Patricia Conde attended the ‘Carmina y Amen’ premiere on Day 2 of the 17th Malaga Film Festival held at the Cervantes Theatre on Saturday (March 22) in Malaga, Spain.

Dressed in Emilio Pucci, the actress opted to tone down the Spring 2014 look – which featured an ethnic beaded bustier top, draped skirt and studded belt – by adding a scoop-neckline T-shirt.

Methinks this one should’ve hit the red carpet as Peter Dundas intended it; however, the belt is overkill with an already ornate bodice.

Mariam Hernandez In Christian Dior - 'Carmina y Amen' Malaga Film Festival Premiere

Mariam Hernandez attended the ‘Carmina y Amen’ premiere on Day 2 of the 17th Malaga Film Festival held at the Cervantes Theatre on Saturday (March 22) in Malaga, Spain.

Opting for a familiar Dior Spring 2014 black-top-and-ball-skirt combo that we’ve also seen on Natalie Portman and Ni Ni, Mariam’s look differs as her silver-metallic embroidered skirt features a high-low hemline.

Black Dior pumps completed her look.

Should the black-top-and-ball-skirt look be retired or do you love seeing the different variations on the red carpet?

17th Malaga Film Festival 2014 Opening Ceremony Red Carpet Roundup

17th Malaga Film Festival 2014 Opening Ceremony Red Carpet Roundup1

Here is a roundup of many more delightful Spanish beauties who graced the red carpet for the opening ceremony of the Malaga Film Festival 2014 held at the Cervantes Theatre on Friday (March 21) in Malaga, Spain.

Leonor Watling: The actress wore a very familiar Dolce & Gabbana design. The dress has had a revamp from the satin version which dominated the red carpet back in 2009, to this sequined version we see before us today. Leonor enlivened the look with a red pout and side-swept locks.

Ruth Nunez: Perhaps one of my favourites on this red carpet, Ruth’s lilac empire-waist gown is so very romantic, season appropriate and ultra-flattering. Minimal styling was the perfect way to honour this gown.

Maria Leon In Dolce & Gabbana – 17th Malaga Film Festival 2014 Opening Ceremony

Maria Leon also looked lovely while taking to the red carpet for the opening ceremony of the Malaga Film Festival 2014 held at the Cervantes Theatre on Friday (March 21) in Malaga, Spain.

The actress opted for mostly black, including her nails, for her red carpet look, donning a sultry black Dolce & Gabbana strapless lace gown featuring a scalloped neckline, an elegant peplum detail and a fishtail hem.

Dolce & Gabbana lace dresses tend to have a samey feel to them, so I’m delighted that someone selected a style from the Italian duo which we haven’t seen before.

Silver jewels, fuchsia glossy lips and a sparkling pewter Louis Vuitton clutch completed her grand opening-ceremony look.

You may remember that Leslie Mann wore this same gown to the Golden Globe Awards.

Andrea Guasch joined a host of Spanish actresses for the opening ceremony of the Malaga Film Festival 2014 held at the Cervantes Theatre on Friday (March 21) in Malaga, Spain.

Opting to wear a Spanish designer, Andrea wore an Ana Locking Fall 2013 gown that’s a touch unconventional.

Her blue shimmering gown, traced with white arm openings which are enriched with crystal detailing, was effortlessly styled with a silver clutch, a carefree updo and blue nail polish.

Any other trinkets would’ve overcooked this floor-sweeping look.

Marta Hazas brought some sparkle to the red carpet for the opening ceremony of the Malaga Film Festival 2014 held at the Cervantes Theatre on Friday (March 21) in Malaga, Spain.

Her gorgeous ocean-blue Jorge Vazquez Fall 2014 long-sleeved fully sequined dress was sadly let down by the styling.

The belt was overly fussy and her black Jimmy Choo ‘Candy’ clutch isn’t very complementary to her summery-hued dress.

Barcenas and Tous jewelry provided the finishing touches.

Celia Frejeiro In Naeem Khan - 17th Malaga Film Festival 2014 Opening Ceremony

Celia Frejeiro graced the red carpet for the Malaga Film Festival 2014 opening ceremony held at the Cervantes Theatre on Friday (March 21) in Malaga, Spain.

She blew me away, wearing a pistachio caviar-beaded V-front empire-waist Naeem Khan Resort 2014 gown with an ostrich-feather skirt.

This look definitely has the wow factor that the previous two looks didn’t attain, bringing glamour, drama and elegance to the opening ceremony.

Sporting an updo with knots and braids, she completed her look with a gold Swarovski clutch and Yanes jewels.
