Red Carpet Fashion Awards

In my haste to get my weekend started last night, I didn’t see the pictures of Minnie Driver at the 2010 London Film Festival premiere for “Conviction” until this morning.

My jaw dropped to the floor as Minnie looks stunning wearing a Marchesa Resort 2011 gown.

Her cerulean blue draped chiffon column gown has a beautiful Egyptian embroidered collar and a wrap around detail at the waist.

I’m glad she only opted to use the black and not the gold.

I also love that she hid the black straps we see on the runway under her collar making her gown a halter gown.

This is how you modify a look from the runway for the better – take note Katie Holmes and Kerry Washington.

Yes I’m gushing over this look as Minnie has never looked more radiant.

I wish I’d seen this last night, but seeing Minnie now would you have voted her as your BDOTW?

We’ve seen a lot of Hilary Swank this week which she ends at the “Conviction” Premiere during the 2010 London Film Festival in Leicester Square tonight.

Hilary has worn a lot of short dresses for this promo tour, but tonight she wore a Donna Karan Resort 2011 gown.

Her metallic silver gown has a high-neckline and wrap effect which gives her a stunning silhouette and a sleek train.

With that neckline I wish Hilary had worn her hair up, but her the tousled waves are beautiful.

The clutch it a tad too big for my liking for a premiere, but overall I do like the old Hollywood vibe I’m getting from her look.

It’s been a long week, but has Hilary finally won your approval?

I was just about to put together the BDOTW post when I saw this gorgeous picture of Michelle Williams on the red carpet tonight for the 2010 London Film Festival Premiere for “Blue Valentine.”

The platinum blonde actress wore a beautiful Erdem ‘Margot’ red lace dress from the Spring 2010 collection with 3/4 length sleeves.

Her dress is slightly longer from the runway, but it doesn’t take anything away from her look.

What I love most about this look – apart from the dress – is the quiff and the animal print Charlotte Olympia heels.

Thank god they’re not matching her Charlotte Olympia clutch.

A very late BDOTW contender.

If you’re wondering about the hair colour, Michelle is currently filming “My Week With Marilyn” in which she plays the iconic Marilyn Monroe in the biopic.

For the after party following the “Never Let Me Go” London Film Festival Premiere, Carey Mulligan stayed in her Vionnet dress whilst Keira Knightley opted to change.

The star who wore Chanel Couture on the red carpet wore a Nina Ricci Resort 2011 dress to the party held at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

Keeping the same Charlotte Olympia black pumps some of us were not loving from the red carpet, Keira’s beautiful lace Nina Ricci dress was paired with a black blazer.

I love the delicate nature of this dress, plus the layered skirt and the way Keira always picks the right look which fits her style, but I would’ve loved to have seen this dress without the blazer.

After all she is inside.

Carey Mulligan looked beautiful on the red carpet for the 2010 London Film Festival Premiere for “Never Let Me Go”.

She also wore one of her favourite designers: Vionnet.

You may remember she wore this designer to the BAFTAs this year.

This time she wore a gorgeous Vionnet colour-block halter dress with Giuseppe Zanotti for Vionnet gold wedges from the Spring 2011 collection.

She’s lacking in energy here but her hair, dress and shoes are so beautiful that’s all I can focus on.
