Charli XCX In Jeremy Scott – 2015 MTV Movie Awards

Charli XCX In Jeremy Scott - 2015 MTV Movie Awards

Charli XCX performed with special guests Ty Dolla $ign and Tinashe at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (April 12) in Los Angeles, California.

Before hitting the stage, the British songstress took plaid and platforms out for a spin in a Jeremy Scott Fall 2015 plastic raincoat.

The twee, rainbow-hued design was rather strikingly juxtaposed to the singer’s raven-black waves and crimson lip. And, that the look was absent its runway hat and teal tights is something to which I will not complain.

The mega-clunky, punk-star Vivienne Westwood stripper booties were an unfortunate addition to an otherwise cheeky-cute entrance.

Holland Roden attended the 2015 MTV Movie Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (April 12) in Los Angeles, California.

Like many other PYTs in attendance, the ‘Teen Wolf’ actress also opted for a playful minidress, hers a honeycomb-patterned frock from emerging designer Caterina Gatta’s Fall 2015 collection.

I love the collared, cutout design for its striking silhouette, graphic appeal, and sassy-sweet retro mood.

She accessorized with a black Edie Parker clutch, while turquoise pumps injected a dose of spirited colour to the black-and-white palette to wrap up the look on a high note.

Amy Schumer In Balmain – 2015 MTV Movie Awards

Before commencing her hosting duties, Amy Schumer took to the blue carpet at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (April 12) in Los Angeles, California.

Making a bold statement from the start, the funny girl wore a seriously graphic black-and-white look taken from the Balmain Spring 2015 collection.

Despite the high-contrast, geometric interplay of shapes, which I loved, I was still left missing something.

The look felt unfinished yet I would be willing to bet that a sleeker updo, a red lip, and a spot of jewelry would have remedied all.

Jennifer Lopez In Versus Versace – 2015 MTV Movie Awards

Jennifer Lopez In Versus Versace - 2015 MTV Movie Awards

Jennifer Lopez attended the 2015 MTV Movie Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (April 12) in Los Angeles, California.

While we received a brief respite from the mini dresses, the ‘American Idol’ judge returned to her first love, flaunting her pins in a Versus Versace Spring 2015 ensemble that packed plenty of attitude—and a dose of designer Anthony Vaccarello’s signature sultry touch.

The body-con, tailored plunge blazer and miniskirt received a decorative twist with gold buttons and a statement Medusa belt, to which J. Lo only augmented with gold hoop earrings, rows of bangles, and rings across nearly every finger.

Yes, there was lots of bling, so I’m rather glad those Giuseppe Zanotti black sandals were simple and streamlined.

With bronzed makeup and brushed-back hair, she very much played to a vintage vein of rock-chic Versace, and I actually don’t mind this look for the occasion as it manages to maintain a certain level of sophistication despite its mini proportions.

Victoria Justice In Versace – 2015 MTV Movie Awards

Victoria Justice sparkled at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (April 12) in Los Angeles, California.

Leaving no pot of glitter unturned, the ‘Eye Candy’ starlet wore a Versace Spring 2015 shimmery cocktail frock matched with black bangles, clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Whistler’ pumps.

The colour-blocked crystal mesh mini was just begging for a dance floor—and some ’80s music. But this MTV occasion was as good a night as any to pull out the sassy little number.

A sleek, simple updo would have worked wonders here in place of the half-up, half-down mini-pompadour look.
