Brie Larson In Valentino, Rodarte & Katharine Kidd – ‘Room’ Promo Tour

Brie Larson In Valentino, Rodarte & Katharine Kidd - 'Room' Promo Tour

It has been a busy week for Brie Larson who has been promoting her new movie, ‘Room’ from London to San Rafael, California.

London Film Festival Screening: On Sunday (October 11) the actress kept things short but sweet wearing a 60s-style Valentino dress with Paul Andrew’s signature pumps. I love the youthful energy this look possesses.

LA Premiere: On Tuesday (October 13) the actress shifted gears wearing a Rodarte Spring 2016 fully sequinned dress which did all the talking as she grounded the look with black pumps.

38th Mill Valley Film Festival: Ending the week on a bit of a bum note, there’s something about this Katharine Kidd Spring 2014 dress styled with Nicholas Kirkwood pumps look which I find terribly aging on Brie.

I love the first one, would only takes the dress from the second and do something to shake up the third.

Paloma Faith In Antonio Berardi – ‘Youth’ London Film Festival Screening

Paloma Faith In Antonio Berardi - 'Youth' London Film Festival Premiere

Paloma Faith attended the screening of ‘Youth’ during the BFI London Film Festival at Vue West End on Thursday (October 15) in London, England.

I love how the asymmetrical bodice and embellished gold sleeve detailing lends a distinctively modern touch to this body-skimming Antonio Berardi Fall 2015 sheath.

Paloma is known for very theatrical red carpet looks, so it’s interesting to see how she toned things down while still maintaining plenty of personality.

A Charlotte Olympia clutch and bejewelled black satin pumps provided the finishing touches.

Cate Blanchett In Esteban Cortazar – ‘Carol’ London Film Festival Screening

Cate Blanchett In Esteban Cortazar - 'Carol' London Film Festival Screening

Following her very disappointing showing at the photocall, Cate Blanchett joined Rooney Mara for the screening of ‘Carol’ during the BFI London Film Festival at the Odeon Leicester Square this evening (October 14).

Climbing back to form, the actress dazzled onlookers wearing a black and white cape dress from Esteban Cortazar’s Spring 2016 collection.

The stand-out piece possessed all the drama and intrigue we expect from Cate, but my feeling is some might not be so enamoured.

If that’s the case look at the images below which show that the gown is much more impressive in movement than stationary.

Has anyone else noticed that since promoting this movie Cate has adopted Rooney’s style of only wearing black, white or black and white?

Following the photocall, Rooney Mara attended the screening of ‘Carol’ during the BFI London Film Festival at the Odeon Leicester Square this evening (October 14).

Garnering a pretty feminine silhouette that instantly imparts evening elegance, the actress wore a ruffled fine lace knitted nude gown from Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2015.

We are used to her serving up romance in an edgy, gothic manner, but on this occasion she captured the mood in the most simple and sensual way.

Cate Blanchett In Givenchy - 'Carol' London Film Festival Photocall

Cate Blanchett joined Rooney Mara for the photocall for their latest movie,’ Carol’ during the BFI London Film Festival at Soho Hotel this afternoon (October 14).

Much like Rooney, I was left bitterly disappointed by Cate’s red carpet look.

Givenchy silk lace PJs, a black blazer and limp hair? It’s like she just couldn’t be bothered to make an effort.
