Ana Fernandez In Clover Canyon - ‘Carmina y Amen’ Malaga Film Festival Premiere

Ana Fernandez added a splash of colour to the red carpet for the ‘Carmina y Amen’ premiere during Day 2 of the 17th Malaga Film Festival held at the Cervantes Theatre on Saturday (March 22) in Malaga, Spain.

The racerback bodice of her Clover Canyon ‘Space Garden’ maxi dress lends a casual-chic demeanour to her look, featuring layered patterns to create this striking print.

A simple ponytail, glossy nude lip and oversized black clutch completed her look.

Leticia Dolera In H&M Conscious Collection – 'Carmina y Amen' Malaga Film Festival Premiere

Leticia Dolera attended the ‘Carmina y Amen’ premiere on Day 2 of the 17th Malaga Film Festival held at the Cervantes Theatre on Saturday (March 22) in Malaga, Spain.

Bringing the high street to the red carpet, the Spanish actress wore a dress from H&M’s Conscious Collection.

You may remember that just last week Emmy Rossum wore the same dress; however, Leticia took inspiration from the look book to style her high-low black patterned frock with the turban we saw on the model.

Was this a wrong or a right move?

I think she makes the turban work. Not many could pull it off.

Aura Garrido in Oscar de la Renta - 'Carmina y Amen' Malaga Film Festival Premiere

Following the opening ceremony, Aura Garrido had a second chance to shine at the ‘Carmina y Amen’ premiere on Day 2 of the 17th Malaga Film Festival held at the Cervantes Theatre on Saturday (March 22) in Malaga, Spain.

The actress’s look was much improved, this time wearing an Oscar de la Renta Resort 2014 strapless indigo-and-white floral fil-coupé silk-gazar bubble-peplum dress that creates beautiful shape and silhouette.

Styled with a gold-trimmed Mascaró clutch, gold sandals and Anton Heunis jewels, with flowing glossy waves and a pink lip, this for me is a BDOTW-worthy look.

What an amazing turnaround from Day 1.

Patricia Conde In Emilio Pucci - 'Carmina y Amen' Malaga Film Festival Premiere

Patricia Conde attended the ‘Carmina y Amen’ premiere on Day 2 of the 17th Malaga Film Festival held at the Cervantes Theatre on Saturday (March 22) in Malaga, Spain.

Dressed in Emilio Pucci, the actress opted to tone down the Spring 2014 look – which featured an ethnic beaded bustier top, draped skirt and studded belt – by adding a scoop-neckline T-shirt.

Methinks this one should’ve hit the red carpet as Peter Dundas intended it; however, the belt is overkill with an already ornate bodice.

Mariam Hernandez In Christian Dior - 'Carmina y Amen' Malaga Film Festival Premiere

Mariam Hernandez attended the ‘Carmina y Amen’ premiere on Day 2 of the 17th Malaga Film Festival held at the Cervantes Theatre on Saturday (March 22) in Malaga, Spain.

Opting for a familiar Dior Spring 2014 black-top-and-ball-skirt combo that we’ve also seen on Natalie Portman and Ni Ni, Mariam’s look differs as her silver-metallic embroidered skirt features a high-low hemline.

Black Dior pumps completed her look.

Should the black-top-and-ball-skirt look be retired or do you love seeing the different variations on the red carpet?

17th Malaga Film Festival 2014 Opening Ceremony Red Carpet Roundup1

Here is a roundup of many more delightful Spanish beauties who graced the red carpet for the opening ceremony of the Malaga Film Festival 2014 held at the Cervantes Theatre on Friday (March 21) in Malaga, Spain.

Leonor Watling: The actress wore a very familiar Dolce & Gabbana design. The dress has had a revamp from the satin version which dominated the red carpet back in 2009, to this sequined version we see before us today. Leonor enlivened the look with a red pout and side-swept locks.

Ruth Nunez: Perhaps one of my favourites on this red carpet, Ruth’s lilac empire-waist gown is so very romantic, season appropriate and ultra-flattering. Minimal styling was the perfect way to honour this gown.
