Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Menswear Weekend RoundupWith the MTV Movie Awards 2014 in Los Angeles, California and the Laurence Olivier Awards in London, England on this past weekend’s roster, the guys hit the red carpet with fashion guns blazing on both sides of the pond.

Jared Leto: Snagging a golden popcorn at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday (April 13) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live for ‘Best On-Screen Transformation’ in ‘Dallas Buyers Club,’ the actor was rock-star rad in a Lanvin black silk knot-embroidered, peak-lapel tuxedo jacket, teamed with aviator shades. Funky, MTV-worthy appeal came in the form of that black-and-white Hawaiian shirt, skinny dark pants and sneakers.

Tom Hiddleston: Looking ever so dapper, the British actor was dressed impeccably at the Laurence Olivier Awards on Sunday (April 13). He paired his sharply tailored, black Alexander McQueen single-breasted, one-button ‘McQueen shoulder’ tuxedo with a white evening shirt with black buttons, black polished stone skull cufflinks and black patent evening shoes.

Orlando Bloom: The winner of the MTV Movie Awards ‘Best Fight’ nod for his role in ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,’ he took to the stage in a monochromatic, head-to-toe Lanvin ensemble. Despite the clashing navy-blue colours, he may be one of the few who could nonchalantly pull off the long fitted coat, worn over an over-dyed button-up cotton shirt, an under T-shirt and cotton pants. Still retaining his cool factor, he accessorized with a few strands of statement pendant necklaces and black hi-top sneakers.

Ellie Goulding In Alon Livné - MTV Movie Awards Performance

Ellie Goulding performed songs from the ‘Divergent’ soundtrack during the 2014 MTV Movie Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (April 13) in Los Angeles, California alongside electro-house DJ and producer Zedd.

Opting to go barefoot, the singer wore an Alon Livné Spring 2014 gown consisting of a gold sculptured bodice, which was perfectly in tune with the futuristic theme of the movie’s soundtrack, and a flowing white skirt slit to the hip.

Her Giles & Brother cuffs couldn’t be a more perfect way to style this part-futuristic part-boho look.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum In Pamella Roland - MTV Movie Awards 2014

Jenna Dewan-Tatum joined hubby Channing on the red carpet for the MTV Movie Awards 2014 held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (April 13) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress worked a sultry look courtesy of Pamella Roland consisting of a sheer top with strategically placed sequins paired with a high-waist leather pencil skirt.

This look is not only perfect for an MTV event, but also a refreshing change of pace. I feel like I only ever see her in gowns on the red carpet, so I’m glad she got into the spirit of the event.

Cameron Diaz In Stella McCartney - MTV Movie Awards 2014

Cameron Diaz was one of the presenters during the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday (April 13) held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California, taking to the stage with her ‘The Other Woman’ co-stars.

Some have considered her promo tour very one-note, with one mini dress after another, but here she gives us something a tad different, wearing a Stella McCartney black bandeau top and a floral-embroidered high-waisted skirt which sits below the knee.

I know, I’m in shock too.

Isabel Marant strappy heels, a selection of jewels and a pretty pink lip completed her look.

Are you embracing this slight change of pace, or is it a case of same old, same old?
