Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Menswear Weekend RoundupWith the MTV Movie Awards 2014 in Los Angeles, California and the Laurence Olivier Awards in London, England on this past weekend’s roster, the guys hit the red carpet with fashion guns blazing on both sides of the pond.

Jared Leto: Snagging a golden popcorn at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday (April 13) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live for ‘Best On-Screen Transformation’ in ‘Dallas Buyers Club,’ the actor was rock-star rad in a Lanvin black silk knot-embroidered, peak-lapel tuxedo jacket, teamed with aviator shades. Funky, MTV-worthy appeal came in the form of that black-and-white Hawaiian shirt, skinny dark pants and sneakers.

Tom Hiddleston: Looking ever so dapper, the British actor was dressed impeccably at the Laurence Olivier Awards on Sunday (April 13). He paired his sharply tailored, black Alexander McQueen single-breasted, one-button ‘McQueen shoulder’ tuxedo with a white evening shirt with black buttons, black polished stone skull cufflinks and black patent evening shoes.

Orlando Bloom: The winner of the MTV Movie Awards ‘Best Fight’ nod for his role in ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,’ he took to the stage in a monochromatic, head-to-toe Lanvin ensemble. Despite the clashing navy-blue colours, he may be one of the few who could nonchalantly pull off the long fitted coat, worn over an over-dyed button-up cotton shirt, an under T-shirt and cotton pants. Still retaining his cool factor, he accessorized with a few strands of statement pendant necklaces and black hi-top sneakers.

Laurence Olivier Awards - Red Carpet Arrivals

Myleene Klass attended the Laurence Olivier Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Sunday (April 13) in London, England.

The TV presenter took up most of the red carpet wearing a stunning Dennis Basso Spring 2014 black-and-white floral print strapless gown.

The love I have for this look is two-fold. Firstly the drama of the print takes my breath-away; then the show-stopping boldness of the whole look, especially the train, sweeps me off my feet.

Myleene never lets me down on the red carpet, whether she’s going sexy to the Brits or giving me heart palpitations in gowns like this; she’s always a pleasure to watch.

Gemma Arterton In Prada - Laurence Olivier Awards 2014

Gemma Arterton attended the Laurence Olivier Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Sunday (April 13) in London, England.

I’m sure plenty jaws were dropping in her wake as she glided down the red carpet wearing a flawless Prada gown.

This is a rare homerun for Miuccia Prada. One I’m vigorously applauding. I just love the how the sea foam green colour brings a soft feminine feel to the figure-flattering silhouette.

A glamorous bouffant and Faraone Mennella jewels completed this goosebump-inducing, BDOTY-worthy look.

Kristin Davis In Monique Lhuillier - Laurence Olivier Awards 2014

Kristin Davis attended the Laurence Olivier Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Sunday (April 13) in London, England.

After a brief flirtation with a different red carpet look, Kristin reverted back to what works best for her.

The actress, who is starring in ‘Fatal Attraction’ at the Haymarket in London, looked radiant wearing a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2014 sleeveless v-neck gown which is cut to skim the figure’s natural curves.

Styled with a stunning diamond encrusted Fabergé bracelet, ring and a box clutch, this is easily one of her best looks in a very long while.

I’m sure Charlotte York would agree. Do you?
