal in Barely Branded over her lids and also along her bottom lash line. She completed the eye look with a quick flick of Lancome Liner Design in Black Fishnets.

Next was Elisabeth’s pout, which was dressed up in Maybelline New York Color Elixir Lip Color in Signature Scarlet. Streicher applied extra product onto the middle of her mouth for more definition.

Elisabeth carried both the Maybelline powder and lip colour in her clutch throughout the night for touch-ups.

Nail Trend Spotting - 2014 SAG Awards Chic Naturals

A few of the gorgeous ladies who attended the annual SAG Awards showcased some lovely, light-coloured manicures. Though each manicurist had different inspirations in mind, they all lead to the same thing: elegance.

Celeb manicurist Lisa Postma was inspired by “something very Parisian” and dressed up Elisabeth Moss’ nails in a beautiful neutral color: Essie’s Cocktails and Coconuts, which is part of their upcoming resort collection.

Christina Aviles, Sarah Hyland’s manicurist, went for something simple and clean. Essie’s upcoming Vanity Fairest looked gorgeous against Sarah’s baby pink gown.

Michelle Dockery sported quite a cocktail of pinky lights thanks to celeb manicurist Christina Aviles. The combo: Essie’s Ballet Slippers and Mademoiselle. She wanted to pair Michelle’s classic black and white gown with something class and fresh.

SAG Awards mens 1A host of stars came out to celebrate their peers at the 2014 SAG Awards, held last night (January 18) at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. Here, a roundup of the menswear looks we saw taking to the red carpet.

Jared Leto: The ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ star and outstanding supporting actor winner was ever so handsomely dressed up in a black Dior Homme narrow peak lapel suit, worn with a white cotton wing-tip shirt, a white cotton bow tie, and black patent-leather derbies. While his look was more refined than rocker, the white bow tie and those long ombre locks were the quirky notes that we can always expect with Jared.

Bradley Cooper: Looking unbelievably suave, the ‘American Hustle’ actor donned a black Gucci two-button, velvet notch-lapel ‘Marseille’ tuxedo with a white evening shirt, black bow tie, and black leather lace-up shoes. David Yurman cufflinks and shirt studs completed the formal effect.
