Emma Roberts In Prada – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Emma Roberts brought some Old Hollywood grandeur to the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 4) in Beverly Hills, where she joined Kate Beckinsale, Sofia Vergara and Kate Bosworth.

The ‘American Horror Story’ actress shimmered in a pale yellow Prada gown. The buttery shade isn’t typically seen on the red carpet, but it captured the vintage allure while enhancing the tones in her skin and hair.

With the rhinestone bow straps and smattering of beading and sequins, it was already a head-turning look, but I love how she took it a step further with the feathered stole.

It was true retro glamour.

Kate Bosworth In Christian Dior Couture – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Kate Bosworth had her own version of a fairy-tale moment at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 4) in Beverly Hills, California.

I was swept up in the fantasy of her diaphanous, rose-gold Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture tulle gown.

Instead of the look’s original belt, she opted to bring in the embellishment via her Piaget jewels.

I did find myself wondering if I would have preferred this dress with the belt to better tie in the bronze clutch—and without the choker necklace.

Were both the earrings and necklace overkill in your eyes?

Jenna Dewan Tatum In Pamella Roland – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Jenna Dewan Tatum was a modern siren at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 4) in Beverly Hills, California.

This simple yet enthralling gown from the Pamella Roland Fall 2018 collection, styled with Hueb diamond cluster earrings, ticked all the boxes on sexy sophistication.

Plus, the burgundy-wine hue, together with Jenna’s matching lip and jet-dark locks, was quite striking.

This may be one of the night’s most effective use of embellishment, too, as it subtly yet pointedly directed even more attention to her toned pin.

She has an incredible figure, and I love how she put it on display—without employing any sheer or try-hard tendencies.

Kate Beckinsale In Reem Acra – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Kate Beckinsale struck a pose at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 4) in Beverly Hills, joining Tracee Ellis Ross and Isla Fisher.

The British beauty is partial to black so this slinky Reem Acra Resort 2018 gown was very much in her wheelhouse.

The fit is exquisite with the fabric gliding over every curve.

What I’m struggling with is the bow appliqués.

They add a sweet charm to the sensual black base, but what baffles me is that the dress has been cut with such care yet a jarring fabric was chosen for the flesh-toned panels. A sheerer netting was called for or the accents would have been better as cut-outs.

The same issue appears in the lookbook version.

Sofia Vergara In Ralph & Russo Couture – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

You may have not been surprised to see Sofia Vergara in a figure-hugging hourglass gown at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 4) in Beverly Hills, California.

But, what was a bit outside her box in this custom Ralph & Russo Couture design was the embellished cape overlay that added a layer of dramatic elegance to the dazzling look.

However, later photos show that Sofia wouldn’t be content to not flaunt her signature silhouette in its fully glory, as once the cape was removed, it became a much more recognizable entrance for the sassy actress.

With her familiar megawatt earrings and her equally megawatt smile, there were no better ways for Sofia to complete her ensemble.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Balmain 44 François Premier – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

I always look forward to seeing what mood Tracee Ellis Ross will project on the red carpet. At the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 4), she made a strong, sharp-shouldered statement, alongside Rashida Jones and Sarah Paulson.

The ‘Black-ish’ actress shimmered in a Balmain 44 François Premier gown. It was a quieter look given the designer’s penchant for dramatic opulence, but in no way was it boring.

The bodice, festooned with embellishment, created a dynamic textural contrast against the soft pleating of the black skirt.

She married the two fabrics with a Judith Leiber clutch and Roger Vivier shoes.
