Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Never one to shy away from a red carpet, Lea Michele attended the 2012 People’s Choice Awards tonight.

Lea wore a white Marchesa Spring 2012 dress with fringe detail.

While this certainly is not the first time we’ve seen Lea in Marchesa, this may be the first time we are head over heels in love with the ‘Glee’ actress.

Lea truly makes the dress her own, with shiny sideswept hair and a fab bubble-gum pink lip colour.

Gold sandals, Jimmy Choo ‘Senor’ glitter sandals and teardrop diamond earrings finish the look.

Lucy Hale was among the first celebrities to step out for the 2012 People’s Choice Awards taking place at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California this evening.

The teen actress took on several trends at once wearing a Cengiz Abazoglu dress.

Her asymmetrical black dress with embellished details and a sweeping neckline was teamed with black platformed heels and a Swarovski’s black crystal ‘Midnight’ clutch.

If only we could snip off that extra piece of long fabric – this look could be a knockout.

It even reminds us of her pretty in pink moment at the Teen Choice Awards.

Hair and makeup look flawless, though.

Here are the rest of the looks from the 2011 People’s Choice Awards.

AnnaLynne McCord stood out in a bright blue backless YSL dress which she paired with gold Louboutin’s.

Niki Taylor was a tad too formal at this event in a black Donna Karan gown.

Malin Akerman wore a playful J.Mendel white dress which she livened up with ruby red heels and a matching clutch.

Lucy Hale was my least favourite at this event wearing a mustard satin Ronald Abdala cap sleeve dress, which she paired with Rene Cavollia heels and Amrapali jewels.

Kendall Jenner wore a cute one-sleeve Bebe dress with hideous black brogues.

Maggie Q opted for a fashion-forward Herve Leger Fall 2010 dress with heavy black pumps.

Kourtney Kardashian wore a strapless Gert-Johan Coetzee dress. She accessorized with a Swarovski clutch and tan Louboutin’s.

Khloe Kardashian opted for a well worn Alexander McQueen strapless silk-chiffon gown which is back this season in grey.

We’ve seen this dress in green on Jessica Alba and Mary J Blige.

Amrapali earrings and a Judith Leiber clutch completed her look along with a fresh new red colour hair for 2011.

Joint Best Dressed & The Hostess with the Mostest Award
Queen Latifah was the host for 2011 People’s Choice Awards last night.

Both her stunning looks were custom made Edition by Georges Chakra Spring 2011 gowns.

In both cases her look was preferred over the runway.

This turquoise ombre chiffon halter gown with Lucite beaded necklace neckline is heavenly against her smooth skin.

It’s like looking out into the Caribbean sea.

This was my favourite of the night.

Her second Edition by Georges Chakra Spring 2011 gown was a vibrant fuchsia crepe one shoulder gown with crystal beading and satin strap detail.

All the detail is lost in white on the runway, so I’m glad Queen Latifah brought it to life for us.

She totally works both looks.

Which is your favourite?

Joint Best Dressed & Stand-Out Award
I can imagine that this will be the marmite look of the 2011 People’s Choice Awards.

You’ll either love it or hate it.

As usual Leighton Meester was the only one to give us something totally different on the red carpet.

No ruffles, no gowns, no minis, no sequins, just a laid-back unpretentious Vionnet Spring 2011 grey ensemble with a floral embroidered print.

Leighton paired her dress with lavender Brian Atwood ‘Elle’ heels and gorgeous orange Cathy Waterman statement earrings.

I love this refreshing look and I’m already excited to see what she wears next.

So. Do you love it or hate it?
