‘Modern Family’ starlet Sarah Hyland proved she was no shrinking violet at the 2013 SAG Awards, hosted at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on Sunday evening.
The young actress flaunted her fashion prowess, opting to wear a strapless, purple Dolce & Gabbana gown rendered in an abstractly printed fabric.
It’s not so often that a print successfully shows up on the red carpet, and this one was sophisticatedly subtle yet still interesting enough to be eye-catching.
The structure of the corset-like bodice served as a nice contrast to the gathered, flowing skirt. After seeing so many black gowns walk the carpet this past weekend, this plum shade was a delicious change of pace—and it fit right into the more colorful SAG fashions glimpsed this year.
Sarah accessorized the dress with a black Judith Leiber clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewels, including a sparkling pair of diamond earrings.
A soft updo with wispy, face-framing layers, coupled with a radiant, bronzed makeup and a nude lip, completed the look.
